Chapter 34: Chapter 34
The room was silent save for the hum of the machinery surrounding the arena. Naruto stood in the center, his sharp eyes locking onto the figures above. His senses were on high alert, taking in the presence of the powerful individuals standing against him.
Above him, the imposing figure of Krizalid loomed, his white hair catching the harsh light of the room. With a cruel smirk, he addressed Naruto, his tone dripping with arrogance.
"Welcome to our base, Uzumaki Naruto. We've been looking forward to seeing how you operate, so it's a pleasant surprise you've delivered yourself to us." He spread his arms, gesturing toward the facility as if he were a host showing off his prized estate. "We can't wait to dissect your abilities and use your friends to create better fighters. Now, let the testing phase begin."
Krizalid was no ordinary executive of NEST. He was a genetic marvel, a hybrid of DNA from Kyo Kusanagi, Terry Bogard, and Akuma, created to be the ultimate warrior. Clad in his specialized combat suit, he could analyze and integrate the fighting data of his opponents, adapting his abilities in real time. He was the orchestrator of the chaos within the base, and every clone moved at his command.
Behind him stood two figures, equally menacing in their own right.
K', a man with dark skin, white hair, and a black leather outfit, exuded raw power. His cold demeanor was accentuated by his ever-present sunglasses, masking the pain of his tragic past. Once a normal child, his life was shattered when NEST abducted him and his sister. Stripped of his memories and infused with Kyo Kusanagi's DNA, he was granted the ability to wield Pyrokinesis, a skill that made him a devastating force on the battlefield.
To push him even further, NEST had injected Akuma's DNA into K', enhancing his energy reserves and granting him access to a more destructive form of Ki. This augmentation turned him into one of NEST's deadliest operatives.
Despite his power, K' was a man plagued by anger and frustration, often lashing out at those around him. He viewed Kyo Kusanagi as a rival and carried an unrelenting need to prove himself superior.
Beside K' stood Maxima, a towering Canadian cyborg whose mechanical modifications made him a juggernaut of strength and resilience. Once a soldier with a normal life, Maxima's world crumbled when his close friend Rocky was killed in an incident involving NEST.
Driven by vengeance, Maxima turned to cybernetic augmentation, unknowingly placing himself under NEST's control. Equipped with advanced weaponry, including a hand cannon, a powerful chest cannon, and cyberpathic abilities, he was a walking arsenal. His enhancements were powered by the Maxima Heart, a miniaturized nuclear reactor that granted him extraordinary endurance and strength.
Maxima's honorable nature and calm demeanor made him a stark contrast to K'. He treated K' like a younger brother, constantly smoothing over his partner's rough edges and offering apologies for his behavior. Yet, his loyalty to NEST was built on false memories, leaving him a tragic pawn in their schemes.
Naruto's lips curled into a smirk as he studied his opponents. "You talk a big game," he said, his voice steady and confident. "But I've dealt with monsters before. You're no different."
Krizalid's smirk widened. "We'll see, Uzumaki. Show us the power that's earned you the title of a hero. Let's see if it's enough to survive against the future of warfare."
Krizalid watched intently from his perch, his cold, calculating gaze fixed on the chaos unfolding below. His neural interface was feeding him streams of data on Naruto's movements, chakra output, and even the emotional undercurrents of his taunts. Every punch, dodge, and technique was being cataloged, analyzed, and integrated into his system.
"Take him down," he commanded once more, his voice devoid of emotion. "Don't hold back—damage is irrelevant. We'll learn from his corpse if necessary."
Below, the room became a fiery battlefield as K', Terry, Rugal, Akuma, and Maxima encircled Naruto. Their combined presence made the air thick with tension, each fighter exuding their distinct killing intent.
K' was the first to break the silence, his lips twisting into a sneer as he ignited his hand with crimson flames. "Hey, blonde bitch, why don't you pop out some clones already before we tear you a new one?"
Naruto cocked his head to the side, his calm demeanor an intentional insult. "Heh, that's funny. You're too pathetic to earn that kind of effort. Go on, prove me wrong—if you even can."
The words struck a nerve. K's flame flared higher, his knuckles cracking as he clenched his fists. "You're gonna regret that, you little shit."
With a sharp motion, K launched a flaming wheel toward Naruto, the attack ripping through the air with deadly precision.
Terry roared, his Burning Knuckle following in its wake, his fist engulfed in fiery Ki. At the same time, Rugal unleashed a towering Genocide Cutter, the deadly crescent of energy aimed to bisect anything in its path. Finally, Akuma surged forward, his robotic movements eerily precise as he prepared to strike.
Naruto didn't wait for the attacks to close in. His body blurred, moving with blinding speed toward Akuma. The clone's strike came down hard, but Naruto met it with a fluid counter, grabbing Akuma's arm mid-strike and using the clone's momentum to hurl him into the path of Terry's burning knuckle.
Boom!
The collision sent Akuma flying, his robotic form absorbing the blow but destabilizing as sparks erupted from his chest. Without missing a beat, Naruto formed a single-hand seal, gathering wind chakra into his lungs before exhaling a powerful Vacuum Bullet.
The compressed air shot forward with incredible force, forcing Terry to abandon his charge and leap to the side. Meanwhile, Rugal's Genocide Cutter struck the deflected Akuma clone, sending it careening into the wall with a resounding crash.
