Naruto: Reincarnated as Sasuke Uchiha with Perfect Talents.

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Want Both the Mission and the Companion

Sasuke glanced at the ninja standing in front of Kakashi.

Who was this person?

Sasuke was eager to figure out their identity. After all, this wasn't someone who appeared in the original storyline. Just who was this guy?

However, there were more pressing concerns. Sakura's condition was critical, and if they didn't find a way to treat her soon, things could take a fatal turn.

Naruto, holding Sakura in his arms, called out, "Sasuke, let's get out of here!"

At that moment, all Naruto could think about was Sakura's safety.

Sasuke thought carefully before replying, "Head east, cross the border of the Land of Waves, and get back into the Land of Fire!"

"I remember there's a small Konoha settlement there."

"There should be a stationed ninja unit, and we might be able to find a medical ninja among them!"

"East, huh?"

Naruto glanced in the direction Sasuke indicated but hesitated.

"How far is it... and will we make it in time?"

Sasuke considered for a moment before answering, "If we can get there within half an hour, she should still have a chance."

Naruto frowned. Sasuke hadn't said how far it was, but half an hour wasn't much time.

Could he make it?

Sasuke felt a pang of regret. If he hadn't used up so much chakra earlier, he could've used Lightning Flash to speed through the distance and barely make it in time.

But then Naruto exhaled lightly.

"Don't worry, Sasuke. Leave it to me!"

"I'll get there in time!"

Sasuke was taken aback. "What do you mean by that?"

Naruto gave a small smile. "I'll take care of Sakura. But Dazna was captured, wasn't he?"

"If we accepted this mission, we can't abandon him so easily!"

"Leave him to you!"

With that, Naruto turned without hesitation and sprinted east at full speed.

Sasuke wasn't keen on rescuing Dazna. If it came down to it, he'd rather stay here and help Kakashi deal with the enemy in front of them.

But then, the system chimed in unexpectedly:

[Ensure Dazna's safety. Failure is not permitted for your first mission.]

[Completion will reward you with a Genin starter pack.]

Sasuke sighed.

If that was the case, then saving Dazna became a priority.

After all, this was his first mission outside the village. If it ended in failure, it could have serious consequences for the future plot.

Sasuke didn't want to alter the storyline too much. Knowing the future gave him a significant advantage, but if too many events were changed, it would lead to unforeseen consequences.

And that would erase his edge entirely.

"Alright..."

'That ninja is fast. I just hope I can catch up,' Sasuke thought.

He took a moment to gauge the remaining chakra in his body.

The battle with Zabuza had drained nearly 90% of his energy. After using the Lightning-Style Shadow Clone, Sasuke's chakra reserves should have been almost completely depleted.

Yet now, Sasuke felt his chakra had recovered to about a third of its total capacity.

The more he pushed his chakra to its limits, the faster it seemed to replenish though once it reached a certain threshold, the recovery slowed significantly.

With a third of his chakra restored, Sasuke judged he could sustain Lightning Flash for a few minutes, which might be just enough to catch up to the ninja who had taken Dazna.

"Lightning Release: Godspeed Lightning Flash!"

Crackle!

Electricity surged around Sasuke's body as he shot forward, a streak of lightning darting through the forest.

In mere moments, the electric streak vanished into the distance, leaving Kakashi momentarily stunned where he stood.

'So, he's going after Dazna?'

'Don't overdo it, Sasuke...'

Even Kakashi couldn't escape punishment if the mission failed. He knew too well what failure could mean his father had paid the ultimate price after a failed mission.

Now Kakashi faced the same dilemma: prioritize his teammates or complete the mission.

But Naruto and Sasuke had clearly decided they wanted both.

Zzzzt!

Flashes of electricity lit up the forest as Sasuke raced after the ninja with Dazna.

Activating his Sharingan, he tracked the faint traces left behind by his target's movements. Without the Sharingan's aid, it would've been nearly impossible to use Lightning Flash effectively for pursuit.

Several minutes passed, and Sasuke's chakra ran out again.

As Lightning Flash deactivated, he kept his momentum, charging ahead on foot while his chakra swiftly began to regenerate.

Within minutes, he regained another third of his energy.

"Lightning Flash!"

Crackle!

The forest lit up once more as Sasuke resumed his pursuit.

Meanwhile, in a clearing deep within the forest, the ninja who had taken Dazna stood calmly.

He had tossed the unconscious bridge builder under a tree and was observing Sasuke's rapid approach through a unique sensory technique.

"What kind of jutsu is this?" he muttered.

"To unleash such speed it's reminiscent of the Lightning-Style Chakra Mode used by the Hidden Cloud."

"But this technique seems focused purely on enhancing speed."

"Even so, mastering something like this at his age is impressive."

What intrigued him even more was that he had never seen this jutsu before.

That left only two possibilities:

The first was that this was a secret technique belonging to some hidden clan or village, unknown to the broader shinobi world.

The second, and more likely, was that Sasuke had developed it himself.

"An impressive feat either way," he murmured, his curiosity piqued.

Uchiha Sasuke, born into the Uchiha clan, shouldn't have access to some secret technique from elsewhere.

This leaves only one possibility: this technique was developed by Sasuke himself.

If Sasuke truly created it on his own,

then his talent is far greater than imagined.

"Come on!"

"Let me see if you're fit to become my vessel!"

At this moment, Sasuke stopped about 100 meters away from the location.

The chakra in his body was nearly depleted.

Using his Sharingan, Sasuke noticed some changes in the footprints ahead.

It seemed that the opponent had slowed down upon reaching this area.

This likely meant that the enemy wasn't far away.

In that case, he needed to recover some chakra first; otherwise, if he encountered the enemy with no chakra left in his body,

how could he fight?

The opponent had already sensed Sasuke's presence.

Seeing that Sasuke had stopped, seemingly to restore his chakra,

"Impressive caution..."
