A Strange Crossover

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Unlocking them all

5 day later- Time Skip

First person POV

No one told me how to do it.

No scroll. No mentor. Just imagination with accuracy.

Just an enthusiastic kid trying to force three damn energies to obey him in the middle of a cursed forest that wanted me dead the second I stepped in.

I didn't come out here to be found. I came out to disappear—and rebuild. As my temporary safe house would not be as secure and private as this location.

I could train for hours without getting noticed or farming attention.

The first day was a small success

Every. Single. Attempt.

I stand under a rotting tree, trying to summon my Curse Energy by thinking about the sensation I felt when I unlocked it: the amount was minuscule, still I let it flow, no self harm today just let it out — for better efficiency one must realize that they exist in the world with their entire mind, body, and soul as one.

So it can be spread in an optimized way.

System called multiple notifications which I disregarded as I could feel the progress and tingle that whatever I was trying to do is working.

With instincts or impulsive thought I slammed my fists into the dead tree behind in one swing and it exploded. The cursed residue around me stirred like it was watching.

That night, I couldn't sleep.

I was in deep thought about how to get a curse technique or domain expansion the pinnacle of jujutsu. I kept a fire burning and my back to a tree. My hands shook. My gut twisted.

I was tired. But I didn't leave.

As for the rest of the day I rested and continued to train till night as the day came to end I opened up the system to see the change. And to my surprise, things changed.

Day 2

Day two was pain.

I started experimenting with Ki, trying to recall the exact spark from the day I unlocked it. Focus on the breath. Feel the center.

Move it like fire through your veins. Unlike Curse energy which was cold.

I sat cross-legged on cold stone, hands on my knees, spine straight even though it screamed at me to slump. Inhale. Exhale.

Again. Again. Again.

Till something happens.

As seconds turned to minutes and minutes to hours, it happened.

Something flickered—heat, low and tight behind my belly. It moved like pressure, not magic. I stood up too fast, focused it into my legs, and leapt.

I stumbled. Crashed into a branch. Landed flat on my back and bit my tongue.

But when I stood again, I laughed. There'd been power in it. Real, raw power. Not enough—but something. As everyone starts from something and works till they achieve what they want.

However it was night already, I punched a big car size rock and it cracked.

Not a break. Not impressive.

But a crack.

I felt I had more Ki left to utilize so to feed something to my ego—I slammed a Ki-infused elbow into the cracked rock and shattered it into smaller pieces.

I slept 8 hours after that. Maybe ten.

But one thing for sure is my proficiency with Ki is lesser than with C.E.

Not only because of how much time and effort it took but how much I sweated and tired I was in the end unlike before.

Day three was cold.

River water. Broken bones. Breathing through a reed.

I needed to test Hamon—sunlight energy, life energy. Hard to describe but easy to grasp.

Hamon is born in breath. And that is what I understand about it from the day I got it.

The rhythm of life becomes energy. Flow it through the blood. Make the body sing.

Yeah, easier said than done.

I waded into a frozen stream and sat with only my neck above the water, a hollow reed jammed between my teeth. My fingers went numb in minutes. My chest burned like I was breathing knives. The cold stripped me of every thought but survival.

I held the rhythm. In. Out. In. Out.

At some point, I stopped thinking. Just breathing. Just being.

And then… I felt it. A spark lit behind my ribs. Like sunlight under the skin. Gentle, pure, nothing like Ki or Cursed Energy. I opened my eyes—and saw golden threads dancing across my fingers.

It was gone in seconds. But it had been there.

I dragged myself to shore and lay shaking on the bank until the stars blinked overhead. My lips were blue, but I smiled anyway.

For now nothing much could be done, my main goal was to get more connected with hamon and improve the stats which I believe now I can do anytime because of now experience.

Day four was chaos.

The energies kept clashing.

Curse Energy burned cold and wild, reacting to every emotion I hadn't buried deep enough. One second I had it wrapped around my arm like wire—the next, it lashed out and cracked a tree in half by accident.

This situation was unprecedented as such an event never arises where someone can have more than one form of power, which also made me realize that there is much more for me to learn.

Otherwise there will be clashes of dominant power again.

There interaction had strong side effect like destruction and more destruction.

Ki stabilized me. Grounded me. But too much, and I became slow. Rigid.

As for Hamon? Hamon demanded peace. Breath control. Calm.

But how do you find calm when your power is subconsciously fighting for domination and you're a waking and talking nuke?

