A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 190: Blackbird · Revelation

"Wooaahhh! Impressive, Zuke! Did you figure out my location through the internet?"

Gabriel's eyes lit up. As a fallen angel addicted to online interactions, her first reaction upon seeing Shin appear was to wonder if he had located her via the internet.

After all, when Shin appeared earlier, the sudden surge of electricity from the socket and his warning to Gabriel to be mindful of it strongly suggested that his abilities were related to electricity.

And in Gabriel's mind, electricity was practically inseparable from the internet—since the network itself relied on electronic signals for connectivity.

"You really call me Zuke in real life? Can't you just keep that nickname online? It's not like you don't know my real name."

Hearing Gabriel blurt out "Zuke," Shin couldn't help but twitch the corner of his mouth.

Previously, when he chatted with Hitori Gotou, he had used the nickname "Pochi" that Ryo Yamada had given her. Unexpectedly, now he found himself being addressed by an online nickname in reality.

Although "Zuke" wasn't strictly a nickname—it was just a username—a peculiar online handle wasn't much different from a nickname.

"That's not important. What's important is that your ability is something many people would want to have."

Gabriel waved her hand dismissively, brushing past the nickname topic.

She looked enviously at the faint shadow behind Shin, her tone biting with jealousy as she spoke.

"Those annoying trolls online always spout nonsense. If I had your ability, I could teach them a lesson."

Really now, can you even call this angelic behavior?

Shin felt a bit awkward. Though neither Gabriel nor Vignette had directly disclosed their backgrounds, Shin was well aware of their true identities.

The person ranting about punishing trolls online was, in fact, the top-scoring angel in heaven.

Moreover, Shin's peripheral vision caught something in the corner of the room—a horn. In the original story, Gabriel claimed that she could destroy Earth with that horn.

"What are you looking at?"

Gabriel had been venting her frustrations about online trolls when she noticed Shin's gaze.

Following his line of sight, she spotted the First Horn of Apocalypse sitting in the corner of the room.

According to the Revelation, when an angel blows the horn, the world is destroyed and reborn.

Gabriel's character was based on the legendary archangel Gabriel, so naturally, she possessed such a horn.

Ordinarily, such a world-ending artifact should have been stored safely. But the current Gabriel was far from the model angel she once was and paid little attention to the horn.

Seeing Shin's interest in the horn, Gabriel rolled her eyes and suddenly chuckled mischievously, saying:

"What? Interested in the horn? It's a very valuable piece of craftsmanship, you know."

When Gabriel called the First Horn of Apocalypse a mere "craftsmanship," Shin had a hunch about what she would say next.

Sure enough, Gabriel patted her flat chest and said:

"But if you, Zuke, want it, I could sell it to you at a discount—on one condition: you have to help me get your weird ability!"

Gabriel had already guessed that Shin's money-making methods likely had something to do with his peculiar ability.

Even without knowing the specifics, just the ability to hack into networks at will made her envious.

She imagined all the possibilities—punishing trolls, altering her bank balance…

Who needs a First Horn of Apocalypse ? Can it make money?

Hearing this, Shin was tempted.

After all, the First Horn of Apocalypse was indeed capable of destroying Earth, likely by triggering various natural disasters as described in the Revelation.

But what if "Blackbird" consumed the horn? Would that grant him the power to summon calamities?

However, when Gabriel mentioned granting her a Stand ability in exchange, Shin hesitated.

He had intended to use Stand abilities as a bargaining chip to reel Gabriel in gradually. If it were too easy for her to acquire a Stand, she might not value it.

Seeing Shin's hesitation, Gabriel quickly backtracked:

"Wait! Do you think it's too expensive? Well… if it's not about granting me that ability, we can negotiate another deal!"

Shin couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. He had been wondering how to acquire Gabriel's First Horn of Apocalypse , only to find her worrying about whether he valued it.

It made sense. In the original story, Gabriel treated the First Horn of Apocalypse as nothing special and even wanted to blow it for trivial reasons.

To her, online gaming was likely more important than the horn.

In the end, Shin acquired Gabriel's First Horn of Apocalypse at the cost of a top-tier set of enhanced gaming equipment.

If other angels or demons learned of this, they'd probably be dumbfounded.

A horn capable of destroying the world, sold for a set of gaming gear?

Such absurdities were only possible in a comedy series.

For most people, unthinkable scenarios became entirely plausible when it came to comedic characters.

"Excellent, excellent! Hehe…"

Gabriel rubbed her hands with a pervy grin as she admired the exquisite gear displayed on her laptop screen.

As for the First Horn of Apocalypse she had traded away, she didn't spare it a second glance, treating it as if it were a worthless trinket.

Of course, Gabriel likely assumed that the horn was only effective if blown by an angel. As a human, Shin would at most produce a muffled noise.

What she didn't know was that when Shin held the horn, he immediately felt it.

The shadowy figure of "Blackbird" emerged behind him, its vacant gaze fixed on the horn in his hand.

Indeed, "Blackbird" felt an appetite for the First Horn of Apocalypse —indicating that Shin could gain a unique ability by having it consumed.

"Who would've thought that the real world could offer opportunities for gaining special powers," Shin mused.

The horn was light and didn't radiate any discernible energy. Yet Blackbird's instincts were never wrong. Shin tossed the horn into the air, and Blackbird devoured it whole.

"Although this isn't a Stand, it still deserves a fitting name… Since it's a horn from Revelation, let's call it 'Blackbird · Revelation.'"
