Finding Draka was incredibly easy, and upon doing so I was greeted with the sight of the Dragonkin freezing anything and everything around her with extreme prejudice, turning the swarms of Faeries into ice cubes and shattering them a moment later.

Both a staff of glittering and cold silver adorned with a giant ocean blue gemstone and her parted jaws spat out streams of pure, unadulterated Ice Mana, freezing her enemies and ensuring her safety through immense power.

Seeing it was just one of those reminders that I hadn't been 'too' blessed at the start of my new life with a rather strict set of points to spend on myself since she was just... decimating everything around herself; my more streamlined and all around approach was nice, but seeing a Dragonkin like this was beyond insane.

It could have been me there with that sort of natural born power, but instead I was a busty Dogkin named Kat(herin) who had a nice aptitude for Ice Magic and some talents in physical combat as well.

Still wouldn't change it since I ended up scoring myself a stud of a Demoness right off the bat and then I got two gorgeous and amazing futanari right after simply because my stud Demoness was... well, a stud.

Anyways, that is all to say I was a little jealous to see the Dragonkin wielding such incredible innate power after knowing that she didn't really want to use it, though instead of just ruminating on that and leaving her to fend for herself I stepped in and began to corral the Faeries to her.

That helped end this far quicker than anticipated, and upon seeing me the Dragonkin rushed over and swept me into her arms for a tight hug, rocking side to side as she murmured "Oh thank the Gods...", her voice cracking slightly from both worry and stress.

Letting her hold me for those few seconds, I carefully pried her off of me when I felt it was getting too intimate - natural reactions and such to both the immediate high of adrenaline needing a new outlet and me being me - even as I said "I'm here, it's alright... the Faeries are nasty little critters, aren't they?"

Taking her mind off of that rather 'obvious' reaction she had wasn't that simple, but she wasn't so far gone or stupid as to act on it, instead just blushing and looking away even as she said "Y-Yeah, they were just... Were they doing something to our heads..?"

To help her some more and because I knew the answer, I nodded and continued to look around as well, searching for our objective and saying "They were. Special kind of magic, apparently, that tethered them to us and allowed them to 'feed' off of us. Likely off of negative emotions, and the easiest way to get a surplus of them is through isolation and the unknown."

"Gods... that was... Let's get out of here as soon as possible, yes? I would rather be anywhere else right now."

I nodded in agreement, picking a direction that gave off more mana than the rest and walking side by side with the Dragonkin as we took some comfort in the others presence, all while we searched for that way out.

Jillian PoV

"Another down, who knows how many to go. These are nifty though... I quite like these; imagine having them a few months ago though? Wouldn't they have made things so~ much easier~?"

I flashed Ayla a grin and tapped the silver bracelet on my wrist, continuing to relish one of our more recent prizes that continued to make me happy simply by feeling its weight and looking at it.

"Very easy. The sort of things we could have done without leaving any evidence at all is astounding; the poisons we could have used, the traps we could have laid..."

She returned my grin as we walked through the streets together, leaving behind another Trial and perusing the others that were around us; meanwhile Prumstu drifted around us lazily, enjoying having done nothing yet again while also reaping a large amount of rewards.

"Don't think that, Jillian dear~! I am moral support and extremely readily available relief waiting for either of you to come to me~! Besides, that Trial was better for you two to get more experience in fighting mana resistant monsters~!"

"Excuses..."

Even as some venom filled my tone at her explanation, I still couldn't help but agree with her since she was what was keeping this all together; she was the 'glue' for Ayla and I, because there was a very clear philosophy difference about these Trials.

I wanted to just clear everything and anything for all sorts of rewards - materials, upgrades, weapons, trinkets and anything in between - while she wanted to be more focused and smart with what we did and when we did it.

I thought we could get the attention of our observers by clearing everything and she thought this was a test that we needed to navigate through perfectly; neither of us was really willing to bend all that much without the other giving up something, and... well...

Ayla wasn't going to give me anything, so I was forced to concede my side simply because I knew it was better to have her somewhat irritated with me - as I was with her - then to not have her at all.

Having her squirming beneath me and begging me for more was what I needed to make this bearable, but I also needed her prowess in battle and her intelligence when it came to figuring out the more obscure Trials.

Prumstu helped me with that since she calmed Ayla down and convinced her to come to bed at the end of the night willing to be beneath me again, and it was this sort of back and forth that made it clear we weren't doing too great right now.

Honestly being here was a blessing and a curse, but I was dealing with it and making the most of it as I followed behind my genius woman and waited for her to point me in the right direction, letting her have this moment before I reminded her the difference between us...

I could feel the eyes on me, the expectations and the anticipation; the observers were watching, and it was only a matter of time before we were deemed worthy to ascend, to go to the next level and get stronger before that damnable Demoness found her way here.

If she wasn't already here; the amount of Trials being completed was staggering, and while that could have been from the past I just... had a feeling that they were here, or at the very least they were coming.

And if they were coming, they were going to ascend; they all thirsted for knowledge and power just as much as we did, and I planned on making our presence known sometime soon, to let them know that we would be waiting for them when they followed in our footsteps~!

They would ascend and we would smash them into the ground immediately; I would have that Demoness pleading at my feet as I used that Dogkin at my leisure, and afterwords I would make her watch as I enjoyed the Princess as well...

As was my right as her better, as someone more worthy of those two perfect whores...
