A rare magical miracle in the world
Chapter 467: I Choose Her (Request for Monthly Tickets)
Having accepted Alaya, Bird naturally offered her a way out of Bailuo's control.
"I refuse such a proposition,"
Alaya's response was decisive; she did not know the veracity of the matter, but even if it were true, Alaya would not betray Bailuo.
Just as her senior sister loved Bailuo, Alaya who had been under Bailuo's care for many years also wanted to repay his kindness.
"Is that so?"
Bird wasn't surprised by Alaya's refusal, for she clearly didn't seem like an ambitious person: "It seems that in your heart, you already have someone you love."
"So, the person who became the Saint Heir in the Trinity of Meledi, it's him you've chosen,"
The Saint Heir is not the least within the Trinity. Essentially speaking, there's no absolute hierarchy among them.
"What about the Holy Father and the Holy Spirit, then?"
"The Holy Spirit represents the symbol of power, the incarnation of Meledi's manifest strength in the world," Bird explained: "That is, the 'Trinity', the Supreme Tier Miracle, is transformed into a Miracle Creature; that is the embodiment of the Holy Spirit."
To put it simply, it was to allow Alaya herself to become the 'Trinity' miracle, turning the Supreme Tier Miracle from an unknown category into a Miracle Creature.
"As for the Holy Father, it represents the concept of Meledi."
"The Trinity of Meledi is just a common understanding of it among people," Bird said: "The faith in Meledi was first founded by my friend Kaya Melite, who defined 'Meledi' and created it."
So the Meledi in the Trinity of Meledi is more like a philosophy, and its name is also named after the surname of Bird's friend.
"The classification of sects is extremely complex, but there are generally three main categories."
"Those who only worship the philosophy of Meledi," Bird said: "They believe that Meledi is not a personified god, but the ultimate ideal of scientists, the destiny that everyone is striving to reach."
"And some people think that Meledi itself is elusive; rather than worshipping it, it's better to worship a true great person, which is Kaya Melite."
It's like the status of Jesus in Christianity, God is unfathomable, but Kaya truly existed; he dispelled darkness, brought the Light of Hope to scientists, and pioneered an era.
"Besides, there are also those who believe in Anye."
"Ann Iseni Samiye."
Bird said: "The three major sects have different explanations about what Meledi really is. The prevalent ones include Kaya becoming a god, becoming Meledi, Anye becoming Meledi, and the last one where Kaya and Anye together transformed into Meledi, completing the Trinity."
Therefore, to be precise, the concept of the Trinity only exists in the last sect, while the other two deny the concept of Trinity.
"Anye is..."
"You can understand her as the Holy Mother, also as the embodiment of the most powerful force in the human world," Bird indicated: "Sazzag is very powerful, but he is unable to invade the real world because of Anye's existence."
Sazzag was defeated by a woman, and this woman was none other than Ann Iseni Samiye.
The three options that Bird mentioned corresponded directly to the three major sects.
"Great is the Redeemer, while Anye's power is merely supplemental, you will turn into a Miracle Creature, establish a covenant with him, and be under his control forever and ever,"
"To break away from the Redeemer, to regard the Redeemer as a child created by Anye, choosing this path, you will receive a miracle and become the Master of Miracles yourself,"
"Lastly, the most cruel one."
Bird said: "You will completely abandon your personality and memory, create a Trinity without a self, and then present your Redeemer with a Miracle Object lacking self-awareness."
That is to say, the third kind had nothing to do with Alaya anymore; she had completely burned out, leaving only a Miracle Object.
Transformed into a Miracle Creature, she became the Miracle Person, and obtained the Miracle Object.
These were the three choices, three paths Bird offered to Alaya, representing the possibilities and inclusiveness of the Trinity of Meledi.
"I want to become a Miracle Creature."
"Do you love him very much?"
"Love."
This love was not of a romantic nature, it was more akin to the protective and affectionate bond between an elder sister and her younger brother.
Of course, unlike typical siblings, Alaya always greatly admired Bailuo; in her eyes, Bailuo was like a hero constantly growing.
"You remind me of Ann, you are very much like her."
"Well, it's not like I can decide anyway."
Bird was merely a guide; he led Alaya here and then introduced her to the 'Trinity,' but the miracle was not given by Bird, it was Alaya's own choice.
A miracle is a miracle, and the Trinity is the Trinity; the former's essence is a miracle, merely using the Trinity as a prototype and foundation to shape its own body.
The miracle was as if crafted by Alaya's own hands, so its future would naturally be decided by Alaya as well.
"Now, listen to the voice of Meledi and then make your choice."
The reason Bird said Meledi was not a cult was because what Meledi was all about, was entirely for Alaya to judge.
If Alaya believed Meledi to be the Redeemer, then her task was to make Bailuo the Supreme Lord of the world; on the contrary, she would inherit the power of Anye and become the Supreme Lord herself.
If she held a loftier belief, thinking Meledi to be an ethereal concept, Alaya could also give up her life and pass this power on to Bailuo.
So, it wasn't that God decided for you, but you decided for God.
To Meledi itself, it was meaningless, it was a non-existent entity, it wouldn't interfere with the existing world, nor would it descend as Sazzag did.
"Meledi itself is meaningless; it does not exist," Bird said.
"The Saint Heir of Meledi represents the king of the human world; the Holy Spirit represents the grandeur of the Saint Heir," Bird continued, "Since you intend to become a Miracle Creature, go ahead and make a choice of form."
Meledi naturally had no specific form, but the Holy Spirit was a Miracle Creature, she could choose.
"Form?"
"The embodiment of your conception of the preacher, the guide, the redeemer, the protector, the judge," Bird said, "Anything is possible."
Since the Miracle Creature was to be a living being, it definitely needed to have a form, but what it would be, could be decided by Alaya herself.
"I always thought the world of the Electronic Frontier was scientific, all about machinery, energy, and such," Alaya felt rather speechless, "How come now, it seems to be in the name of the Father?"
If science is narrowly defined, it has limits, and at its end lies theology; but if science is broadly defined as infinite and eternally beyond reach, then how different is it from the divine in theology?
"Go forth, child."
Bird didn't elaborate because the science he represented and Meledi belonged to an entirely different category; he was a great person who transcended the Trinity of Meledi.
"I choose..."
Alaya sifted through images in her mind, and in the end, she chose a figure radiating pure white light, "Her."
