Adam in the Real World and Harry Potter?(OC/HP/Showbiz/Hollywood)

Chapter 14: Chapter 13:

Chapter 13:

…..

Pansy suddenly stopped in front of a half-open stone door, its gray surface adorned with dark symbols and green engravings.

The door had an ominous aura, and while Adam knew exactly what it was, Pansy seemed completely oblivious to the danger.

"Ohhh… this room looks really special," Pansy said with curiosity, ignoring the unsettling vibes emanating from the door.

Adam felt a chill run down his spine. He remembered Lucius's warning about this room: under no circumstances was he to enter it.

"Pansy, don't go in!" Adam shouted, hurrying toward her.

But it was too late. Pansy's curiosity had gotten the better of her, and before Adam could stop her, she had already stepped across the threshold.

To make matters worse, the stone door began to close behind her.

"Wait!" Adam exclaimed, rushing toward the door and grabbing it just before it could shut completely.

He couldn't leave Pansy alone in there, no matter how much trouble she caused.

Well... truth be told, a part of him wanted to walk away and let her face the consequences, but he knew Lucius would be just as angry at him for not taking responsibility and ensuring she was safe.

Yup, sucked to be Draco sometimes.

Once Adam crossed the threshold, the door sealed shut behind him with a heavy thud, plunging the room into near-total darkness.

The only light came from a faint magical lamp, barely illuminating enough for them to make out the shapes of their surroundings.

Pansy, who had maintained a confident facade until now, flinched slightly at the oppressive darkness around them. She glanced around cautiously, clearly unnerved but attempting to mask her fear with a tone of mockery.

"What kind of rich family can't afford decent lighting in their rooms?" she muttered, shivering slightly.

"They say the Malfoys are so rich, but look at this horrible excuse for a room. Can't they afford a lamp that actually works?" she added, her complaints barely concealing her nervousness.

Adam, amused by her attitude that remained unchanged even in a situation like this, chose not to reply immediately. Feeling a bit vindictive, he decided to stay quiet for a while, letting her stew in the unease she had created for herself.

Instead, he took the opportunity to survey the room.

It appeared to be a private laboratory.

Magical materials were scattered everywhere: parts of magical creatures, broken wands, and jars filled with ominous-looking potions.

Yeah... Everything in the room radiated danger.

Adam wouldn't admit it, but some of the items gave him chills—he had noticed more than one thing that was clearly illegal and dangerous.

'Yup, this looks definitely like a Dark Magic lab,' Adam thought as he carefully examined the room's details.

While exploring, Adam's attention was drawn to a simple black diary lying on a table.

Out of sheer curiosity, he picked it up, and to his surprise, the system reacted.

[Congratulations! You have found Voldemort's first Horcrux: T.M. Riddle's Diary.

You can exchange the Horcrux for a new system ability.]

[Do you wish to exchange T.M. Riddle's Diary Horcrux for a system ability?

Yes/No]

'Umm, well… this is quite unexpected,' Adam thought as he stared at the translucent system screen and its notification.

'Voldemort's Horcrux?'

'What even is a Horcrux, and why does it belong to Voldemort?'

'And even more important, why is Lucius keeping it here?'

After a few moments of pondering, unable to find any immediate answers, Adam decided to research it later. For now, the promise of a new ability was too tempting to pass up. Considering how useful Perfect Acting and Natural Occlumency had been, he didn't hesitate.

The moment he selected "Yes," the diary vanished from his hands as though it had never existed.

Shortly after, a new notification appeared before him:

[Congratulations! You have successfully exchanged T.M. Riddle's Diary Horcrux and gained the ability Parseltongue]

[Parseltongue:

– Ability to understand Parseltongue.

– Ability to speak the language of serpents.]

'Okay, now… that's something,' Adam thought, intrigued.

He had read a bit about Parseltongue... it was a rare ability, usually hereditary.

Well... he'd need to research more, but it seemed like an interesting and unique skill. Talking to snakes, like Harry Potter had done in the manuscript he read, sounded fascinating.

While it didn't seem immediately useful, it was undeniably cool.

Before Adam could process it further, Pansy broke the silence.

"Hey! Why are you so quiet? Say something!" she shouted, her voice a mix of anger and fear.

Amused by her reaction, Adam decided to stretch his silence a little longer. It was a bit mean, but after what she'd put him through, he felt she deserved it.

"Bookworm! I'm talking to you!" Pansy insisted, stepping closer to him, clearly desperate for some form of companionship in the dim room.

Adam sighed and finally decided to speak, his tone calm and nonchalant, masking the tension in the air.

"Did you know my father specifically told me never to enter this room?" he said, still scanning the surroundings, pretending to be more interested in the lab's objects than her reaction. Though he certainly wouldn't complain if he managed to find another item here that he could trade for a system ability, now that would be just awesome... then again he would have to worry about Lucius finding out that such things were missing... yep, that could be a huge problem, so for now he could only hope that Lucius wouldn't find out that the book was missing later.

Pansy's eyes widened.

"Then why didn't you tell me we weren't supposed to come in here?" she exclaimed, her voice rising louder than she intended.

"..." At this point Adam found himself thinking that maybe he would like to apply his brother Andrew's more... umm... subtle way of handling everything... beating her up. But first, he wasn't his brother and second, she was a woman so he doubted that even his brother would be shameless enough to hit her. However, he definitely didn't have a lack of desire for it at the moment.

"I did," Adam replied coolly. "You just chose not to listen."

Pansy frowned, clearly embarrassed but too prideful to admit it. Instead, she crossed her arms and stayed silent, though she stuck close to Adam's side.

Adam turned his attention to finding a way out.

They couldn't stay in the room for long... Lucius would be furious if he discovered they had entered his private lab. Which now he knew was actually a Dark Magic lab.

While examining the walls, Adam noticed a set of runes carved near the door. They appeared to be part of a magical locking mechanism that could only be undone with the correct spell. The problem was that Adam didn't have a wand, and despite all his reading, he had no idea how to deactivate something this advanced.

'I really wish I had a wand right now...' he thought, studying the runes intently. Yet, even with a wand he didn't know a specific spell that could do much in this particular situation. And even if he did, he should be able to use it successfully.

"What are you doing?" Pansy asked, stepping closer to him cautiously.

"Trying to figure out how to get us out of here," Adam replied, not taking his eyes off the runes. He may not have been an expert, but he certainly had been quite curious and learned a lot about this type of runes, so he had at least an understanding of them.

Pansy looked at him with a mix of hope and skepticism.

"Well, hurry up. I'm not staying trapped here forever"

Adam rolled his eyes but said nothing. A little voice in his head kept nagging him, like, 'Dude, you can't hit her... she's a woman!'

Also... deep down, he knew he needed to think fast. If they couldn't escape on their own, someone would eventually find them, and that would make things worse.

Lucius would be furious, and Narcissa wouldn't be thrilled either.

Finally, Adam decided to improvise.

While he couldn't use magic, he had enough knowledge about magical mechanisms to attempt manipulating the runes manually. Besides reading quite a lot about some of these, also he'd had fun tinkering with simpler mechanisms before.

"Pansy, can you grab those jars over there?" he asked, pointing to a nearby table.

Though reluctant, Pansy complied.

Together, they began experimenting with the runes and materials in the room, hoping to unlock the door.

They had no idea if it would work, but it was better than sitting around doing nothing.
