A week later...

A week had passed since Tsubaki joined the family and she had integrated well into the family. She had formed a good bond with Kuroka and Seri, due to her situation Kuroka could understand Tsubaki better and Seri somehow ended up being an elder sister-like figure to the girl.

Venelana also decided to adopt the girl and when she asked Tsubaki if she was okay with it, she started tearing up before accepting but she still wanted to serve Vivian.

Venelana was surprised and couldn't help but ask why and her answer amused her.....

" Venelana-sama, I wish to serve Vivi-sama! " Tsubaki answered nervously when Venelana told her about her plans for her.

Venelana told her she would take care of her train her and make sure she could protect herself and when she was an adult she could live her own life. 

She didn't need to be indebted to them and she could live freely, chase her dreams and live a fulfilling life.

Venelana was ready to even start a fixed deposit for her so that she could have a hefty sum of money for herself when she was of age. 

But Tsubaki wasn't happy when she heard this , on the contrary she was anxious , she felt the most free when she was near Vivian and she didn't want to be apart from him.

So she nervously conveyed her thoughts to the surprised Venelana. But Venelana didn't react the way she wished she would. 

" Tsubaki you don't have to feel indebted to us , we just did what was right and Vivian is a kind child who would try to help those in need " Venelana said with a smile as she felt Tsubaki was such a responsible child that she wanted repay favours. 

Not many adults had her integrity and this made Venelana more fond of Tsubaki. Venelana felt she had to train Tsubaki to be strong enough that her name would resound in the supernatural community and it would be tantamount to a slap on the face of the Shinra clan.

But she was once again dumbfounded when she understood Tsubaki really wanted to serve Vivian wholeheartedly as his aid , she said she wanted to be like Grayfia. She wished to be Vivian's personal maid. 

Venelana thought about it a bit , she wasn't averse to the idea but she just didn't want Tsubaki to regret the decision as in her eyes she was just a 7-8 year old child.

She was planning on Vivian being the leader of the Lucifer house , the ones from the old Satan faction don't count as her Vivian had much purer blood than them and would be much stronger.

So him having a trusted and competent aid isn't that bad. But still she decided to adopt Tsubaki as she felt the girl was very pleasing she already treated Cleria like a daughter so adopting Tsubaki wasn't that hard of a decision for her. 

Now the person in question needed to agree. She brought this matter up to her and the way her face showed a myriad of emotions from , fear , excitement , hope , doubt made Venelana sad as she knew that Tsubaki had an abusive childhood that led to her having low self esteem and self worth. 

Thus Venelana couldn't help but take the vulnerable girl into her embrace and comfort her , promising her that she would be her mother and she would protect and take care of her and all of the people in the household will be her family. 

She was a bit amused when the girl was still adamant about serving Vivian and was worried about the matter affecting her serving under him as technically she would now be a Vivians elder sister.

But Venelana assured her that she won't interfere in this matter and would even train her in being an aid if she wants. 

Grayfia was a 'Perfect maid' after all and she could tutor Tsubaki on a lot of things. Thus that day was a happy occasion for the family as one more member officially joined their family....

" Tsubaki put some more force into your waist " Venelana instructed Tsubaki as she was training her in hand to hand combat. 

" Hai! Okaa-sama " Tsubaki replied respectfully as she implemented what her mother told her. 

At first she was a bit shy but after a few days she was used to referring to Venelana as her mother and felt completely natural.

Venelana may not have given birth to her but she was much more of a mother to her than her real mother ever was. But that was really easy bar to cross but for Tsubaki it was a huge thing. 

Her mother trained her and Grayfia-nee taught her etiquette and manners to be a perfect maid. 

Although Venelana adopted her, she considered herself as Vivian's maid before Venelana's daughter.

And she also came to know her cursed power was a sacred gear , a gift from the Biblical god to humanity. 

Maybe before she may have resented her cursed power , as it was the reason for her suffering and even her own parents never acknowledging her, she resented this power and herself for being born with it. 

But now she was grateful for having it as she could be more useful to her 'Master' this way.

She would work hard to become stronger she could be more helpful to her new family as strength was the most important factor in the supernatural world...
