Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva

Chapter 136: A Small Gathering in the Flying Feather Star Domain_2

Five minutes later, a hover car drove out from the school and stopped beside the girl. Then the car door opened, and a familiar figure emerged, gently embracing Tilan.

"Long time no see, Deloris." Tilan caught the familiar floral scent on her and felt the hair brushing against her sensitive ear, as well as the faint pressure from her chest.

"Long time no see, Tilan." Deloris released Tilan, revealing a warm smile, then helped Tilan load her suitcase into the car before they both sat inside.

The black luxurious hover car started once again, turning to drive back into the campus, stopping at Deloris's residence.

"Stay at my place for the next few days." Deloris said as she led Tilan inside.

"Is it okay even if I'm not a student here?" Tilan remembered at Golden Flame Flower Academy, outsiders weren't allowed to stay to ensure the Songstress's safety.

"Yes, you just need to register simply." Deloris explained.

"Actually, many people ignore this rule and don't register." She murmured, lightly shaking her head.

"What would you like to eat tonight? I can get someone to make it for you."

"I'm not really craving anything special; do you have any recommendations, Deloris?"

"How about thyme-butter cod, freezing eggplant cubes, paired with some fruit salad?" Deloris suggested, casually naming a few dishes she was familiar with.

"Sounds great."

Then the two went inside, with Tilan following Deloris for a tour around the house.

"This house has two floors, which is the standard dormitory accommodation given by the academy. Inside, there's an autonomous unit for chores. If you want a feast, you can order directly from your personal terminal, where a major hotel in the dormitory area center will have chefs prepare and deliver it to the upper gate."."

"It feels even more luxurious than Golden Flame Flower Academy." Tilan marveled.

"Golden Flame Flower has a huge reputation, so they have to be more mindful of their influence, unlike here." Deloris said, pulling Tilan onto the plush sofa.

Her complex hair bun, with some strands falling to her shoulders, complemented by half-transparent lace floral decorations from her chest to her neck. Her outfit subtly accentuated her curves, and her skirt flowed smoothly like a fan.

After entering university for two years, Deloris's aura became more mature, though the changes wouldn't be drastic going forward.

While savoring ice crystal grapes from the table, Deloris introduced Tilan to her situation here.

"As you've seen, Micius Academy is an extraordinarily luxurious institution. In my first year, I often received invitations from classmates for gatherings. To build good relationships and familiarize myself with the environment, I attended many back then."

"After gradually becoming familiar, the frequency of my attending decreased significantly." Deloris said, lightly shaking her head.

"Some people's lives are quite decadent." She hesitated but decided not to share too many of the unsightly or dirty details with Tilan.

"Are there a lot of people pursuing Deloris?" Tilan asked curiously with a smile, as amongst the people she knew, Deloris's appearance could rank quite high, with a unique aura.

"Oh, that." Deloris sighed, covering her forehead as if it troubled her.

"Actually, initially, I didn't mind finding a suitable romantic partner during university, since it's easier to choose now. After graduation, it could easily turn into a business marriage."

"But upon gradually getting to know these classmates, I soon dismissed this idea."

"Is it because you don't fancy them?" Tilan looked at Deloris again, a move that Deloris caught, causing her to pounce playfully and tickle Tilan.

After a burst of laughter, Deloris tidied her hair and continued answering.

"Saying I don't like them might make me seem arrogant, but indeed, I couldn't bring myself to like them." She sighed, glancing at Tilan.

"If there were someone half as charming as little Tilan, it wouldn't be impossible to consider." She teased Tilan lightly.

"I mentioned before that this is an area where the finance industry is exceptionally developed and prosperous, attracting many investment institutions and large banks. Those who come to Micius Academy for further studies are either rich or noble."

"Also, because this place is filled with the wealthy, the entertainment industry is immensely developed. You can see many attractive boys and girls on the streets."

"I'm not saying I look down on others, but in such an environment, it's easy for people to lose their way, especially young men and women in their adolescence."

"Regarding the atmosphere, Four-leaf Crystal Star Domain is quite conservative and traditional, but not here. Various parties often evolve into certain scenarios where men and women end up in small rooms together, and I won't say more beyond that." Deloris swirled the coffee in front of her.

"Because I don't really like those overly open parties, I later stopped participating in them. I only occasionally go out shopping and traveling with some classmates who maintain their integrity."

"I see." Tilan tilted her head and thought about it.

"How about academics, how are the teachers?"

"Academically, it's quite good. The school has wealth, so they hire teachers who are master figures in their fields. However, there aren't many students who truly attend classes."

"Aren't many of them the children of wealthy families, who will inherit their family's businesses in the future?" Tilan inquired.

"That's right, but studying does require quite a bit of effort, and it's not an enjoyable matter. If the talent isn't sufficient, studying can be painful and uncomfortable."

"And with their wealth and power, they can enjoy a luxurious lifestyle even without studying, forcing them to endure such hardships feels unreasonable." Deloris remarked sarcastically.
