Legendary Shelter Survival Guide

Chapter 268: Choosing the trade

Lucas moved through the whole town trying different kinds of food and that was when he realized that he had already spent 200 notes on just food.

This made him reluctantly stop eating and go look for stuff he was actually here for.

After moving and asking stuff around while also getting memories from here and there, Lucas found some really important information.

There were big workshops and then there were small workshops for all the trades.

These workshops trained and employed the tradespeople in order to craft stuff for the people.

Now, Lucas had already thought that if there was no threat, why were there people moving here and there with armor and weapons while also making weapons too?

This question was answered by the previous Lucas with the help of the memories.

There were monsters, that too, very aggressive ones. They plagued the land and no matter how much the empires killed these creatures, there were always more that came out of nowhere.

Lucas knew that was just the spawn rate. Yet the people here did not know that and thought the evil gods of this realm were doing it.

Lucas did not understand one more thing, who was the god that the church made the people worship?

There were no records of any god at all and all the scriptures were secured by the church which were not shown to the civilians or even nobles.

It was all very suspicious and it had picked Lucas's attention yet it was not his fight.

His fight was waiting back at home after he learned all the stuff here.

Lucas put a stop to his thoughts and sat down in an inn to do some thinking.

'What should I pick first?'

This was what was boggling his mind.

Beginner Alchemy

Woodworking

Basic Enchanting

After getting each of these skills, for example- Alchemy, he had the normal basic knowledge of it which every person gets when they choose the class.

Alchemy meant using certain ingredients to make certain things out of scratch.

It needed a very specific understanding of ingredients and measurements. Which to Lucas's advantage, he had the knack for.

Smithing was another thing, it was the ability to change the shape of materials in order to make certain goods like swords, daggers, armor, and more.

The other for now were not so useful for him.

"Looking a little tense eh, lad?"

Lucas looked up and saw a shady-looking man that had come to his table. He looked only a few years older than him and to actually call Lucas 'Lad' was a bit offensive for him.

"Let me guess, you have gained your class and now you don't know where to go, am I right?" The man sat at the chair opposite Lucas and asked him with a toothy grin.

"… And what if I do?" Lucas said bluntly with cold eyes, he didn't like people who tried to be a smart ass.

"No No No, there is no need to be so defensive, I am here to help you." The man said after keeping his palm on the table and tapping his fingers on the table.

"Oh? And what help can you give me?"

"Information as long as you pay the price."

"No, thank you. I don't need it."

As soon as Lucas said that, the face of the man changed completely, he looked at Lucas with seriousness and then suddenly snapped his fingers.

In a matter of seconds, every man sitting in that inn started looking at him with killing intent.

Things were clear now, Lucas was in for a treat.

"You don't want to do this."

"Scared enough now, Little Bitch? Keep all your belongings on this table and start moving."

Lucas looked at the man again and sighed. This was happening. Since the guy had come, he had already sniffed the greed and sense of empowerment coming from him.

He then kept his hand on his chin trying to think better while the guy's eyes just kept twitching in frustration.

'Should I beat the crap out of them or should I leave? I am in the town right now, things will get messy if I do something.'

"Fucker!" The man had enough and he moved a slap toward Lucas who was still thinking.

One should know that Lucas was not an experienced fighter, he was an extremely experienced fighter. He learned from death events, not some training area under a teacher.

Lucas just smacked the hand away which was instinctual, he was still trying to think things through.

"AHHHHH!!!!! KKUHAAAAA!"

"Hm?"

Lucas looked in the front and after looking at the man, he became surprised.

The man's hand was fully busted with fingers going in multiple directions, even the arm had a big bruise.

"You… You are weak." Lucas admitted with his hand still on the chin.

While the man was crying for his hand, he got up and stared at each person who was looking at him.

They all averted their gaze and shivered not understanding what the hell had even happened.

He flicked his hand and a man had such a horrible state of hand?

"Y-You will regret this!!" The man said while glaring at Lucas who was just about to leave.

Yet now Lucas had stopped, he looked at the man again which made him shriek.

Lucas started taking small steps and with each one, the man started getting paler.

Until Lucas came face to face with him.

BANG!!

Lucas bashed the man's skull on the table and grabbed the head again. He looked at a certain window and then bashed it again.

The force was controlled, he wasn't actually going to kill the guy for something so small.

Lucas grabbed his hair and looked him in the eyes, his condition was not that bad, just a big bruise on his forehead and some cut skin on it.

"If… I see you do anything like this again. I am going to kill you… and one more thing… Lucas Garde, remember that name."

Lucas was going to move away but he took the dagger the man had and went away for real this time.

He looked at a certain place again and had an amused reaction.

'So you decided to run away huh… interesting."
