Ace Of Terrans

Chapter 987 : Exchange.

Shi Lang did not know what was going on in the eastern continent. After he sent a signal about and the uplink established, he stood up from the ground, and stretched his body before he used his spirit sense to monitor the surroundings. He found that he was surrounded by forest and nothing else.

Even spiritual beasts were scarce in this area. Looking at the pillar behind him, he realized that the entire city ground in the southern continent has been boycotted and destroyed by the beast kin. Thinking about this, Shi Lang tried to look further with his spirit sense but he failed.

Not only did the beast kin destroy the city, they even cast an isolation barrier. He thought about it and concluded that they probably wanted to keep any resentful spirits at the bay. Shaking his head, the Terran raised his left arm and checked the surroundings with the help of the satellites.

Soon a map appeared on his communicator, he found that the beast kin had set up a camp at the old city gates with a few dozen people being present there. Shi Lang began to head over, his primary motive was to gather information and these guards might know things.

...

Outside the city gates, there were two burly men standing across each other, they had two bull horns on their heads, and carried bludgeons made of metal with them. The rest of the people in the camp were looking at the two of them. It seemed as if they were getting ready for a battle.

Suddenly, someone yelled, "Human!"

The people were shocked and they turned to look in the direction of the city gate. Behind the barrier they found Shi Lang, walking towards them with his hands behind his back. A calm expression and ethereal aura, but it still sent chills down their spines. One of the bull-horned man said, "Light the talisman, tell the clan leader that we found a human."

Shi Lang walked through the barrier as if it did not exist. He looked at the hostile expressions of the people and said calmly, "Hello, I came from the Dao Plain, I wish to ask you if you know anything about the bald donkeys from the west?"

The bull-horned people did not answer, but one of the front liners took a step forward and raised his bludgeon to put it on his shoulder and said, "You are not welcome on the southern continent, you should leave while you still can."

Shi Lang sighed and said, "See, I am sure you are not interested in knowing the bigger reasons and want to follow your orders. Fine, I will stand on the other side of the barrier, you have one hour to call your superior, after that, I will make my way to find those donkeys on my own."

The second man with the bludgeon did not like Shi Lang's tone and dashed forward with the intent to beat the Terran. The Shura did not even turn around and only waved his hand. The strong sword intent radiated from his hand, chopped the bludgeon in two. The cut was so smooth that it shocked the people.

The Terran said, "If you tried to reach for the stars, you will burn, so be careful not to lose your life at my hands as I do not have any goodwill for you lot."

That said, he walked behind the barrier and sat down in the void with his eyes closed. The soldiers in the camp were shocked by his display. They did not expect this human to be so strong. The guy from earlier said, "Report the situation to the clan head, we seem to have a sword cultivator visiting us."

They all had serious expressions as they knew the danger of a sword cultivator. They did not waste much time and directly informed the clan leader. As the time passed, the atmosphere was getting tense with every passing moment.

Shi Lang was not in a hurry, he was just sitting in the void, comprehending the rules of soul that he inherited from people while keeping a count of the time that passed. Just when the time limit was about to evade, a bull-horned man walked out of the void with a beast skin attire covering his body.

He also held a bludgeon which was jet black in color and had traces of blood. Shi Lang sensed his arrival and stood up on the ground as he walked over. The Terran cupped his fist and greeted the man as he said, "Fellow Daoist, my name is Shi Lang, I do not mean bear any ill-will towards you. I am only here to look for the monks that have been travelling the southern islands."

The man checked out and Shi Lang before he said, "I am Kamar. I will tell you what you want if you can defeat me."

Shi Lang nodded, he did not mind a competition. The person before him was half a beast and half a man, he was stronger than the average people. The habit of not underestimating the enemy was still as strong as ever. However, if he used a sword, it would be too easy.

He took out his spear and said, "Come."

The bull-horned man said, "Good."

He raised his bludgeon and dashed at Shi Lang. The latter did not have any expression on his face he simply took half a step forward and stabbed with his spear. The move was so well timed that Kamar could not find a window against Shi Lang. He did not expect Shi Lang to pick his weakness so quickly.

However, he was not going to give up so easily. Despite his big size, he still quickly turned around and then tried to flank Shi Lang, who also pivoted and swung his spear like a bat before throwing it at Kamar. This move shocked everyone.

Kamar swung his weapon to deflect the spinning spear, but the impact cause his arms to go numb. Shi Lang clenched his fist and taking advantage of the momentary lapse, he punched at Kamar, "Lightning Shura Fist." Experience more content on empire

The phantom of a golden-red fist shot through the void and it hit Kamar directly on the chest. The three meter tall beast-kin was thrown off his feet and flung into the void.

Shi Lang flickered from his position, grabbed the spear shaft, and then vanished again before he appeared beside the fallen beast kin, and his spear was just a few inches away from the forehead of the opponent.

Kamar broke out in cold sweat and said, "I will tell you all that you wish to know, Fellow Daoist."

Shi Lang took back the spear and offered his hand to the fallen opponent. Kamar stood up with his help and Shi Lang tossed him a spirit pill. The beast-kin was surprised but he did not sense any malice and consumed the pill after a light sniff. He was not a fool.

Shi Lang asked him, "The monks, where are they, what have they been doing, and how are they doing it?"

Kamar sighed and said, "They have yet to reach our tribe, but I have heard about their appearance in the northern reaches. They offer the people with pills and food, while at the same time they preach various sutras to cleanse the ill emotions harbored in the hearts of the people. The stupid fellows then offer tributes and incense stick to the so called supreme Zen."

Shi Lang nodded and said, "Thank you, that is very helpful."

Kamar asked, "Would you be killing these monks."

Shi Lang shook his head and said, "I would like to confront them and wake them up. They are all causing great imbalance in the world."

Kamar furrowed his brows and asked, "Do you need help?"

Shi Lang shook his head and said, "Not while I am collecting information. However, if it is a confrontation, I would like to walk away with shedding innocent blood."

Kamar nodded, and then he pounded his chest and said, "As long as you work in the favor or the beast kin, I will be there to aid you."

Shi Lang did not say anything and began to think about his next move.
