Chapter 59 - The Slum Boy’s Desperate Counterattack (4)
The attack came so suddenly that Chen Han felt his heart nearly leap out of his chest. His well-trained instincts in piloting mechas kicked in immediately, and he prepared to counterattack!
His hand was already on the mecha’s control panel, his mental energy quickly extending into the system to achieve a seamless fusion between man and machine. However, just as his consciousness made contact, the control panel malfunctioned!
An alarm blared from within the mecha.
[Warning! Warning! You have been identified as an intruder. Initiating forced ejection protocol!]
Chen Han: “?!”
The cockpit of the serpent-shaped mecha suddenly sprang open, forcibly ejecting Chen Han!
Chen Han twisted his body midair, narrowly dodging Si Yisi’s dagger attack. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of the malfunctioning mecha; only to watch it scurry away in a flash!
In the blink of an eye, the mecha darted into a corner, then cautiously peeked its head out toward Chen Han, looking every bit like an A.I. that had suddenly gained sentience and chosen to run for its life!
Damn it!
It bailed on me at the worst possible moment!
Chen Han cursed internally.
Si Yisi, however, couldn’t care less about Chen Han’s frustrations. The moment the mecha threw Chen Han out, he finally recognized it.
That sneaky, cowardly demeanor… who else could it be but Ah Tu?
But there was no time to deal with his troublemaking pet right now. Si Yisi’s focus locked onto Chen Han. Dressed in a sleek black combat suit, his exposed muscles were well-defined, and his sharp, eagle-like gaze radiated an icy ruthlessness.
This was a professionally trained opponent.
Compared to Chen Han, Si Yisi’s thin frame looked as insignificant as an ant trying to shake a tree. But he gripped his dagger tightly, pushed off with his foot, and shot forward!
Ah Tu shrank into the corner, occasionally peeking out. He wasn’t used to his current mecha body at all; walking on two legs felt incredibly awkward!
Should I go help Master? Hiss…?
Before Ah Tu could even put his rescue plan into action, he watched in disbelief as Si Yisi stabbed his dagger straight into Chen Han’s arm as if piercing through tofu!
And that wasn’t all, just as Chen Han furrowed his brows in pain, Si Yisi seized the brief moment of hesitation, grabbed his injured arm, yanked, and lifted.
With a loud thud, Chen Han was flipped over and slammed into the ground, sending up a cloud of dust!
And the way he landed… his head was completely buried in the dirt, like a carrot planted straight into the ground!
A narrow pit had formed where Chen Han had been “planted,” but Ah Tu only took one look before quickly pulling his head back. That looked painful!
“Hiss…”
Ah Tu, now in his humanoid mecha body, shuffled over to Si Yisi in tiny, nervous steps. His once-mighty frame now resembling a timid, frightened little wife.
“Ah Tu.”
“Hiss.”
Si Yisi’s gaze fell on the serpent-shaped mecha. It was a beautiful piece of machinery; the dark green metallic shell shimmered with a faint glow, coated with what looked like a venomous sheen.
Yet, for some reason, he found himself looking at the mecha’s head and saying, “Ah Tu, you’re still as bald as ever.”
Ah Tu: “Hiss!!” Who’s bald?! It’s definitely not me, the mighty and handsome dragon!

