Rebirth in Journey to the West: Sun Wukong

Though the Tianlan Mountain Range is a perilous place, within the peril lies small segments of Cave Heaven and Blessed Land. The Demon Court's established sect is located within such a small section of Blessed Land in the Tianlan Mountains. After Hongjun Daoist Ancestor and others set up the Sect Protection Array, the massif became the best natural defense.

Various major forces have attacked the Demon Court multiple times to no avail, losing soldiers and generals, which is partially due to the perilous terrain of the Tianlan Mountain Range.

Relying on the Void-Breaking Moon Eyes, Sun Wukong flew straight into the Tianlan Mountain Range, passing through gaps that could trigger the mountain's Formation Prohibitions and Restraints without activating them. Thus, he arrived before the small section of Cave Heaven and Blessed Land deep within the Tianlan Mountain Range, where the Demon Court's sect is located.

Before him, there was no grand mountain gate, not even a sign of a sect's presence. The entire Demon Court was obscured by formations, making it difficult for anyone unaware to discover the entrance, except for Sun Wukong.

Although Sun Wukong was still in the Heavenly Realm when the Demon Court was established and didn't participate, he has some accomplishments in Formations and Restraints. Moreover, with the Void-Breaking Moon Eyes, no Formation Prohibitions and Restraints can deceive his eyes!

"Voom~!"

He directly stepped towards the concealed mountain gate; after the space rippled like water waves, Sun Wukong's figure disappeared, entering the mountain gate.

"Who dares intrude into my Demon Court?"

Just after entering, a figure flashed, holding a Crimson Flame Dragon Spear and stepping on Wind-Fire Wheels. Who else could it be but Nezha the Third Prince?

"Nezha, even you are guarding the mountain gate now?"

Sun Wukong chuckled at Nezha the Third Prince. Other sects usually have low-rank disciples below Domain Soldiers guarding their gates, yet Nezha, with Domain King cultivation, was personally guarding the gate; it seems the Demon Court is indeed short of staff!

"Wukong! You've finally returned!"

Seeing Sun Wukong clearly, Nezha was overjoyed, put away the Crimson Flame Dragon Spear, and landed before Sun Wukong with a face full of excitement.

"Wukong, what exactly does the Heavenly Emperor's Legacy entail? I don't see any obvious improvements in your cultivation!"

Nezha looked Sun Wukong up and down several times, a trace of doubt appearing on his face.

"Hell with the Heavenly Emperor's Legacy, it's all a scam! Luckily, I didn't fall for it; otherwise, you might not be seeing the real me now!"

Talking about the Heavenly Emperor's Legacy got Sun Wukong riled up, snorting angrily.

"What happened?"

Nezha blinked, "Is the Heavenly Emperor's Legacy fake?"

"It's a long story, let's go inside first; when everyone is gathered, I'll explain in detail." Sun Wukong said, and only then did Nezha realize they were still standing at the mountain gate. Realizing it wasn't suitable for conversation, Nezha awkwardly laughed and led Sun Wukong into the sect.

News of Sun Wukong's return quickly spread throughout the Demon Court. Everyone dropped what they were doing and gathered in the meeting hall; it wasn't many people, just those who've ascended from the Three Realms to the Yuan Realm like the Hongjun Daoist Ancestor and an addition of Zhao Jun.

Zhao Jun had also left the Heavenly Dao Sect; a person seeks higher ground. When he was in the Heavenly Dao Sect, Zhao Jun wasn't valued much, or he wouldn't have had to venture out as a mercenary. After meeting Sun Wukong, his life seemed to skyrocket, even gaining eligibility to enter the once-unthinkable Heavenly Que Realm.

Moreover, Zhao Jun clearly saw the strength of Hongjun Daoist Ancestor and others. Instinctively, he knew that adventuring with Sun Wukong wouldn't be bad, staying in the Heavenly Dao Sect would only slow down his progress!

Water flows downward, people strive upward; Zhao Jun almost without hesitation followed Hongjun Daoist Ancestor and Leng Xuan in leaving the Heavenly Dao Sect, nearly angering the sect master and elders to the point of vomiting blood. Originally intending to attack the Demon Court, they halted seeing the repeated failures of other forces like Sky-shaking Cliff and Myriad Ghost City, and instead suppressed the Demon Court by allying with major forces.

But it was all in vain because the Demon Court wasn't interested in expansion or recruitment, rendering their suppression efforts pointless, like punching into cotton, frustrating them greatly.

Of course, these things didn't concern Hongjun Daoist Ancestor and his group; they were curious about what Sun Wukong encountered during his acceptance of the Heavenly Emperor's Inheritance, and why he claimed it to be a deception.

"There's no such Heavenly Emperor's Legacy, it was all a conspiracy!"

Sun Wukong sneered as he recounted in detail what transpired between him and the remnant soul of the Ancient Heavenly Emperor to the Hongjun Daoist Ancestor and others, "Luckily, I didn't fall for it; otherwise, I might've ended up being tricked by that remnant soul of the Heavenly Emperor!"

"Bah! These so-called Heavenly Courts and Heavenly Emperors are all no good!"

Luo Bai spat furiously, but then quickly realized, looking at Sun Wukong with an embarrassed smile, "Monkey King, uh, I didn't mean you—I meant those other so-called Heavenly Emperors, haha, haha…"

"It's alright, I'm not mad at you!" Sun Wukong waved his hand, "After destroying that remnant soul of the Heavenly Emperor, I used the Soul Searching Technique on its dissipating remnant soul and learned how to control the Heavenly Que Realm. Now, the Heavenly Que Realm belongs to our Demon Court, where you all can cultivate. Without my permission, no one else can enter!"

"Wukong, you've controlled the Heavenly Que Realm?"

Hongjun Daoist Ancestor's eyes brightened, "So the Heavenly Que Realm could become our Demon Court's inner sanctuary?"

"That's right! That's exactly my thought!"

Sun Wukong nodded, "The sect location in the Tianlan Mountain Range is too small, with limited development space; it can be used for recruiting Outer Sect Disciples. As for the Heavenly Que Realm, it should be the true foundation of our Demon Court. Only members of the Demon Cult ascended from the Three Realms are qualified to enter. Outer Sect Disciples who show exceptional talent, cultivation, and loyalty to the Demon Court may earn the opportunity to enter the Heavenly Que Realm after passing trials."

"Good idea, let's do it!"

Everyone found Sun Wukong's proposal fitting. Leng Xuan laughed, "Knew it, the boss wouldn't come back empty-handed from a treasure mountain! This solves the Demon Court's biggest problem; once the Two Realms connecting passage opens, the brothers and sisters from the Three Realms can come to the Yuan Realm, and we won't even need to recruit externally!"
