A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 36: Yoshihiro Kira Comes Knocking

After entering the JoJo world for over two hours, Zuke was crouching by a busy street in central Cairo, observing the bustling crowds.

As a major city in Egypt, downtown Cairo felt more like a modern city, far better than the market and outskirts he'd passed earlier.

Here, Zuke also spotted a fair number of rich locals, impeccably dressed, driving through the streets in sleek cars, and he couldn't help but feel the urge to act. If he could just swipe some cash from one of these big shots, he'd have enough to buy the arrow from Enya right away.

However, Zuke restrained himself for now. They had to be near Dio's mansion, and acting recklessly might draw the attention of Dio's men.

While Zuke waited on the street corner, many young women and well-off ladies tried striking up conversations with him. Zuke's good looks stood out, especially since handsome Asian faces were rare in Cairo, so these women seemed eager for a taste of the exotic.

Some even hinted at offering considerable sums, which made Zuke marvel at how many wealthy people there were in this city center. But he politely declined all their advances, even when they raised their offers.

For one, their heavy makeup wasn't his style, and for another, he worried he'd burn through his remaining six hours in this world if he overdid it. Ahem, no other reason.

"Standing here isn't getting me anywhere. Maybe I should try tailing one of these wealthy folks and act when no one's around…"

After some time observing Cairo's streets, Zuke began to get a feel for the movements of the affluent. He wasn't loitering aimlessly but rather scoping out the area.

From about half an hour of watching, he noticed that most wealthy Cairo residents traveled by private car, typically with a chauffeur. It was almost impossible to lure one of these folks somewhere secluded since they all traveled along main roads, never venturing down alleys.

However, Zuke noticed a clothing store across the street, apparently one catering to the wealthy. Several private cars had already parked outside, with well-fed patrons waddling inside, only to emerge shortly afterward and leave by car.

This was Zuke's chance: he could wait for a car to stop, knock out the driver, and then, once the rich client returned, drive them to a secluded location.

Most of these people sat in the back seat, so with a bit of caution, they wouldn't even notice the driver had changed. Once Zuke had driven them somewhere isolated, he could rob them without worrying about Dio's henchmen noticing.

Oh, and could Zuke drive? Not a problem—he had a driver's license back in his world before he began jumping into the multiverse. Though it had been two and a half years since he last drove, muscle memory should kick in… probably.

At worst, if he ended up crashing, he could just protect himself with "Ki." Even a head-on collision with a truck wouldn't leave a scratch.

With his mind made up, Zuke leaned casually against a lamppost across from the store, eyes fixed on the entrance, waiting for the next wealthy victim to appear.

About ten minutes later, a taxi stopped in front of the store. Zuke was surprised but didn't pay it much mind. The store clearly offered services for the rich but also had some options affordable to the general public, so it wasn't unusual for regular people to come and go.

But Zuke's target wasn't an average person. Not only did robbing them feel wrong, but their pockets probably wouldn't satisfy his needs. After all, no ordinary person would carry their entire fortune around.

Zuke dismissed the taxi, thinking it was probably just a regular civilian. But when he saw who stepped out, his eyes widened in shock.

The man who exited the cab had graying hair, a frail figure, and was obviously advanced in years. Zuke recognized him—or rather, knew of him.

It was Yoshikage Kira's father, Yoshihiro Kira!

If Zuke hadn't interfered, this man would have bought the arrow from Enya, taken it back to Japan's Morioh Town, and unleashed havoc in the fourth part of the story.

"Of course," Zuke thought, "Enya is due to leave Cairo for Pakistan soon, so Yoshihiro Kira would naturally be here if he plans to buy the arrow from her."

Zuke's heart raced. If robbing an unknown wealthy stranger posed some risks, robbing Yoshihiro Kira was a golden opportunity.

Other rich people might have bodyguards or guns on them, which could attract unwanted attention. But Yoshihiro was a Japanese traveler and unlikely to be carrying a gun, so Zuke didn't have to worry about drawing attention.

More importantly, if Yoshihiro was here to buy the arrow, he'd definitely be carrying enough cash!

"Perfect, this couldn't be easier."

As Yoshihiro Kira entered the store, Zuke strode toward it as well, ready to make his move.

Would he feel guilty robbing Yoshihiro Kira? Absolutely not! This man would do anything to protect his murderous son, a monster who'd go on to use the arrow to conceal his crimes from the police.

By robbing him, Zuke would prevent him from buying the arrow, potentially stopping Yoshikage Kira from ever awakening his Stand powers. It might even mean Yoshikage would be caught by the police sooner, a true service to society.
