Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Welcome
Welcome to my Trails fanfic!
Webnovel has like zero fanfics for this game series, so I'm hoping to shed light onto readers here.
With that said, I'm combining it with the popular Gamer trope. I did not do this for my last two fanfics but I will for this one.
Trails has its own stats system so it will be easy to use.
But without further ado, please enjoy!
More power stones given, I'll try to write more chapters!
I've been working on setting this up this last month. Once chapters for these have stabilized, I will resume my Pokemon fanfic together with this one.

Tokyo, Japan. One of the largest megacities on Earth.
It was the year 2022.
Inside a dark room of a multistory apartment. A lone figure could be seen sitting in a black padded gaming chair with a headset on, slouched back in his seat. He appeared relax but excitement and yet a hint of dreariness could be seen in his eyes.
In front of him were three large monitors. The middle one was squared while the monitor on each end was curved, and they were all connected. It acted as one big screen. An ideal gaming setup for the current generation. Several modern consoles could be seen off to the side, all hooked up and raring to go.
One such console towered over the others, and was almost a miniature pc, slick white in color. It's buttons could be seen glowing blue, which indicated it was currently turned on. All the cables hooking up to this figure's current setup were hidden and out of sight.
As for the figure himself, he could be seen in his 20s, with black hair that could be seen as scruffy and pealing in several directions. Yet despite being in Japan, he appeared to be American. He and his family used to live in America before he finished college. He was able to land a well paid job in the country he wanted to work in. As a result, his family moved with him, as they did not have many attachments to America.
One key defining features for this figure was his eyes. Unlike a person with black or brown irises, this man had eyes with a golden hue. He had gone to quite a few optometrists, but they couldn't find the cause as to why his eyes were golden, nor could they trace his family tree to others who may have possessed such eyes. Such a mutation to occur is a small chance by any means, but it happened to him.
This room was his, and rightfully owned. In fact this whole apartment floor was rented out to this figure's name due to his earnings. And currently, his screen currently could be seen rolling credits, likely due to the fact he had just beaten the game.
The credits were bright and colorful, and several images appeared on each window transition, which revealed different characters that were shown throughout the game in different poses. It acted as if it came right out if a collage.
This figure let out a sigh, but a victorious one for having beaten this game.
"Over one hundred and fifty hours game hours later, this marks the end for the first half of the story...This entry definitely tied a lot of loose ends together.", The figure said, putting on a smile.
As these credits continued rolling, which displayed the names of who worked on it in Japanese, a knock from his door, which drew his attention. As it was playing soft music into his headset, this figure was able to hear the knock, causing him to take it off. A cheerful voice soon reached his ears.
"Big brother Naoto, dinner's almost ready. Did you manage to beat your game?", cheerful voice said, belonging to that of girl.
"Yeah. I'll be there in a few minutes. Apparently there's a teaser at the end which will showcase their new engine. Interested in watching it, Natsuki?"
"Can I!?", The cheerful voice responded happily.
"Haha, come on in.", I answered with a laugh.
I saw the door turn, only to have the light from the hallway shine in, causing me to shield my eyes for a bit, since the room was rather dark.
"Geez, it's too dark in here as usual, you even have the air running too...", The girl complained, and started to rub her hands a bit. Upon a closer look, she had long bright black hair that flew down quite loosely, letting some strands go over her shoulders. She also had black eyes and was wearing a cute pair of red frame glasses.
As for her clothes, she was wearing a baggy dark gray sweatshirt which sleeves covered half of her hands. She wore a simple pink t-shirt and some jeans underneath.
I too was wearing a simple black t-shirt with no brand logo, and blue jeans as well. This girl in front of my was my younger sister by a couple years, Natsuki. As for me, I was her brother, Naoto.
Seeing my sister wear such a casual setup, I let out another chuckle.
"You aren't going to get a boyfriend looking like that, Natsuki. You have no charm like this.", I retorted.
Hearing me say that, Natsuki puffed her cheeks and pouted.
"Hmph, I don't need those sleaze bags. The last few mixers were total busts. I'm starting to think I have the wrong group of friends at school. Besides...",
"Besides...?", I asked back.
I saw Natsuki approach behind my gaming chair, only to wrap her arms around my shoulders for a hug.
"I've got you, big brother. You are much more dependable than those asshats.", Natsuki replied revealing a big grin.
The moment I heard that, I spun my chair around, proceeding to look at Natsuki right in the eyes, which started her. I then raised my spare hand that wasn't currently holding onto my controller, and did a quick flick of my finger. Natsuki felt a fast sting strike her forehead.