Naruto's strategy was clear: divide and conquer. The clones might be modeled after powerful fighters, but they lacked the fluid adaptability of true warriors. They were predictable, bound by their programming, and that was their greatest weakness.
But the real threats weren't the clones—it was the operatives.
Maxima analyzed Naruto's movements with machine-like precision, his cybernetic systems processing the patterns. "He's fast," Maxima murmured, his voice even. "But he's not invincible. His chakra reserves will deplete eventually."
K', still smoldering with rage, adjusted his stance, preparing to unleash a more focused assault. "Then let's wear him down."
The room was a chaotic maelstrom of power and destruction. Dust and debris hung in the air, illuminated by the violent flashes of energy and Ki. Krizalid observed from his elevated position, his smirk widening as he processed the data flooding into his system. Naruto Uzumaki was indeed an exceptional specimen, but even he had limits—and Krizalid intended to see just how far those limits could stretch.
The Vacuum bullet was huge and it hit Akuma while Terry managed used Power geyser, a punch to the ground that unleashed a pillar of nature Ki.
Terry fighting style allowed his Ki to interact with nature. It was the reason, why he was so powerful and his attacks were so destructive.
Rugal used dark barrier to block the attack for K and Maxima while Akuma smashed into the wall without a scratch and launched himself towards Naruto again.
He unleashed a Hadoken while Naruto unleashed another wind jutsu, wind wolves. Smashing his palm against the ground, several wind wolves appeared as the locked on to their targets.
Running like the wind, they crashed into each of the fights causing the cutting damage as they were made from wind sharp enough to cut any metal.
It gave the chance to use his wind armor technique and he applied right in time as Rugal appeared close to him with a punch charged with dark energy. Naruto ducked as he punched Rugal in the chin sending him into the air but couldn't continue as K came at him with sliding tackle.
Naruto made a small rasengan to handle him when Terry launched himself at him with blazing rush and Akuma also came at him with flying kick from above.
He was surrounded from all sides with powerful attacks so Naruto controlled his chakra and made a barrier that expanded outwards instantly.
It wasn't strong enough to handle all of the attacks especially since Rugal flipped and axe kicked towards the barrier.
Naruto went through signs with his other hand and unleashed a giant hurricane that sent all of them away from him but once again they launched attacks without rest.
Akuma unleashed a charged beam while Rugal used a charged genocide cutter and Terry used a consecutive Power Geyser that sent tremors across the base.
The ground was shaking from the impacts of his fist and K focused on his target and the area around it exploded in consecutive explosions.
Naruto was on all fours surrounded by the storm as he could sense the danger of these threats. They could all survive his attacks, alone they weren't much but combined they were too much for him.
He had almost gotten damaged.
'Oh damn, this is getting too hot.' Naruto thought as he locked onto Rugal as he was also providing defense and his attacks weren't weak either. All three clones were too powerful, it was good that they were weaker than the originals or even the sage mode wouldn't be enough.
Pushing against the ground covered in his wind armor, Naruto launched himself at Rugal and went through the hurricane that moved towards Akuma and Terry to hold them off.
Naruto went through the genocide cutter with the his enhanced body covered by the armor and crashed into Rugal who kicked him from above but he dodged it and caught Rugal's face in his hand as crashed his head into the wall.
Smashing his head into the metallic wall with insane speed caused it to shake while the clone attacked him with an energy explosion while K appeared beside him with some kind of speed technique and punched him in the side.
Naruto unleashed a rasengan at Rugal regardless of the energy explosion, the attack hit Rugal chest but the man managed to put up the dark barrier that reflected the attack back.
K's fist landed on his side and an explosion took place while the rasengan flew at him. Naruto blocked the fist with his right arm while backhanding the rasengan towards Akuma who had come towards him.
Following that he pulled K and kicked him towards Rugal. Using him as a launching pad, Naruto kicked Terry who was kicking him from above.
Both of them collided but he was stronger, though that didn't matter since Akuma hit him with the powerful uppercut while Rugal kept him in place with a large energy blast.
Akuma ended up hitting him in the abdomen and they crashed into the ceiling, Naruto caught the fist while enduring the pain of fractures and smashed Akuma into the ceiling while kicking him in the face using chakra as boosters for his kick. It sent tremors across the base.
Akuma ended up hitting him with a single hand Hadoken in the balls.
'Fuck!' Naruto almost screamed out loud as he was hit in such a weak spot. The bastard clone had been lucky to get a hit when Naruto's attention was on the attackers below.
The pain gave them the chance to hit with blazing knuckle, explosion and genocide cutter. Naruto was forced to endure as the attacks hit him but managed to use a rasengan on Akuma who fell from the ceiling with a concussion.
The rasengan hit him in the face and was about to tear away his head when Naruto quickly moved it to the side and blocked the laser that came at him.
He increased the intensity of the rasengan and even then he was still sent crashing into the opposite wall as the laser broke through his rasengan.
Maxima had read all his movements and detected his chance to give him maximum damage. He used his strongest laser that could easily tear through the base.
It was a testament of Naruto's power that he even survived it when none of the others present could.
Naruto landed on his feat while coughing up blood as his bones had broken, his lungs were busted and he was burned terribly from the impact of the beam.
The attack was stronger than his attack and he didn't think they were nice enough to let him use Rasenshuriken.
