Chapter 81: [81] Mutant President Black King Shaw

Washington, D.C., White House

A supersonic plane landed slowly in front of the White House square.

The gathered news media, who had been tipped off in advance, were already prepared and waiting eagerly.

As the plane door opened, the X-Men stepped out one by one, their presence commanding the attention of the crowd.

Behind the X-Men were two bound Mutants. The unusual appearance of the Puffer Man immediately drew gasps, followed by an eruption of cheers.

"X-Men! Superheroes!"

The crowd's chants reverberated across the square.

The X-Men had just concluded their first operation against the Soviet Union and returned to America, bringing with them the only two captured Mutants from the mission.

Before returning, Brian had sent a video of the battle between the X-Men and the Soviet Mutants to America via a secure military satellite.

In truth, as soon as the confrontation began, Brian used his Psychokinesis to operate the most advanced video recorder provided by Raven, capturing the battle in detail.

While Brian wasn't an expert in videography, he knew enough to focus on showcasing the strength of the Soviet Mutants and the intense efforts of the X-Men during the battle.

Of course, the latter part of the mission—the aftermath of the battle—was intentionally omitted.

The people of America only needed to believe that the X-Men were fighting Black King Shaw's Mutants with unparalleled determination.

Once the video was transmitted to America, it went viral within minutes, becoming a sensation across the country.

Everyone now understood the hardships and dangers faced by the X-Men in their mission.

They also witnessed the extraordinary power of the enemy Mutants.

There was no doubt that the X-Men had ascended to the status of true superheroes in the hearts of the American people.

As the X-Men stepped out of the plane, they were greeted with a hero's welcome.

The cheers were deafening. Every member's superhero code name was chanted, and even the Siryn, who had struggled during the mission, gained a substantial number of fans.

"Welcome, superheroes. Welcome back safely,"

Raven, in her President form, greeted them warmly as she stood among a group of White House officials.

The surrounding news media went into a frenzy, taking countless photos.

Images of the President of the United States and the X-Men together were everywhere within an hour, spreading like wildfire across the globe.

Two hours later, after a flurry of interviews and photo sessions, the X-Men finally made their way into the President's Office.

Inside, Raven had shed her disguise, now in her Mystique form.

"Raven, what are you planning to do with the two Mutants?"

Professor X, ever the concerned leader, asked her as soon as they entered.

Raven gave Professor X a knowing glance, immediately understanding the source of his concern.

Professor X was worried that the American officials would slice the two Mutants for research.

"Don't worry, Charles. I've transferred the two Mutants to a safe house that only I know about," Raven explained casually.

Professor X immediately felt relieved.

While he had been decisive during the raid on the Soviet base, indiscriminate killing was not in his nature. The two captured Mutants no longer posed a threat to the X-Men, and Professor X's conscience made him worry about their well-being.

Hearing Raven's reassurance, Professor X nodded with a sense of relief.

Satisfied, he motioned for Magneto and the others to follow him out of the President's Office. They still needed to visit Sean Cassidy, who had been admitted to the hospital after sustaining injuries during the mission.

Brian, however, did not accompany the X-Men to the hospital. He had little concern for Siryn's condition.

What truly piqued his interest now was Sabastian Shaw's reaction.

The X-Men's raid on the Soviet base had not only thwarted Shaw's plans but had also resulted in the deaths of several Mutants he had painstakingly recruited.

'I'm sure Shaw will be furious,' Brian thought to himself, a smirk forming on his face.

'Who knows? Maybe Shaw will retaliate directly in New York.'

Snap.

Brian snapped his fingers gently.

The TV in the President's office turned on.

It was broadcasting the Soviet President's inauguration ceremony.

After the X-Men returned to America, the Soviet President's inauguration ceremony finally came to an end.

At this moment,

Red Square, Moscow.

Black King Shaw was delivering his presidential inauguration speech.

"The time for revolution has come.

The era of the Cold War is about to end.

I, Soviet President Sebastian Shaw, on behalf of the Soviet government, formally declare war on America."

Boom.

As soon as he became the president of the Soviet Union, the Black King announced that the Soviet Union would go to war with America.

Shaw's declaration shocked the world.

They were stunned by Shaw's audacity and madness.

Everyone now realized that the Third World War was comming.

The whole world fell into a panic of war because of Black Emperor Shaw's declaration.

Heads of state began to call Soviet President Black King Shaw.

However, these calls were ignored by Shaw.

After completing the presidential inauguration ceremony, Black Emperor Shaw was preparing to celebrate with the Mutants of the Hellfire Club with champagne.

In front of him, a ball of red mist appeared.

The Red Devil materialized before him.

"Shaw, the Baikal military base was attacked by the X-Men."

The Red Devil brought bad news to Black King Shaw.

Just moments ago, the Red Devil had gone to the Baikal military base to retrieve the Mutants stationed there.

However, as soon as he arrived, he saw the gruesome aftermath—the Mutants lay dead, scattered around the base.

Realizing what had occurred, the Red Devil knew immediately that the X-Men had invaded and struck.

"It's just an attack. As long as the Mutants are fine. And, Azazel, you should call me Mr. President."

The Black King brushed off the news nonchalantly.

To him, humans were insignificant, low-level creatures.

Only Mutants held true value and nobility in his eyes.

The lives of ordinary people mattered little to him.

"In fact, all the Mutants in the Baikal Base are dead," the Red Devil stated heavily, his words making Shaw's expression shift drastically.

"The X-Men killed our Mutants?" Shaw's face turned dark, his voice colder than ice.

"It seems so, Shaw," the Red Devil said cautiously, subtly stepping away from him. He could sense Shaw's overwhelming anger.

"Good, good, good. X-Men. Very good."

Shaw's eyes burned with fury, his expression hardening into something terrifyingly cold.

Previously, Shaw hadn't considered the X-Men much of a threat, despite them being fellow Mutants.

But now, after the X-Men had raided his military base and slaughtered the 10 Mutants he had painstakingly recruited, his tolerance had run dry.

How could Black Emperor Shaw let this stand?

"Azazel, gather the members of the Hellfire Club. We're going to kill the X-Men," Shaw commanded, his fury erupting.

"Shaw, calm down. We are only one step away from achieving our goal.

Compared to the X-Men, our focus should be on baptizing the world with nuclear bombs.

With the power of nuclear radiation, we can transform this world into a beautiful home for Mutants,"

Outside the Red Square, the sexy Angel flapped her wings and landed slowly.

Then she walked in front of Sabastian Shaw and comforted him.
