Chapter 10 - Absolute's Streaming – Episode 10

Absolute’s Streaming – Episode 10

Minseong greeted his viewers, his eyes locked onto the chat.

I thought it was a joke, but it’s actually a secret quest?
– A secret quest in the tutorial? Damn.
– That’s not even the craziest part. Look at the requirements! Who the hell can even clear this?
– Uh… him? LOL.
– But the secret quest is about killing the Corrupted White Night, right?
– He hasn’t even gotten the tutorial rewards yet. Can he even do that?

The chat was pure chaos.

Like merchants shouting to sell their goods, viewers bombarded the screen with nonstop questions. The difference from when Minseong first started streaming was like night and day.

The moment he went live, the viewer count shot up—so fast it was almost unbelievable. If someone had said it started at just a hundred, it wouldn’t be hard to believe.

Minseong knew exactly why.

‘This is all thanks to Seonghoon.’

The numbers were still climbing, faster and faster.

‘Still… I can’t just sit around and do nothing.’

Seonghoon had given him a clear plan: start the secret quest exactly five minutes after going live. That way, more viewers would gather.

But waiting in silence? That wasn’t Minseong’s style.

So, he decided to talk to the viewers.

“I’ll start the secret quest in five minutes once more people have joined. Until then, feel free to ask questions.”

And just like that, he jumped into chat interactions.

“Karen? Oh, that guy? Yeah, he had a real attitude problem. So, I put him in his place. Wanted a beating, so I gave him one.”
“Yeah, I just started playing yesterday. Surprising, huh?”
“Proof? No problem. Did it before, I can do it again.”

As he answered questions, he casually showed proof to shut down any doubters.

Meanwhile, the viewer count kept climbing.

Almost a thousand now.

Then, a thought hit him.

— “Wait, are you watching my stream again?”
— “Of course. It’s the first-ever secret quest in the Bloodline Saga. I can’t miss that. Plus… I’ve got something to do.”

Seonghoon had said he had ‘something to do.’

Now, with the viewership skyrocketing, Minseong could guess what that was.

‘Clever bastard.’

A smirk crept onto his lips.

At that moment, Seonghoon was watching the stream with the same expression.

“This bastard’s better than I thought.”

Minseong looked completely at ease, chatting effortlessly with viewers.

Even though he was about to tackle a secret quest, there wasn’t a hint of nervousness.

“I figured he’d just sit there for five minutes. Guess I was wrong.”

Seonghoon’s hands were busy, typing away on his phone.

[A BJ who unlocked a secret quest by killing 20 White Nights in the tutorial is streaming right now.]
[Dude, he just went live.]
[Insane reflexes. Best player ever.]
[Did you know this guy fought Karen and didn’t get hit once?]

Post after post, he spread the news across Bloodline Saga’s biggest online communities.

Pure clickbait, designed to bring in waves of viewers.

Because Seonghoon knew from the first stream—this guy, Minseong?

He was going to blow up.

Five minutes later.

The viewer count had already surpassed 4,000.

No doubt, Seonghoon’s work played a role.

But more than anything, it was the secret quest itself that was drawing this level of attention.

Something never seen before in Bloodline Saga history.

‘Great start.’

Minseong knew the hardest part was next.

Now, he had to keep them hooked.

Make them stay. Make them come back.

That was his job.

“All right. Time to start the secret quest.”

He reached out and activated the quest.

[Continuing your active quest.]
[Selected quest: Secret Quest – Karen’s Request.]

A distortion in the air.

Electricity crackled, and suddenly—Karen appeared.

“Follow me. I’ll guide you.”

Karen’s tone was polite.

– Wait… Karen using formal speech? WTF?
I thought this was fake, but it’s real. Holy shit.
– My heart is racing… but can he actually clear this?

While the chat exploded, Karen began explaining.

“The location of the Core Zone is a secret only I know.”

“Well… technically, it’s something my family has known for generations.”

A pause. Then, Karen continued.

“I’ve been waiting. For someone strong enough to destroy the Corrupted White Nights inside the Core Zone. But they have to be… new recruits.”

Minseong listened silently.

The chat continued buzzing.

– If it’s so dangerous, why not just hire strong players?
– Yeah, why leave it to newbies?

As if responding to their doubts, Karen said,

“You might wonder—why not hire powerful warriors? The answer is simple.”

He turned to face Minseong.

“Only new recruits can enter.”

“And this place—this Core Zone—is my family’s secret vault. It cannot be revealed to outsiders.”

His voice grew heavier.

“A long time ago, my family was powerful. But one event changed everything. They were slaughtered. Only weak remnants like myself survived.”

Karen clenched his fists.

“But even if we’ve fallen, our lineage still exists! And proof of that still lies in the Core Zone!”

Minseong started to understand.

Recruits—those still in the tutorial—were the only ones allowed inside.

Karen continued,

“I have waited here for someone with the talent to claim what’s inside.”

“But to enter, you must form a Blood Pact with me. A contract ensuring you will never reveal what you see.”

At that moment, a notification popped up.

[New linked quest unlocked: Blood Pact.]
[Will you accept?]

Minseong sighed dramatically.

“Man, I thought I was about to die sitting through all that.”

His body had been frozen the entire time Karen was talking. He hadn’t been able to move at all.

It must’ve been part of the game’s system—to force players to listen.

[‘HaYeeunSuperFan’ donated 100 won.]
– Yeah, that’s how it works. When NPCs explain quests, you can’t move.

Seonghoon confirmed his theory.

That was that… but what the hell was this linked quest?

Minseong checked.

[Blood Pact]

Form a Blood Pact with Karen.
Reward: Unlocks new linked quests after clearing Karen’s Request.
Penalty: Secret Quest Karen’s Request will become unavailable.
Simple.

Rejecting the pact meant losing the secret quest entirely.

No way in hell he was doing that.

He reached out and confirmed.

[You have accepted the Blood Pact.]

Karen sliced his palm.

His blood floated midair, forming a magic circle.

[Blood Pact formed.]
[You cannot reveal information about the Core Zone.]

“Good choice,” Karen said.

He led Minseong to a solid stone wall.

Karen whispered,

“What you see next… you must never tell anyone.”

Suddenly, the screen went black.

– WTF? Why’s the screen black?
– Yo, streamer! Fix your damn stream!
– HELLO?

Minseong smirked.

“Guess that’s part of the pact.”

– Oh… makes sense. The game’s blocking the location reveal.
– That’s kind of sick, not gonna lie.

A deep rumbling.

The stone wall split apart, revealing a hidden passage.

Karen stepped aside.

“This is where we part ways. I will wait here. I hope we meet again.”

Minseong nodded, then held out his hand.

“Give me your sword.”

Karen handed it over without hesitation.

With that, Minseong turned and stepped forward.

As he walked, torches on the walls lit up one by one.

The screen faded back in.

– Oh! It’s back!
– Let’s go!

A confident grin spread across Minseong’s face.

“All right then… let’s go hunt some Corrupted White Nights.”

This time, he wasn’t relying on old tricks.

This time, he was using the sword.

And with that—

The real secret quest had begun.
