Absolute Domain

Chapter 10: The Awakening of the Crimson Storm

The storm brewing above was no ordinary phenomenon. Clouds swirled unnaturally, crackling with streaks of red lightning. The air grew dense, heavy with the taste of iron, as if the heavens themselves were bleeding. Zhang Yong and Lilith stood at the center of this unfolding chaos, their senses heightened and ready.

Lilith cocked her head, her crimson eyes narrowing. "This… this doesn't feel like a coincidence. Something—or someone—is watching us."

Zhang Yong scanned the horizon, his Absolute Krishna Domain flickering faintly around him. "Let them watch. It won't save them from what's coming."

Before Lilith could retort, the earth beneath them split open with a deafening crack, revealing a chasm filled with glowing red liquid that reeked of death. From the depths of the fissure, a massive figure began to emerge—a towering humanoid with skin the color of molten lava, its eyes burning with an unholy fire.

Its voice rumbled like an earthquake, shaking the ground around them. "Who dares disturb the slumber of the Crimson Titan? Speak, mortals, before I crush you beneath my wrath!"

Zhang Yong's expression didn't change. He stepped forward, his golden aura intensifying. "Slumber? Is that what you call hiding from the world while it moves on without you? Pathetic."

The Crimson Titan roared, its fiery eyes narrowing. "Insolent worm! You will burn in the flames of my fury!"

It raised a massive hand, a ball of searing fire forming in its palm. With a guttural growl, it hurled the fireball at Zhang Yong, the heat alone enough to incinerate the surrounding landscape.

Zhang Yong stood still, unflinching, as the fireball approached. At the last second, his Absolute Krishna Domain expanded, absorbing the fiery attack completely. The golden aura shimmered with renewed intensity, as if mocking the Titan's futile effort.

Lilith laughed, her voice dripping with mockery. "Is that all you've got? I've seen baby dragons throw better tantrums."

The Crimson Titan's roar echoed through the wasteland as it charged at them, the ground trembling beneath its massive footsteps. Zhang Yong remained calm, his gaze cold and calculating.

"Enough," he muttered, raising his hand.

Golden chains erupted from his domain, coiling around the Titan's limbs with lightning speed. The chains glowed brighter with each passing second, burning through the Titan's molten flesh.

The Titan howled in pain, its voice a mixture of rage and desperation. "Release me, mortal! You cannot comprehend the power you meddle with!"

Zhang Yong's lips curled into a cruel smile. "Comprehension is unnecessary. Domination is all that matters."

With a flick of his wrist, the chains tightened, pulling the Titan to its knees. Its fiery eyes dimmed as its strength waned, but its defiance remained.

"You think this victory is yours?" the Titan spat, blood—if it could be called that—seeping from its wounds. "Killing me will only bring more of my kind. You are nothing but a speck in the grand scheme of chaos."

Zhang Yong stepped closer, his golden blade materializing in his hand. He looked the Titan in the eyes, his voice low and menacing. "Then let them come. I'll make their deaths just as brutal as yours."

With one swift motion, Zhang Yong drove the blade through the Titan's chest. The creature let out a final, agonized scream as its body began to disintegrate, the golden energy consuming it from within.

As the Titan's form faded, Zhang Yong turned to Lilith. "Another pawn removed. But this is just the beginning."

Lilith raised an eyebrow, her expression a mix of amusement and concern. "You're enjoying this a bit too much, aren't you?"

Zhang Yong didn't respond. His focus was on the chasm, where the red liquid was beginning to bubble and churn violently. Something else was coming.

Before they could react, the liquid shot upward in a massive column, and from it emerged dozens of smaller figures, each one cloaked in fire and shadow. They were humanoid, but their movements were erratic and unnatural, like puppets controlled by unseen strings.

Lilith sighed, summoning her black scythe. "Well, looks like the party's not over yet. Shall we?"

Zhang Yong's golden aura flared once more as he prepared for the next wave. "No mercy."

As the creatures charged, the battle resumed with unrelenting brutality. Zhang Yong moved like a god of war, his every strike precise and devastating. Each slash of his blade left trails of golden light, dismembering his enemies in gruesome fashion. Limbs flew, blood sprayed, and screams filled the air as Zhang Yong carved through the horde with terrifying efficiency.

Lilith was no less deadly, her scythe spinning in a whirlwind of death. She laughed as she fought, reveling in the carnage. "You know, I almost feel bad for these poor souls. Almost."

The creatures fought with ferocity, but they were no match for Zhang Yong and Lilith. Within moments, the battlefield was littered with their broken, burning bodies.

As the last creature fell, Zhang Yong lowered his blade, his golden aura dimming slightly. He turned to Lilith, his expression unreadable. "This wasn't random. Someone sent them."

Lilith wiped the blood from her scythe, her eyes narrowing. "You're saying someone knows about the seal you broke? And they're already sending their lackeys?"

Zhang Yong nodded. "It's only a matter of time before stronger enemies come. We need to prepare."

Lilith smirked. "Prepare, huh? I thought you liked it when things got messy."

Zhang Yong's gaze hardened. "Messy is fine. But this is war. And in war, the one who hesitates dies."

As the two of them continued their journey, the storm above them began to dissipate, leaving behind a blood-red sky. Unbeknownst to them, a shadowy figure watched from afar, its eyes glowing with malice.
