Chapter 11 - The Yandere CEO's Paranoid Love (10): The Show Inside the Door
“Let’s go, Qiqi, I’ll take you to watch a show.”
Qi Yan looked at the hand being pulled by a little devil and smiled evilly.
Qiqi, this long-lost and familiar term, how long has it been since someone called him that? He almost forgot, maybe it really has been too long.
The principal’s office door was casually closed by the girl, obscuring the contents inside.
“Ranran, the door is closed. Does that mean we can’t see the show anymore?”
Qi Yan played with Shi Ran’s fluffy hair and asked innocently, but Shi Ran detected a hint of schadenfreude in his voice.
“What’s closed off often becomes more intriguing. What do you think, Qiqi?”
“Mm, you’re right, Ranran.” Qi Yan could no longer hide the smile in his eyes, “So Ranran, have you thought about how to continue watching the show?”
“Not yet.” The girl’s words held no regret, only a casual indifference.
Shi Ran observed her surroundings. On the wall facing the principal’s office door was a vent. It seemed to be the only way to see inside.
“Qiqi…” The girl’s eyes were clear and bright, shining like stars, as if starlight had just appeared.
At the same time Shi Ran noticed the vent, Qi Yan already knew, and he was not surprised.
“Should I carry you?” Qi Yan’s lips curled up teasingly, but the amusement in his eyes was impossible to hide.
The noble man from before now showed his true colors, shedding the facade.
The girl did not answer but responded with action. She wrapped Qi Yan’s arms around her waist and leaned her back against him.
“Carry me, Qiqi.” Shi Ran said calmly, ignoring the man’s teasing.
Looking at the girl who only came up to his shoulder, Qi Yan couldn’t help but laugh. It was rare to drop this gentlemanly image and tease the little girl, yet she seemed unimpressed.
“Be careful.”
Then he lifted the girl. When Shi Ran found a foothold, she stepped on the man’s shoulder to push herself up to the protruding place by the vent.
Everything inside the principal’s office was clear to see.
“Principal, did you… need something from me?” The girl in the school uniform lowered her head, appearing very timid.
“Mu He, you know that our school is an elite school, right?” The voice came from the principal, who was now completely different from how he appeared in public.
His eyes fell unabashedly on the fragile girl before him, with an inappropriate glint in his eyes.
“Yes, it was you, the principal, who selected me as a special recruit and gave me the opportunity to study at Lichen.”
Seeing the girl fall into his trap, the principal’s sinister face grew even more malevolent.
“But if you want to continue staying at Lichen…” the principal coaxed.
“Come to the old place tonight at nine, and you can continue to stay at Lichen. Don’t your uncle and aunt want you to graduate from here?”
His treacherous intentions were now exposed, “Otherwise…” The implication was clear.
Mu He felt a tremor in her body, her fists clenched by her sides, but she couldn’t utter a single “no.”
Seeing that Mu He was aware, the principal’s face showed satisfaction.
As the show in the principal’s office neared its end, Shi Ran no longer lingered. She looked down to find the man gazing at her with interest.
“Catch me.” After saying this, she turned and jumped down. The familiar warmth mixed with the scent of tobacco filled her senses.
“Is it good?” The man’s deep voice was right beside her, his eyes full of interest.
“Of course.” The girl smiled brightly, completely ignoring their current position.
The man held her waist with both hands, and her legs were wrapped around his waist.
“Little one, does that mean you’re going to run away once the show is over?”
“Yes, so Qiqi, let’s escape together.” The girl coaxed.
“Okay.”
Although they spoke of running away, it felt more like a leisurely stroll. Qi Yan didn’t ask Shi Ran what had happened in the principal’s office, as if everything was under his control.
