A rare magical miracle in the world

Chapter 398: The Imperial Mausoleum's Underground Palace (Vote for Monthly Ticket)

"Republican era, huh,"

Bailuo said, "Zombies really do fit the Republican era best."

"Oh, and Maoshan Taoists. Speaking of which, there might be tomb robbers, like those from The Nine Gates or Touching-Gold Colonels."

The two arrived at the shore of the Eastern Sea, which was the designated waiting area specified by the Corpse Bride.

That world was a primary material plane, and with the might of Bailuo and the others, their mere arrival would bring immense destruction to that world.

Therefore, they needed to travel there in a special way, rather than going in person.

"Mr. Yatun."

The Corpse Bride exemplified the traditional Eastern female beauty, carrying the soft grace of Jiangnan water towns.

Clad in a flowing classical dress with water sleeves, she moved with such grace that her colourful gauze garments fluttered in the wind, emitting a soft, beautiful radiance. They were treasures from dimensions she had once conquered, each of immeasurable value.

"Have they not arrived yet?"

"The two empresses were arranged by that guy," the Corpse Bride said with a hint of discontent, "You are the only one I am hosting."

"Oh, is that so."

Bailuo thought it made sense since Fengdu was halfway Ying Muyao's subordinate, so naturally, it was his responsibility to greet them: "The Female Sword Emperor chose that side too, why?"

"Well..."

The Corpse Bride hesitated, her eyes falling on Miya standing beside Bailuo. After a brief sensing, she immediately realized that the young girl was also a Miracle Entity.

"Who is this?"

"My younger sister."

Bailuo patted Miya's head. Despite appearing like a girl of fifteen or sixteen, she was in reality just a ten-year-old little girl.

"Greetings, Your Highness of the East Sea,"

Miya curtsied and said, "I am meeting you for the first time. I am the Prophet of the Yatun Duchy."

The Prophet!

The Corpse Bride hadn't anticipated Miya to hold such a status, and she promptly responded with her own courtesy: "My apologies, I shall immediately prepare a procession for Your Highness as well."

When the Master of Miracles travels, it is like the arrival of an emperor.

As the host, the Corpse Bride had invited Bailuo, and it was a must to uphold proper etiquette in welcoming her guests, otherwise disrespecting Bailuo's status could affect their relationship, a disadvantageous outcome.

"Please, both of you, board the sedan."

The Corpse Bride had arranged for the Sleeping Mausoleum Imperial Carriage to transport Bailuo and Miya, a luxuriously decorated grand vehicle.

Pulling the carriage were not humans, but six creatures resembling a combination of dogs, lions, and dragons.

Scattering golden jade fragments like tiny maple leaves all around them, they bore fur that transitioned from gold to deep red, crowned with black dragon-like horns. Their fluffy legs were wrapped in flames resembling lotuses, and with each step, they left a red lotus imprint on the ground.

The Corpse Bride called them 'Bao,' and these six, being Heroic Level Golden-haired Bao, combined had a combat power that could make any Master-level powerhouse retreat.

But here, they merely served as divine beasts, pulling the carriage for Bailuo and Miya.

"Once you two arrive there, please be sure not to leave this carriage."

The Sleeping Mausoleum Imperial Carriage contained the Corpse Bride's Miracle Power, which had the effect of creating barriers and isolation. As long as they stayed onboard, they wouldn't trigger the retaliatory will of that material plane.

"Oh?"

Bailuo patted the carriage, surprised by its functionality, "What about you, then? What will you do?"

"I have subjects there, and I can attach my consciousness to them."

As the Master of Miracles arrived, Bailuo knew of such a method and indicated his understanding.

"Additionally, please rest assured, Duke Yatun," the Corpse Bride said, "Their capabilities are exceptional, and they are among the best even within the Heroic Level."

The carriage was the ticket for Bailuo and Miya to travel to the material plane. If it were destroyed, they would have to return immediately to the Miracle World.

Otherwise, with their power, even if they completely concealed their energy, the life hierarchy of the Master of Miracles alone would be enough to destabilize the plane's rules, leading to a catastrophic scene.

Therefore, it was essential for the Corpse Bride to ensure security.

If outsiders were to touch Bailuo and Miya, the Corpse Bride would not only lose face but also possibly offend them.

Of course, Bailuo was quite interested; he didn't mind being attacked, in fact, he was very much looking forward to it.

"Please lift the curtain."

Pulled by six golden-haired zombie kings, the carriage arrived at a spacious location akin to an underground imperial mausoleum and stopped on the plaza in front of the great hall.

"Your Highnesses, we have been waiting here for a long time," they said.

In front of the carriage, two black-haired women kneeled on one knee, one clad in alternating red and white robes with curved hems, and the other in blue and white, both displaying classic elegance.

And judging by their aura, they were both King-level powerhouses, which surprised Bailuo.

The Corpse Bride was not an Emperor Candidate, and she had just entered the Four Awakenings stage; her strongest followers were only at the Legend level, and she had no Epic powerhouses. Therefore, it was unlikely that she could afford to assign two Legendary powerhouses to protect Bailuo and Miya specifically.

If that were the case, the cost would be enormous since the Corpse Bride needed protection herself, and people had to be sent to the Empress of the East and the Female Sword Emperor as well.

Two Legends here and none sent there would seem like an insult to the two empresses.

But only Legendary powerhouses could clash with Dimensional Sovereigns at the Legendary Level.

It must be said that although Dimensional Creatures have a low upper limit, peaking at the pinnacle of Legend level, they compensate with their vast numbers.

A typical Third Awakening Master of Miracles might have up to five Legendary powerhouses under their command after centuries of accumulation, and people like the Immortal Hawk Duke had a total of only three Legends.

Such a force was equivalent to the combat power of a mere three Dimensional Sovereigns.

No wonder some Kings were reluctant to go to war with dimensions: they simply didn't have many followers, and each loss would cause years of distress.

"Young lady, Fusang (Yue Gui), greets the two Supreme Lords," she said.

In the Miracle World, Supreme Lord is a title of respect for both the Master of Miracles and Miracle Creatures. This term originated from Dimensional Creatures but is aptly used by them as well.

"Please use these two prepared bodies."

Under the direction of Fusang and Yue Gui, creatures resembling terracotta soldiers brought up two coffins; upon opening them, a young man and a girl were lying inside.

The man had a handsome appearance and looked to be in his twenties, while the girl was a teenager, no older than fifteen.

They lay flat in the coffins, with their hands folded in front of them, but without any breath of life, they were clearly two corpses.

"Corpses, huh?"

"Please do not take offense, Supreme Lords," said Fusang, "but this is the nature of Her Majesty's Miracle Power."

"Hmm, it's fine."

When in Rome, they'd experience life anew. After all, both Bailuo and Miya had never tried becoming 'zombies.'

Perhaps Miya had foreseen this, but it was still different from first-hand experience, so it was rather interesting. Your adventure continues at My Virtual Library Empire

"The body is not as stiff as I had imagined."

Bailuo had not descended into the corpse per se but was rather like someone holding a game controller, manipulating a character on a computer screen. The only difference was that it was possible to feel other sensations as well, making it all the more real.
