Chapter 172: [172] The Sixth of All Six Flowers
Upon hearing Yabuki's introduction, Roy immediately turned his attention to the website Óðrerir.
This ranking only included students eligible for the Festa—meaning it listed all active participants. The formidable names on this list would be Roy's primary opponents—if he ever participated in other Festas in the future.
Ranked first on Óðrerir: Orphelia Landlufen, the "Ereshkigal" from Rewolf Black Institute.
Clicking on the name, a window popped up, displaying a detailed profile, a pentagon chart, and a photograph.
The girl in the photo shared Roy's striking features—snow-white hair and crimson eyes.
The pentagon chart evaluated combat prowess across five categories: Close Combat, Ranged Combat, Prana, Ability, and Weapon. Each category could be expanded into several subcategories.
Orphelia Landlufen, the Ereshkigal:
Close Combat—None.
Ranged Combat—S++.
Prana—S++.
Ability—S++.
Weapon—None.
Overall Rating—S++.
"Her overwhelming strength is obvious just from the chart alone," Roy remarked, raising an eyebrow.
He clicked on one of Orphelia's battle videos. The white-haired, red-eyed girl stood motionless, her gaze unfocused, her expression indifferent. Yet, endless waves of purple mist seeped from her body, morphing into massive hands that swallowed her opponent whole.
The battle was brutally straightforward—pure, overwhelming power crushing the opposition. Her opponent couldn't even resist. It wasn't a fight; it was like swatting away an annoying insect.
Roy thought this girl suited the title of "Tyrant" far more than he ever could.
"Orphelia Landlufen. Though still a high school student, she's already won two consecutive Phoenix Festas, making her the second in history to achieve back-to-back victories. She's also the first in over a decade to receive an S++ rating on Óðrerir. Many believe she'll easily secure a third Phoenix title, making her the undisputed first-ever triple champion—the true King of the Six Flowers."
Even Yabuki, usually so carefree, wore a solemn expression as he watched Roy examine the profile.
"Normally, students root for their own academy's top-ranked fighter to defeat rivals from other schools. But when it comes to Orphelia Landlufen? Even her own academy's students don't expect to beat her. Losing to her is the norm—and that includes you."
Roy was widely regarded as Seidoukan's current top-ranked fighter, even if his name wasn't officially listed.
But if he faced Orphelia? Not a single Seidoukan student would bet on his victory. The only question in a wager would be how quickly he'd lose—not whether he could win.
Roy remained silent, committing the girl's image to memory.
"What are you two discussing so intensely that you've forgotten to eat?"
A cool yet familiar voice interrupted them.
They turned to see Julis, her pink hair swaying, carrying a tray as she took a seat beside them.
"Ah, sorry for the intrusion..."
Accompanying them was a silver-haired, baby-faced, and busty junior who bowed nervously to the two.
"How did you two end up together?"
"We just happened to run into each other while queuing."
Julis answered nonchalantly, her gaze inadvertently drifting toward the holo-screen in front of Roy.
The moment the image of a white-haired, red-eyed girl entered her vision, Julis froze abruptly, her breath hitching as if her veins had turned to ice.
"That is…?"
"Oh, I was just checking the rankings on Óðrerir."
Roy glanced at Julis, noticing her suddenly pale and dreadful expression.
Without a word, he silently closed the pop-up window and returned to the ranking interface.
"Óðrerir? I know that! What rank are you at now, Roy-senpai?"
Hearing this, Kirin beside them brightened up, asking eagerly.
"Let me see."
Roy continued scrolling down.
Ranked second: Queenvail Girls' Academy, the Sigrdrifa, Sylvia Lyyneheym.
Looking at the photo of the deep purple-haired girl, Roy's first impression was that she was stunningly beautiful. His second thought was that the name sounded familiar—wasn't this the world-famous songstress Yabuki had just mentioned?
Further down, names like Ernest Fairclough, Wu Xiaofei, and Rodolfo Zoppo appeared.
And then, Roy's own name.
"I'm sixth."
"That's amazing!"
Kirin immediately looked at Roy with admiration, her eyes sparkling.
"When I became Seidoukan's top ranker, I could only reach fifteenth!"
This was way too unbalanced.
Roy skimmed through the rankings again and noticed that the top one or two students from most academies were ranked within the top ten—except for the top rankers of Arlequint Academy and Seidoukan. Shockingly, neither of them even made it into the top ten!
"Seidoukan's performance is this bad…?"
"That's what I told you—Seidoukan's practically the bottom-feeder now!"
Yabuki laughed heartily, completely unfazed. He had zero sense of collective pride whatsoever.
Scrolling further, names like Julis and Tonno Mozuhi didn't appear until well past the thirtieth rank.
Overall, Seidoukan's performance wasn't just bad—it was abysmal!
"But with you here now, things might start looking up."
Yabuki scooped a spoonful of curry rice into his mouth, thoroughly enjoying his lunch.
Roy clicked on his own name, and another pop-up appeared.
The player profile section was sparse—unsurprising, since as a special admission student, little information about him had been released. What caught Roy's attention was the pentagon chart analyzing his combat capabilities.
Close Combat: S+
Ranged Combat: None
Prana: S+
Abilities: None
Weapons: None
Overall Evaluation: S.
Roy pondered this.
If this ranking was truly accurate, then with only the abilities he had revealed so far, he was only sixth among tens of thousands of Genestellars in Asterisk. Against the top five, he'd be at a severe disadvantage.
Of course, this ranking was based solely on the strength Roy had displayed thus far—but his true capabilities extended far beyond just physical prowess and prana.
However, that portion of his strength wasn't something he could openly display, as Roy was a globally wanted criminal by Ginga, and he had used that very power when fighting those who pursued him.
Roy glanced again at the Hexa Pantheon.
On this active competitor ranking, which leaned more toward fan votes, the top spot still belonged to the Ereshkigal, Orphelia Landlufen.
Though Roy believed he wouldn't lose even against the Ereshkigal, achieving dual first-place rankings on the two most prestigious lists across both worlds was a feat he had to acknowledge as remarkable.
Seizing the opportunity, Roy also checked the comprehensive ranking, which included all past participants in Hexa's history.
First place went to the Chronotemis, Helga Lindwall—the first in history to achieve back-to-back victories in the Lindwurm Festival and now the captain of Hexa's Security Force. Her strength was considered on par with the Ereshkigal, and together they were hailed as the two strongest witches in Hexa's history.
Second place was held by the Banyuu Tenra, Wang Xiaoyuan—the first to claim the triple crown of the Phoenix, Gryps, and Lindwurm Festa. Rumors said she had long since wandered off to distant lands.
Roy nodded repeatedly as he read.
Hmm, a severe case of female dominance.
Well, the lack of masculine presence? That's something I'll make up for!