Ignoring Ah Tu’s vocal protests, Si Yisi reached into the pit and yanked out the “carrot” that was Chen Han.
Even though interstellar humans had longer lifespans, they still needed to breathe to survive.
Si Yisi had timed it perfectly—by the time he pulled Chen Han out, the man’s eyes were tightly shut, his face pale with a bluish tint, looking like he was on the verge of suffocating to death.
Which made it all the more convenient for Si Yisi to tie him up and drag him back.
As they prepared to leave, Si Yisi gave Ah Tu a scrutinizing glance. “Can you shrink down a bit? You’re too big, and it’ll make us an easy target.”
Ah Tu, looking utterly clueless, started pressing random buttons on the mecha control panel one by one.
Si Yisi tried to stop him, but it was already too late!
That night, Si Yisi watched as the mecha suddenly started tap-dancing in place, while the light cannons, grenades, and bombs it unleashed engulfed the nearby slums!
Ah Tu’s actions ensured that the slum residents had a completely sleepless night. The deafening explosions rattled their homes, shaking loose dust; and who knew what else, from the ceilings. The brilliant white flashes nearly illuminated the entire darkened slums!
Si Yisi, exasperated, forced his way through the barrage of bullets and explosions to put an end to the chaos. In the end, Ah Tu’s serpent-shaped mecha body somehow froze in the form of a mechanical rabbit!
Si Yisi: “…”
He pinched Ah Tu’s long ears, ignoring the way its legs flailed in protest. With his other hand, he dragged the half-dead Chen Han away.
Si Yisi was unaware that, hidden beneath the rubble of a collapsed building nearby, a small-time journalist had secretly captured a picture of him emerging from the heat and gunfire.
That picture would later become a priceless treasure, fiercely contested in auctions, and studied as a pivotal moment in Q’s transformation to Si’an.

Just as Chen Han was on the verge of suffocation, he used a special encryption method to transmit a mission failure report to Tru. The report was vague, but it highlighted one crucial detail; the sheer magnitude of that terrifying mental power!
Tru stared intently at the words ‘immense mental power’ displayed on his neural-net screen, his conviction strengthening.
The imperial family of the Kaz Empire had always possessed far superior mental strength compared to ordinary people. To Tru, this became yet another piece of evidence proving that the slum boy was the true imperial heir. And that he, Tru, was nothing more than an imposter!
Tru bit his fingernails in a frenzy, gnawing so hard that his hands were soon covered in blood. How could this happen? How the hell could this mission fail?!
His rage was evident to anyone watching. The Empress of the Kaz Empire noticed her youngest son’s unusual state and walked over to pull his hand away. “Tru, what are you doing? Are you torturing yourself?”
The Empress was elegant and beautiful, but there wasn’t a single trace of resemblance between her and Tru. The Emperor of the Kaz Empire bore no resemblance to Tru either. Combined with Tru’s mere B-rank mental power, this only deepened his belief in the investigation’s conclusion; that he wasn’t the real imperial prince.
Tru suppressed the dark clouds shrouding his expression and slowly, with a hint of mockery in his voice, asked the Empress, “Mother, if someone claimed that I wasn’t the prince of the Kaz Empire, what would you do?”
Empress Freya froze for a moment before smiling gently, though a trace of worry flickered in her eyes. “Tru, you don’t need to concern yourself with baseless rumors. If someone dares to slander you with such lies, you can use the power of the imperial family to seek justice.”
“I understand,” Tru replied.
After the Empress left, he overturned every piece of furniture in the room. The glass ornaments he loved the most shattered into a million pieces.
It your own words…
Tru’s cold gaze fixated on the servants cleaning up the mess, making them tremble under his scrutiny. A deep and unshakable gloom clouded his face.
It was your words that said I could use the power of the imperial family to seek justice. Then naturally, I’ll make full use of it… Heh.
His gaze swept over the investigation report his subordinates had sent him on Q.
So, you plan to use the compatibility test to repay your debts?
He didn’t know who had helped Q escape last time, but this time; there would be no luck to save him.
Some secrets that cannot see the light of day… should stay buried underground forever, left to rot.

“Achoo…”
Si Yisi sneezed quietly.
After returning home and calming Lisa down, who had already woken up, he carefully tended to the small wounds on his body. Such minor injuries would heal quickly in the cleaner environments outside, but in the slums, if not treated immediately, they could lead to bacterial infections and viral growth.
Even a tiny cut could be fatal there, so Si Yisi dared not be careless.
After roughly bandaging himself with torn strips of cloth, he turned his probing gaze toward Ah Tu.
That look was… too piercing. Ah Tu couldn’t help but shudder.
Si Yisi grabbed the mechanical rabbit’s long ears and casually traced his dagger along its metal body. “Don’t move. It won’t hurt at all. I’m just figuring out where to cut for maximum efficiency.”
Ah Tu trembled like a leaf in the wind.
Nowhere would be painless!!!
