Chapter 8 - Absolute's Streaming – Episode 8
Absolute’s Streaming – Episode 8
“Is he really doing this?”
The viewers couldn’t believe their eyes.
Minsung had thrown away his weapon, gathered the Baekya in one place by making noise, and then charged at them head-on.
The audience was certain—he would not survive the tutorial.
In Blood Survival (BlSa), every player learns basic combat skills from Karen before entering the tutorial. These skills are essential for progressing in the game, and the tutorial itself was designed to teach players how to use them effectively against the Baekya.
That’s why they were called “basic skills”—because they were fundamental to survival.
But Minsung?
He didn’t use a single skill.
He didn’t even fight the Baekya one-on-one. Instead, he gathered them all together and fought them all at once.
In a way, it was a strategy. He took advantage of their blindness and turned the battlefield into pure chaos.
It was a simple concept. Anyone could have thought of it.
And many had tried.
But no one had succeeded.
Because to make this strategy work, you needed to dodge every single attack.
Most players struggled just to take down a single Baekya in a one-on-one fight. To survive while surrounded by an entire horde?
Impossible.
And yet… that impossible feat was unfolding right before their eyes.
From the audience’s perspective, it looked like a brutal, primal battle for survival—Baekya tearing each other apart.
Because Minsung wasn’t the one killing them.
He had tricked them into killing each other.
It was like watching a perfectly choreographed play.
Every time the Baekya struck, it seemed like Minsung would be killed. But at the last possible second, he dodged. Again. And again. Flawlessly.
One by one, the Baekya collapsed.
At first, the viewers couldn’t believe it.
In BlSa’s entire history, the highest recorded number of Baekya killed in the tutorial was 10.
And that record?
It belonged to someone who had repeated the tutorial countless times just to reach that number. Even then, after killing 10, he had no choice but to climb the bamboo and skip the rest—because he knew he couldn’t go any further.
That was the limit.
Yet now…
The number of fallen Baekya kept increasing. 10… 11… 12…
And then, only one was left.
Minsung grabbed it.
The audience held their breath.
“How is he going to kill it?”
The answer came in the most insane way possible.
He bit its throat.
— “Uweeeek…!”
— “OH F**!!!”*
The chat exploded in pure horror.
BlSa is a hyper-realistic VR game.
Which meant…
When Minsung bit that Baekya, he experienced everything—the taste, the texture, the warmth of its blood.
And yet, he didn’t even flinch.
He casually spat out the flesh and wiped his mouth with his sleeve.
As if it were nothing.
And then, he thanked his viewers.
“Thanks for the donations, everyone.”
That was the moment it hit them.
The BJ (broadcaster) they were watching was not normal.
No—
This guy was completely insane.
— “This dude is the real f**ing deal!!!”*
The viewers went crazy.
They had to tell people about this.
— “His physical skills are just unreal.”
— “Are we watching the birth of the world’s greatest player??”
— “No arguments here. This guy is built differently.”
At that moment, Karen dropped down from the trees.
She surveyed the blood-soaked battlefield, completely stunned.
Then, her expression changed.
Her eyes sparkled with admiration as she gave Minsung a thumbs-up.
“A-Amazing!”
She was completely in awe.
Minsung, on the other hand, was unimpressed.
“That was just a warm-up.”
— “LMAO THE COCKINESS”
— “He’s calling this a warm-up when everyone else DIES in the tutorial?!”
— “Bro’s playing a different game.”
Then, Karen suddenly spoke up.
“If you’re this strong… may I ask for a favor?”
Minsung narrowed his eyes.
“A favor?”
He glanced at the chat.
— “HOLY SH* IT’S THE SECRET QUEST!!”*
— “No way, he actually unlocked it??”
Karen continued.
“There’s a place deep within the Silent Zone… the heart of this land.”
At that moment, a holographic screen popped up.
[You have met all conditions to unlock a Secret Quest.]
Requirement: 100% Karen’s approval.
Condition: Kill every Baekya in the tutorial.
[Secret Quest Unlocked: Karen’s Request]
[New quest has been added.]
Minsung scrolled through the details.
Meanwhile, the chat was on fire.
[‘NewbieScanner’ has donated 100 Won.]
— “DUDE, SHOW US THE QUEST. DON’T KEEP US IN SUSPENSE!!!”
Minsung smirked.
“Relax, I was just about to share it.”
He hit the ‘Share’ button.
— “THE REQUIREMENTS ARE INSANE WTF??”
— “You have to KILL EVERY SINGLE BAEKYA?!?!”
— “Bro, I wouldn’t even bother playing at this point…”
Minsung finally read the quest details.
[Karen’s Request]
Objective: Kill 20 Mutated Baekya in the Heart of the Silent Zone.
Reward: ???????
Penalty: If you die, you can’t log in for 48 hours.
The chat went wild.
— “??????????”
— “Huh?”
— “WTF KIND OF QUEST IS THIS??”
— “Dude, he hasn’t even gotten his tutorial rewards yet!!”
— “And there’s a 48-hour login ban if he dies??? LOL”
Even without explanations, everyone could tell—this was impossible.
But Minsung?
He wasn’t concerned.
He had already done the impossible once.
Why not again?
“How strong are these Mutated Baekya?”
The answer came quickly.
[‘NewbieScanner’ has donated 100 Won.]
— “You need to be at least Level 3 even to stand a chance. Basically, a Mutated Baekya is like fighting three normal Baekya at once. Their durability is insane. But you? You’re still Level 1. You haven’t even gotten your first stat points yet. Now, do you get how insane this quest is?”
Minsung tilted his head.
“So… if it’s just three Baekya combined, that’s not a big deal, right?”
— “?????”
— “???”
— “BRO, WHAT???”
The chat erupted in confusion.
But some viewers hesitated.
Because they had seen what he had just done.
— “Wait… what if he actually pulls this off??”
— “I mean, did you SEE his dodging earlier??”
Minsung smiled.
“Ah, a few of you get it.”
And then, he asked:
“If I log out now, will the quest save?”
The viewers instantly understood his plan.
— “No way…”
— “He’s gonna end the stream here??”
— “BRO, DON’T DO THIS TO US.”
A donation popped up.
[‘HayeunFan’ has donated 100 Won.]
— “Yeah, your progress is saved. You can continue from here next time.”
Minsung nodded.
“All right. That’s it for today’s stream.”
The chat exploded with protests. But he didn’t care.
“I’ll be back tomorrow at 8 PM. See you then.”.
And he ended the stream.
Just like that.
Leaving the entire audience starving for more.
