Grey Dawn.
It was a game recommended by my college junior when I was feeling bored during a rare long vacation.
Even though he knew well that I don’t usually enjoy games, seeing how excited he was to recommend it made me wonder if it was a pretty fun game.
“Hyung, give it a try. People say it’s difficult, but they’re just making a fuss. If you set your starting point well and follow a guide, it’s doable. There’s also the enjoyment of gradual growth.”
Since I had already turned down his attempts to draw me into his hobbies several times, I felt bad about refusing this time too.
Maybe I’ll just try it out. With that casual mindset, I searched for the game title online.
What immediately caught my eye was a post on a community forum.
[Do you know the game Grey Dawn? It. Is. Really. Damn. Difficult.]
I wasn’t sure what this meant at first, but it was content meant to intimidate others by boasting about the extreme difficulty.
This doesn’t seem like a game I could handle…
Skimming through the background information, I saw it had a medieval fantasy world setting.
The structure involved exploring a vast continent, conquering hidden dungeons, and challenging more powerful dungeons through farming.
In particular, the core content of this game was to conquer a total of 72 dungeons.
As I skimmed through the background description, there was a rambling text below saying guides were essential.
-Especially the final dungeon, being the worst demon realm that has never been conquered even in the game’s lore, has such extreme difficulty that no one has cleared it yet and so on and so forth…
-If you choose human as your race, you need to invest many points in health and so on and so forth…
-Characteristics are important, and characteristics are so and so…
Should I say it looks too difficult to even attempt? Or should I say the dark worldview doesn’t appeal to me?
Seeing that I didn’t feel any enthusiasm to play it, it probably wasn’t a game suited to my taste.
My junior, sensing my hesitation, recommended a system called [Birthplace Adjustment].
When setting up your character, if you apply the birthplace adjustment, it automatically allocates stats appropriate to your birthplace.
It was a system suitable for newbies who don’t know which birthplace is good, how to distribute stats accordingly, or which characteristics are beneficial.
After hearing all that, I stopped hesitating.
I boldly closed the window.
I’ve often been told that I’m slow to take action.
However, I didn’t want to carry that trait into gaming.
Why are games called games?
Aren’t they meant to be enjoyed lightly without worry?
Well, I haven’t played many games, but that was my thinking.
Since the game’s installation time was over an hour, I leisurely went to eat and came back.
The download had just finished, so I started the game without hesitation.
Character setup.
No need to rack my brain over complicated choices.
As soon as I entered, I saw the option [Birthplace Adjustment] and clicked it without much thought.
Newbies know nothing.
I don’t like complicated things.
Just as I was about to check the changed stats.
Without any warning, the screen emitted an intensely bright light.
And when I opened my eyes, I was in a completely different world.

First of all, this post contains information that might be helpful for newbies using the trait cheat.
Since you can only take 3 traits, taking the best ones will make the game enjoyable throughout.
Grey Dawn is a game with such high difficulty that many people give up after starting without guidance, so this is to help you experience the charm of its world.
To get straight to the point, I recommend taking a trait called [Hidden Bloodline].
It’s an S-tier trait, but the unfortunate part is that it only appears when you roll randomly. It’s not a trait you can select and apply directly.
Many people dislike the birthplace adjustment because it forces you into a storyline, but this trait can appear when rolling randomly even without using birthplace adjustment.
However, considering the traits that will be discussed later, I recommend using the trait cheat I’ve uploaded.
Here are its abilities:
-Initial stat base value penalty (-30%).
-Growth stat (Strength, Agility, Vitality, Magic) increase rate up by 200%.
-Additional stat increases possible when certain conditions (combat experience, special achievements, etc.) are met.
The initial stat penalty might seem significant in a game with extreme difficulty, but for long-term play, it’s almost essential.
If you utilize this trait properly, your rate of becoming stronger over time will be distinctly faster.
However, if you use this trait with birthplace adjustment, your chances of being called a mutant in that birthplace increase…

Have you ever seen cracks spread across the ground just from taking a step forward?
The sight of cracks forming in the ground like meteor impacts with each step forward naturally instills a desire to submit in those who witness it.
Despite being bare-bodied and looking like an ordinary middle-aged man you might see anywhere, the power he displayed made you feel an intense aura and dignity.
Are you talking about the story of the Heavenly Demon?
It might have been better if I had seen the Heavenly Demon, who stands above all.
Because there’s only one Heavenly Demon.
But before my eyes, just about everyone was running around breaking the ground.
“Try to catch me!”
“Haha, Serin! You won’t get away if I catch you.”
Between them floated the sweet atmosphere of lovers, but if you lowered your gaze just a bit, the scene below was devastating.
The ground was being scorched as if a war had broken out.
“Yahoo!”
When they put all their strength into their feet to jump high, I had to look up with my head tilted far back.
As a bonus, I had to watch rock dust scatter in all directions when they landed.
“Take this!”
When they extended their fists, not only did rocks disappear without a trace, but the shockwave alone caused trees dozens of meters away to fall like dominoes.
They throw themselves off cliff edges to train their bodies and practice jumping high to catch birds.
They say ball games break stones too quickly, so they make spheres from unheard-of minerals and kick them around, and when thirsty, they gulp down lake-sized amounts of water.
Such scenes were happening throughout the village.
For them, this was everyday life.
And why am I here?
The reason I, who cannot perceive the ordinary as ordinary, am here is because I suddenly opened my eyes in this place.
With memories of my past life.
