Chapter 87: Chapter 21

The greenhouse glowed faintly under the moonlight, its serene beauty amplified by the gentle hum of life radiating from Pamela's beloved plants. She stood with renewed determination, her earlier despair replaced by a fiery resolve to win Naruto's heart. But as she braced herself to continue her efforts, a voice as soothing as the wind through leaves interrupted her thoughts.

"Good, that is the spirit, my child."

Pamela froze, her body tensing as she turned toward the source of the voice. A serene figure stepped forward, her every movement carrying an aura of ancient power. The very air seemed to shift, the hum of the greenhouse fading into an almost deafening silence.

"How did you get in here?" Pamela demanded cautiously, her connection to her plants momentarily dulled. It unnerved her—nothing, not even Batman, could sneak up on her like this.

"I am a friend, and you have no need to fear me. My name is Gaea," the woman said with a gentle smile. Her presence radiated calm and authority, and the plants around them bowed ever so slightly in acknowledgment.

Pamela's eyes widened. "The Great Mother?" she whispered in awe, her earlier wariness replaced by reverence. She quickly inclined her head, an instinctive show of respect. "I am honored to meet you. How may I be of service?"

Gaea stepped closer, her movements fluid as though she were one with the earth itself. "I am here to help you in your pursuit of Naruto Uzumaki," she said simply, her voice as soothing as a lullaby.

Pamela blinked, stunned by the directness of the statement. "You… want to help me?"

"Yes," Gaea replied with a soft laugh. "Naruto is a child of extraordinary power and responsibility, but his heart is burdened, his soul fractured. He needs someone strong, someone nurturing, to guide him back to the light. I believe you can be that person."

Pamela's heart skipped a beat, a mix of hope and doubt swirling within her. "Why me?"

"Because you care for him deeply," Gaea said, her gaze warm and knowing. "You see beyond his power, beyond his pain, and wish to heal him. But you are right to feel the disparity between you. Naruto's strength, both physical and spiritual, is immense. To stand beside him, you must grow as well."

Pamela considered the words carefully. She couldn't deny the truth in them. While she had her abilities, Naruto operated on a level far beyond hers, a level that made it difficult for them to truly connect.

"I will enhance your powers," Gaea continued. "With my blessing, your bond with nature will deepen, your strength will rival his in ways that matter, and most importantly, your presence will soothe his heart. It will give you a chance to reach him as few others can."

Pamela hesitated. The offer was tempting, but it felt monumental. "Why are you doing this?"

Gaea's smile grew softer. "Because Naruto's journey has been long and painful. As much as I see him as a child of great potential, I also see him as a child in need of love and healing. And I cannot bring myself to stand idly by while he suffers. You, Pamela Isley, have the compassion and determination to make a difference in his life."

Pamela felt her resolve harden. She couldn't let her doubts hold her back. If this was the path to reaching Naruto's heart, she would take it. "I accept your offer," she said firmly.

Gaea raised her hands, and the room filled with a soft, golden light. Pamela felt the energy coursing through her, her connection to the earth deepening to unimaginable levels. The plants around her seemed to sing in harmony with the energy, their growth accelerating, their vibrancy amplifying.

As the light faded, Gaea placed a gentle hand on Pamela's shoulder. "Use this gift wisely, my child. And remember, love is not about power or control—it is about understanding and connection. Help Naruto heal, and you will find your own strength in the process."

Pamela nodded, a newfound confidence surging within her. "Thank you, Great Mother. I won't waste this chance."

Gaea smiled and began to fade into the ethereal glow of the greenhouse. "Good luck, Pamela. The journey will not be easy, but it will be worth it."

Pamela stood in the silence that followed, her heart steady and her determination unshaken. She would fight for Naruto—not just as a lover, but as someone who genuinely cared for the man beneath the burden. With Gaea's blessing, she felt ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

The morning sun filtered through the tranquil skies of Naruto's dimension, casting its warm glow over the familiar yet recreated world of his past. After a hearty breakfast with Hima, Naruto had made his decision for the day: he would divide his responsibilities. Sending clones to handle the prisoners he had apprehended, Naruto himself ventured into the dimension he had crafted—a haven that mirrored the lost world of his childhood. Today, however, his focus would be on a pressing matter within this serene realm.

Naruto arrived at the vast ocean that stretched across a section of the dimension. Its crystalline waters shimmered with an unnatural clarity, reflecting the perfection of a world created by a immortallike hand. Standing at the edge of the shore, Naruto's presence seemed to command the attention of the entire landscape. He called out, his voice steady but firm, "Come out, I am here to talk."

The surface of the water remained still for a moment before ripples began to form. Slowly, a figure materialized above the waves, a woman seemingly sculpted from water itself. Her form was elegant and fluid, her features both ethereal and hauntingly beautiful. This was Naiad, a being of water and chaos, whom Naruto had confined to the ocean after rescuing her from a destructive path.

"Thank you for saving me," Naiad began, her voice carrying a gentle yet sorrowful cadence. "I was on the brink of doing something irreversible."

Naruto nodded, stepping onto the water's surface as if it were solid ground. His chakra radiated calm control, allowing him to approach Naiad with measured steps. "My name is Naruto," he said. "What is yours?"

"Naiad," she replied. "I am a being from another dimension, stranded here after my own world was destroyed."

Naruto's expression softened at her words. "I understand your pain," he said, his tone compassionate yet curious. "But tell me, what happened to you?"

