A Regressed Villain: Heroines, Villainesses and Me?

Chapter 81: Chapter 83- Dr.Wen (2)

"Oh, Dr. Wen, that is Marquess Croceaus…" One of the staff members, realizing that the doctor might not recognize the man who had just given orders, leaned in closer and whispered the information into his ear.

'!'

'Croceaus?' Dr. Wen's eyes widened as he turned his gaze toward the man in front of him, utterly shocked to see this particular individual there. He found himself frozen, only observing as patients in wheelchairs began to exit the premises one by one.

"H-hey, what is the meaning of this?" Dr. Wen exclaimed as he noticed several patients being taken out of their rooms. He reached out and grabbed the arm of one staff member, stopping him in his tracks and refusing to let him remove a patient who still desperately needed care.

It was becoming increasingly apparent to him that these people were quite serious about transferring patients—patients who, without a doubt, required ongoing treatment. What kind of outrageous order was this?

"Have you—" Dr. Wen began, turning to address Avendial directly to inquire about the reasoning behind such an order. However, his question was interrupted by the distant sound of multiple ambulances arriving and the sight of dozens of staff members dressed in the uniforms of the well-known hospital from City B, which belonged to the Croceaus Group.

Each city had its strengths, with City A being renowned for its industrial progress and City B celebrated for its medical expertise, primarily due to the pharmaceutical presence under the Croceaus Group.

"Move the patients into the ambulances immediately!" one of the senior doctors barked, urgency in his tone. "Quickly, they require urgent changes in treatment. Collect the medical records from this hospital."

As the staff members streamed in from outside, each demonstrating a high level of professionalism, they began executing their orders. The senior doctor led the charge toward Marquess Croceaus, but unlike others who exchanged pleasantries with him, the staff focused intensely on fulfilling their senior's directives.

They stole brief glances at the Marquess, but their attention remained firmly on carrying out their mission.

"Greetings, Marquess. I apologize for the delay; arranging the treatment procedure took longer than anticipated," the doctor stated before lifting his clipboard. He offered this explanation for the holdup, even though only a half-hour had passed since the instructions were given. Still, for the sake of formality, he included the note. Afterward, he returned to his seat next to Aecilia.

"Make sure to take the guardians of the patients with them; it will make things much easier to manage," Avendial commanded from his seat behind the doctor. The physician nodded in acknowledgment, catching sight of some patients' hesitant expressions. Sensing their trepidation, he felt compelled to clarify, "Their treatment will be free.

Provide all necessary procedures under the name of the Croceaus family."

'!?!'

"M-Marquess, how generous of you!" exclaimed one of the gathered patients.

"Thank you! Thank you so much, Marquess!" others chimed in, clearly relieved.

It was only natural that most of these individuals had been concerned about how they could afford the exorbitant hospital bills frequently associated with the renowned facilities, known for their high-tier treatments that even higher government officials sought in emergencies.

However, Aecilia, observing the scene closely, felt a prickle of suspicion. It seemed impossible for Avendial to spend such a vast sum without some ulterior motive underlying his generosity. What could his true intentions be?

'Hm, this could lay the groundwork for our actions,' Avendial calmly observed the situation where a few hours ago he had ordered the CEO of the Pharma under him to provide free healthcare to other countries, primarily targeting underdeveloped regions.

While it could cause doubt among those unfamiliar with his character, his charitable actions were sure to attract media attention and headlines.

This publicity would portray him as a generous, kind-hearted individual who not only aided accident victims but also directed patients to superior treatment options.

Others should see it as an enlightenment—a revelation Marquess Avendial had while saving someone from an accident—triggering his commitment to provide free care in a world that sorely needed it.

This clear, simple rationale would enable his PR teams and online advocates to influence public sentiment.

They would spin a narrative suggesting that, after witnessing the unfortunate realities of life, Marquess Croceaus had undergone a transformation.

Avendial would be portrayed as being on a mission to help others to the best of his ability.

After all, nothing is free in this world.

Every charity has some motives behind it, like some do free charity to increase the favorability of their religion among others, and some do it unconsciously to appear superior to others.

But he was simply using the situation which had occurred due to the kindness of Aecilia—trying to save an injured man from an accident—into something that profited him enormously; in the end, he was a businessman.

"Sir, about the patient in the ICU, it would be better to have him rest here since he just got through the accident," arriving near Avendial, the doctor informed about Leo, the patient who had just been in an accident, according to the report he had just read from the hospital and particularly was saved by Marquess Croceaus and Countess Aecilia Sertsul.

"Hm, leave him then," Avendial only nodded before turning his attention towards Aecilia, who had just cut the call before showing her phone screen to him, where a freshly received message was about the information of Dr. Etrinia.

'Huh? Doctor Wen?', looking towards the phone screen on the second line where the first line showed the name of Dr. Etrinia and the second showed the name of her father, which was written as Doctor Wen.

'What the....', Avendial had already realized which doctor was mentioned here and slowly lifted his head, focusing his line of sight where a doctor was helping the staff of the closest hospital while evacuating the other patients, helping them go through the records and the history of the patients, particularly diligent and helping others in a sincere way.

Mathew was also standing nearby while helping the patients evacuate, clearly showing his deep respect for the man who had decided to shift these people into a better hospital, though of course there was still a sensation of injustice in his mind, given how a dead body belonging to Doctor Fredi was being removed by the city hospital staff.

Due to the patient's evacuation, it appeared no one was going to ask the reason for his request to kill someone; everyone was busy, including him, since at times like this, he couldn't slack off and lead to problems for other patients. Since they were in mid-treatment and were changing hospitals, they needed the proper record of history and their previous statements.

"Sigh, where did Dr. Fredi go?" Dr. Wen couldn't help but remember that arguing young man who was not present here and had left the operating theatre accompanied by the staff members yet was not here at the time when, as a higher manager inside the hospital, he needed to keep his eyes focused on helping the patients out and having a better conversation with the other side.

"....." Prosecutors, officers, and the hospital staff were putting Freddy's corpse inside a plastic bag, looking toward the middle-aged man, who was stretching his wrist as if exhausted from doing all the work himself.

"....should we tell him?" one of the hospital staff inquired, but only got a stern look from the prosecutor and officers, who were packing the bag as if preparing to remove all the evidence. As they zipped the plastic bag.

Right now, unlike the people from the City B hospital who were helping the patients evacuate with other hospital staff, officers, and prosecutors appeared like criminals who were trying to dispose of the dead body to deal with the case.

'25?' Avendial looked at the age of Dr. Etrinia and lifted his gaze to look towards Dr. Wen as he heard him mention Dr. Fredi, causing him to form a smile as he found a way to secure Etrinia for himself. Once again, in a firm and bold tone directed towards Dr. Wen, he declared, "I killed Dr.

Fredi."
