A Star Wars Story

Chapter 3: Prologue

Y/N has been called into the council meeting by his master, Jedi Master Dooku. Y/N knowing his master was unsure if this was a good thing or a bad thing as one could never truly be certain when it came to Dooku or the Jedi Council. When Y/N entered the Jedi Council chambers, he was greeted by not only my master but all the other Jedi Masters who were on the Jedi Council. He was was decent friends with a few of the Jedi's Master's Padawan like Master Plo's Padawan Uma Serlor, a young Togruta who was a year younger than him.

Y/N: "You called for me, Master?" Y/N asked in Master Dooku's direction.

Mace Windu: "That's right Padawan, the council has a mission for you."

Y/N: "What type of mission?"

Yoda: "Danger there will be, ready you must be." The grand master and eldest of all Jedi living in this temple states in his strange way of speaking. "Join Master Qui-Gon you will, along with Padawan Kenobi."

Dooku: "You will accompany them in helping to negotiate the peaceful de-escalation of the growing tensions between the Naboo and the Trade Federation."

Mace Windu: "And if possible, bring an end to their illegal blockade of the planet."

Y/N: "Understood, Master. When am I to leave?"

Mace Windu: "Within the hour, does that work for you?"

Y/N: "Yes, Master."

Mace Windu: "Good."

Yoda: "Go you must, leave soon the ship will."

Y/N: "I won't let you down Masters."

Mace Windu: "May the Force be with you, young Padawan."

Dooku: "And do try to stay out of trouble this time and not cause any trouble for Master Qui-Gon this time, I don't want a repeat of our last mission." A smirk was quite evident on Dooku's face as he looked at me with a knowing look which I returned an almost mimicked version of it.

Y/N: "I will try my best, Master."

Without another word Y/N bowed to his master and the rest of the Jedi council before leaving the Jed Council Chamber with when the door closed behind him and small grumble was heard from Mace Windu causing the attention of everyone in the room to shift towards him.

Master Plo Koon: "What troubles you, my friend?"

Mace Windu: "I wonder if we have placed too much trust in young L/N."

Dooku: "Y/N is a capable warrior and a finer duelist than most in the Order can hope to achieve, what makes you have misplaced faith in my padawan?"

Mace Windu: "There is a darkness in that boy, I can sense it and according to your report a few months ago he even showed signs of coming close to tapping into it when on Ryloth rescuing senator Orn Free Taa's daughter from her kidnappers."

This caused the mood of the council room to darken as a few of the Council members nodded in agreement to Mace Windu's words whilst a great deal of others stayed complacent yet still agreed with Windu's words.

Dooku: "While its true that Y/N can tend to draw on his emotions at times I believe he can control it. He is young and will still learn. You yourself had trouble controlling your own emotions when you were a padawan, Master Windu."

Yoda: "Right both of you are, watch him we will. Guide him and steer his away from the path of darkness should he begin to stray."

With that the council adjourned leaving there concerns in the air for now leaving Dooku to question if they were indeed right and if the time had finally come for him to bring Y/N in on his and Sidious' secret agenda and plans for the galaxy.