Naiad hesitated, her liquid form quivering slightly as she gathered her thoughts. "I encountered a woman—a being of darkness," she began. "Her presence was overwhelming, and when her powers touched me, something inside me... broke. I was consumed by a desire for chaos. I couldn't control it."

Naruto's eyes narrowed as a surge of irritation flickered across his features. His mind immediately turned to the likely culprit: a primordial being, one of the conceptual entities that often meddled in worlds for their amusement or agenda. "Damn these primordials," he thought, suppressing the urge to voice his frustration. "Can't they keep their games to themselves instead of using this world as their playground?"

Yet, despite his inner turmoil, Naruto maintained his composure. He had begun to regain his emotional balance in recent weeks, a testament to the efforts of those around him—his daughter, and the women who had started to thaw the ice around his heart. "I understand," he said, his voice steady. "I'll deal with this, but I can't allow you to leave this ocean if you want to stay in this world."

Naiad lowered her gaze, her liquid form rippling in unease. "I wish to serve," she said at last, her voice resolute. "You are the closest thing to Gaea I have encountered. It is your right."

Naruto shook his head. "If you truly wish to serve me, make it your choice, not something tied to Gaea. This is between you and me, not her."

Naiad's form shimmered as if strengthened by her resolve. "I wish to serve you," she said firmly. "I feel the immense connection you have with the oceans, and I want to stand by your side."

Naruto regarded her carefully, his gaze probing. "Very well," he said after a moment. "But know this—I am not an easy person to follow. My path is harsh, and the life of those who walk with me is not without struggle."

"I will do as you ask," Naiad replied with a serene smile. She could sense the sincerity in Naruto's words and his subtle attempt to discourage her. It only strengthened her faith in him.

With a nod of acceptance, Naruto extended his hand, his chakra flaring as he formed a bond with Naiad. She became part of him, representing his connection to the water element. It was a significant moment for Naruto—Naiad was the first being of nature he had encountered who willingly chose to serve him. Her presence symbolized not just power but also trust and faith in his leadership.

As Naiad merged with his energy, the ocean glowed briefly, its waters resonating with their shared connection. Naruto stood in silence for a moment, gazing out at the horizon. For the first time in a long while, he felt a sense of progress—not just in his mission, but in his ability to move forward.

In the dark confines of the holding space where Naruto kept the Enchantress and her human host, June Moone, the atmosphere was tense and electric. Unlike his calm interaction with Naiad, this confrontation carried a dangerous edge. The Enchantress was volatile, powerful, and, most of all, unpredictable. Naruto, however, remained unflinching.

"You dare imprison the Enchantress?" the entity snarled, her voice echoing with malevolent power.

Naruto stood before her, unimpressed by her theatrics. His gaze was sharp and unyielding, a reflection of the immense authority he commanded. "I dare," he said coldly, his voice steady and resolute. "And it would be better if you understood your situation. You have two choices: leave the body you're possessing or cooperate with her. If you refuse, I will erase you entirely."

Naruto's hand glowed with a golden aura as he extended it, holding the Enchantress's incorporeal essence in his grasp. The ancient sorceress felt an unprecedented force constricting her—a power vast and unfathomable, as though the weight of the entire universe bore down on her existence. For the first time in millennia, the Enchantress felt fear. She was no longer the predator but the prey.

"I do not want to leave," she finally said, her voice trembling despite her efforts to maintain composure. "I will work with the mortal girl. Her soul is strong."

Naruto studied her intently, his piercing gaze cutting through her bravado. He saw the truth in her words and nodded. "Very good," he said, his voice softening slightly. "You've made the right choice."

His golden energy surged, enveloping both the Enchantress and June Moone in a radiant cocoon. The light seemed to cleanse the darkness, binding the two entities in a harmonious balance. When the light faded, June's eyes fluttered open, her expression one of awe and relief. She sat up, breathing heavily, as if a great weight had been lifted from her soul.

"Thank you for saving me," she said, her voice quivering with gratitude. "But if you don't mind me asking... why have you let her stay inside of me?"

Naruto knelt before her, his expression gentle yet firm. "The Enchantress has made many enemies. Her presence has left a mark on you, one that cannot simply be erased. Even if she were gone, her enemies would still come for you, seeking revenge for the pain she caused. However, I see a strong soul within you, June. You have a desire for justice. Use her powers for good."

June nodded, her resolve strengthening as she absorbed his words. She watched as Naruto produced a small tray of food and set it before her. The gesture was simple yet profound, a reminder of the humanity he had not lost despite his immortallike powers.

"Will you erase my memories?" June asked hesitantly, fearing the answer but needing to know.

Naruto considered her for a moment before replying. "I would have done so before, to protect you from the burden of knowing too much. But now, I leave the choice to you. What do you want?"

June blinked in surprise. She hadn't expected to be given a choice, especially by someone like Naruto. Her opinion of him rose even higher. "Can you put a block on my mind instead? So no one can read my thoughts?"

Naruto smiled faintly, his golden eyes shimmering with runes of immense complexity. "It is possible, and it is done."

June felt the change immediately, a reassuring barrier settling over her mind. For the first time in years, she felt secure. "Thank you," she said softly. Then, after a moment of hesitation, she added, "Could I ask for some of your time? I... I haven't talked to anyone for so long."

Naruto's smile widened slightly, the corners of his lips lifting in a rare display of warmth. He sat down across from her, his posture relaxed. "Okay," he said simply. "What do you want to talk about?"

June's nervousness melted under his calm demeanor. She realized this was her chance to connect with someone, to feel human again after being overshadowed by the Enchantress for so long. Taking a deep breath, she began to speak, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, she felt heard.
