A Saiyan's Journey

Chapter 38: Part 4, Completed

Though Zuke had anticipated that Yoshihiro Kira would carry a substantial amount of money, he was still taken aback when he found a large stash of cash in Kira's bag.

"Carrying this much cash... did you just rob a bank?"

As Zuke held the thick wads of cash, he couldn't help but wonder where Yoshihiro Kira could have gotten it all. After all, it was only the 1980s; mobile payment systems were nowhere close to reality, but it was unusual for someone to bring so much cash on an overseas trip.

"It's just... for emergencies…"

Kira replied cautiously to Zuke's question, clearly intimidated by Zuke's power, and dared not resist.

As Zuke had already learned, Kira's family had once been wealthy. Though they were now only left with an estate in Morioh Town, they still had considerable liquid assets.

Zuke vaguely recalled Yoshikage once lamenting about his family's declining fortunes—likely due to his father spending too much money on that arrow.

Perhaps there was some truth to the theory of a "universal correction line." Maybe Yoshikage's father had somehow sensed that this trip to Egypt would be costly, so he'd taken out all this cash.

In any case, whether this was the reason or not, the money was now in Zuke's hands, and Kira couldn't possibly buy an arrow from Enya with it anymore.

Enya had spent a substantial amount of money buying five arrows from Diavolo, and if Kira couldn't come up with the funds, she certainly wouldn't sell them cheaply to him.

That old woman didn't have DIO's magnetism for attracting sinister characters.

"I gave you all my money, so... can I leave now?"

Kira, trembling, watched as Zuke counted the money, putting on a fawning smile and daring not to say a word against him, hoping Zuke would let him go once he'd finished counting.

He had already made up his mind to book a ticket back to Japan as soon as he got away from this demon and vowed never to return to Egypt.

As for going to the police or seeking revenge... honestly, Yoshihiro Kira had no such thought.

The reason was simple—Zuke had clearly called him "Mr. Yoshihiro" when he pulled out his gun to threaten him.

Kira remembered vividly that he had never actively told anyone his name during his time here, yet Zuke knew it. Did this mean he recognized him?

Although Kira couldn't think of where he might have met Zuke, the fact that they were both Asian led him to believe Zuke might also be a resident of Morioh Town.

So he'd decided: not only would he never return to Egypt, but he'd also move away from Morioh Town when he got back, just to avoid crossing paths with Zuke again.

"Leave?"

Zuke looked at Kira, sneering, and before Kira could react, he kicked him in the neck.

The terrifying force snapped Kira's neck instantly. His body flew through the air, hitting the ground with eyes wide open, staring at Zuke, seemingly unable to believe that he'd attack without warning, leaving him no time to react.

Kira was an unrepentant villain, so Zuke felt no need to spare him. Although he doubted Kira had the guts to go to the police, he decided to eliminate him cleanly to avoid future troubles.

Had he used a bit more force or kicked just a bit higher, Zuke could have shattered Kira's head, giving him a painless death.

But then, his pants, worth 20,000 yen, would have been soiled with blood and flesh—a disgusting thought.

So he chose to simply break Kira's neck, letting him die slowly. Although this caused Kira a bit more suffering, it spared Zuke's pants from any unsightly mess.

For someone like Kira, who did horrible things to protect his murderous son, Zuke felt no guilt for making him suffer.

"Guhhh…"

Kira opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but he soon lost his breath. Zuke could feel his "life energy" diminishing until it finally dissipated completely.

As for his son Yoshikage, he was probably still in Morioh Town, Japan. Zuke didn't plan to go out of his way to take him down. Without his father's protection, Yoshikage likely wouldn't survive for long anyway.

Zuke remembered Yoshikage killed his first victim in 1983, so Yoshikage was already a threat.

However, the reason he managed to remain a serial killer undetected for decades was mainly due to the arrow his father had brought home, which awakened Yoshikage's Stand, "Killer Queen," giving him the ability to erase evidence and cover his tracks.

Now that Yoshikage's father was dead, the arrow wouldn't make it back to Morioh Town, so Yoshikage would never awaken "Killer Queen." Without that powerful ability, it was only a matter of time before he got caught.

Looking down at Kira's corpse, Zuke raised his hand, releasing a blast of \Ki that completely destroyed it, leaving no trace.

"With this cash, I'll be able to buy the arrow now."

Zuke put the cash back in Kira's bag. He had just counted it, and there was more than enough to purchase Enya's arrow, with plenty left over.

He'd been in the JoJo world for nearly three hours now, and with five hours remaining, he had enough time to buy the arrow, find a quiet place to awaken his Stand, and explore its abilities.

If he made quick progress, he might even storm DIO's mansion and finish the main storyline in a single day.

If that happened, he could consider it a "speedrun" of the JoJo world's main storyline, quite a contrast to the Dragon Ball world storyline, which was still at 1%.

For now, he could only hope that his Stand wouldn't be some weak ability and that it would be humanoid.

A humanoid Stand would attach to his body and launch attacks through him. Even if it had weak stats, this kind of Stand would allow him to hit his enemies directly with his own strength, enough to knock the other Stands out cold.