"How many times do I have to remind you to not curse like that? I bet those boys run away from you. Such an unruly sister.", I retorted again.
"Boo, you're no fun--?", Natsuki tried respond back, only to get distracted by my monitors. It seemed the credits have now finished rolling, only to transition into a white screen..
"Look, big brother, it looks like its starting."
"Yeah, quiet now.", I answered back to Natsuki.
Once the screen finished its next transition, letters slowly started to appear.
"The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki, is finished for the present...",Natsuki uttered softly, seeing the text appear on screen.
It then transitioned once more into another to white screen.
"To be continued in the near future...Thank you for playing.", Natsuki said again, excitement appearing in her eyes.
This screen lasted for a couple moments before it began to fade away.
What replaced this white was a vast and open grassy field. The grass could be seen fluttering in the soft wind that was blowing. It was very crisp, which surprised us both.
The words "The Legend of Heroes Hajimari no Kiseki" appeared over the field for a brief moment before the text vanished. The camera then moved, only to reveal a figure. Or more specifically, the figure's lap, who was currently wearing a frilly purple dress with black gloves.
If one had a close look at this figure's arms, it could be seen separated into two different joints.
This figure could be seen holding a red book of sorts, titled "Scrap Book". This figure opened it, only to reveal two pages. On these two pages were pictures taken with several different people in each one, likely who this figure got to know them during their travels.
In the bottom left corner, red text could be seen written as, "Lapis's Diary".
Smiling at these images and reminiscing for a moment, this figure closed the book. The camera then moved upward, only to reveal the rest of this figure. They appeared to be a girl with vibrant silver hair. Two white rose flowers could be seen stuck in her purple headpiece that belonged to her purple dress. She even had a pink bow on over her chest.
This girl then lifted her head up, and slowly opened her eyes. Something unusual appeared, and that was the fact that her eyes were heterochromatic. Her left eye was sky blue while her right eye was yellow, but she did not seem bothered by that. A smile appeared on her facing, enjoying the nice breeze rolling in the field she was sitting in.
This moment of silence lasted for a moment before another energetic voice reached out to her, which also appeared belonging to a girl. She had to yell, as this one could be seen with two other figures quite a ways away. The other two appeared to be two guys.
"La-chan, ya better hurry up or we're gonna leave ya behind~!", The other girl yelled out to the first one. It seemed this girl was indeed the name written on the book just now. She was called Lapis.
Hearing this, Lapis smiled once more and yelled out to the second girl.
"Yeah, I'm coming!", Lapis responded happily.
Lapis then got up, putting away her book. Once she stood up, it actually appeared she wasn't as tall as the other three who were in the distance. The other girl waved at Lapis, and Lapis joined up with them.
After that, the screen paneled upward, moving away into the skies above. The sunlight shone brightly for a moment. The screen then faded into black, ending the scene.
The whole motion of this scene was smooth as butter and very vibrant. Excitement appeared in mine and Natsuki's eyes.
"That was really smooth, it's a shame only this much was shown. It ended so quickly."
"I know right? I have yet to start Reverie myself but it felt like I was watching an anime! I can't wait to start it myself."
"Well now that I'm done, I can lend you my copy. I already have the next entry installed so you're free to start it."
"Really!?", Natsuki replied in anticipation.
However, at this time, we heard an angry voice reach our ears.
"Natsuki, if you're done notifying Naoto then get your ass back here and help set the table!", An angry middle aged voice said, coming from our mother.
"Oof...Don't want to make mom angry. Since you're done now you'll come in a couple right?", Natsuki asked.
"Yeah, just need to create my clear data save and I'll be on over.", I replied, causing Natsuki to smile. She then walked toward the door and waved her hand at me before vanishing into the hallway.
I then turned toward my screen once more, only to see it turn black. In the next moment, the Trails logo appeared on the bottom right. It was red in text.
Seeing this drew my attention.
"Weird, for the logo to be red, does that mean the next game is going to take a serious turn?', I wondered to myself.
Text started to appear on screen, each letter shown was also red in color.
[You have reached clear save data for beating the Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki]
[Would you like to continue?]
Seeing this appear, I became confused.
"Is it not directly prompting me to save my file?", I asked.
I became a bit hesitant seeing this text appear, but knowing that I beat the game, I had to create my clear data file, especially if I wanted to use carryover bonuses if I wanted to try out in my next run of the game.
So I selected Yes.
That was the last thing I remember before my consciousness faded and my vision went black.
[Player Naoto has been invited by the Gamer System]