I lost it.

I overcharged a strike and tore my shoulder muscle. Collapsed from Hamon backlash. Threw up after channeling too much Curse Energy for me to handle.

I screamed into the trees. Cursed the sky. Smashed my fists into the rock until my knuckles split it open again.

But then I stood.

I stitched my shoulder with thorns and fire. Reset my breath. Sat until my Ki circled again. Forced my emotions into focus, bent my Curse Energy to wrap around me instead of explode.

However with every down or side effect there were positive points like my power growing and I could feel the difference as crystal clear water.

They were more than twice what I imagined it to be.

With every day passed it was an eccentric feeling yet another concern grew. The ratio and money were going low, I needed to find a way to earn money.

The fifth wasn't a challenge.

It was a reminder.

Of everything I'd earned.

I stood in the clearing where I'd nearly collapsed on the first day, shirt shredded, ribs wrapped in cloth, arms painted in bruises and ash.

The people who had mocked me can't do it anymore.

I smiled with satisfaction but there is still a lot to do and grow.

I took one breath. Deep. Calm.

Ki stirred, flowing smoothly through my limbs like liquid heat.

Hamon sparked in my lungs, lacing my skin with gold.

Curse Energy whispered at the edges of my thoughts—but it wasn't unstable anymore but I only have 20% control over it for now.

..

Third person

It was getting dark as usual every session in training.

Moonlight filtered through the gnarled canopy, casting ghostly patterns across the damp forest floor.

*Ting

[Thread Awareness activated]

Mist clung to the air like a predator waiting to pounce. Three low-class vampires crept forward, their fangs gleaming, eyes glowing faint crimson. They moved with the confidence of seasoned hunters.

Yet they never saw Arata coming. As he was good at concealing his presence. A sudden ripple in the air—a soft, whistling hum—and then boom.

A shockwave burst from behind the moss-covered boulders.

Arata, a figure no taller than two baseball bats, rocketed out with a radiant cloak of crackling ki. His eyes glowed like twin suns through the fog.

"Surprise," he said with an eerie calm, voice soft and cold. "You were too busy drooling to check your blind spot."

Vampire One had barely turned before Arata struck him hard.

Hamon surged down the child's arms, golden sunlight flaring to life around his tiny fists.

Don't let them recover.

Arata twisted mid-air, his heel slamming into the vampire's jaw. As the creature staggered, a follow-up palm strike coated in Hamon burst against its chest. Its skin sizzled, and it screamed as blackened blood sprayed the forest leaves.

"Too slow," Arata muttered.

He thrust his palm forward, and a condensed ball of Ki which was his fist size launched point-blank into the vampire's gut, hurling it through a tree. Bark exploded on impact. The vampire slumped against the trunk, twitching, incapacitated temporarily.

The remaining two vampires dashed in from opposite flanks—one from the underbrush, the other from the canopy above. Arata's eyes scanned, calculating.

Left one's overcommitted. Right one's airborne—sloppy.

He spun low, a sweeping kick laced with Hamon tearing through the kneecaps of the vampire leaping from the canopy. Bones shattered. As it fell, Arata flipped over it, driving a glowing palm into its spine before it hit the ground.

The third tried to tackle him from behind.

Good. Line them up.

Arata let himself fall into a roll, twisting at the last second to trap the vampire's leg with a snare of Hamon infused curse energy.

Tendrils lashed up from the soil, binding the creature mid-leap like spectral chains.

Standing calmly amidst the chaos, Arata raised both hands.

'Hamon overdrive: Radiant Eclipse'

One glowed a radiant gold—Hamon—while the other shimmered with deep violet curse energy.

He slammed his palms together. A blinding beam, twin-colored and searing, tore through the forest fog. The curse-Hamon fusion disintegrated the final vampire mid-air. Nothing remained but a smear of ash floating on the wind.

Silence returned, save for the rustle of leaves and Arata's slow, steady breath. He lowered his arms and wiped his cheek with a tiny, blood-smeared fist. His expression remained calm, unreadable—but his eyes sparkled with something fierce and ancient.

Three down. No wounds. No wasted movement.

First P.POV

*Tingg

'This feeling, I need to hide and pretend.' I instantly adapted, hiding all my emotion and expression as I closed my eyes and lay down on the ground cool and calm, pretending to be exhausted.

My ability [Thread Awareness] was activated automatically the 2nd time but this time it was hard really hard tingling as if the enemies were strong as well as in large numbers.
