Chapter 20 Changes of Time

In the hundreds of years that followed only a few events happened. The land Simon and Marceline lived became know as the Ice Kingdom. Simon started to learn magic, collect books and other kinds of artifacts. One particular artifact he found was a book called 'Ninjas of the Ice: The Art of Fridjitzu'. Simon studied the illustrations and instructions in the book and was shocked to find out that he could do the techniques and create ninja weapons and do all kind of ninja ice techniques without the use of his crown. Simon studied the techniques and became quite skilled with them.

Marceline and Bubblegum hung out more and even attended a rock concert, where Marceline bought Bubblegum a T-shirt. The shirt was black with a yellow snake coiled around what seem to be two muddy Candy People heads on stakes. Bubblegum loved the shirt and thanked Marceline for it.

Marceline decided to follow her dream and creat a Rock band. She gather a vampire named Kelia, a shapeshifting creature, who took the form of a human man named Guy, and a ghost named Bongo, who could be seen and heard by living creatures. Marceline asked Bongo, how he was able to be seen and heard by living creatures, and he explained that Death was a huge fan of the drums and so Bongo challenged him to a drumming contest in exchange for the ability to be see and heard by living creatures. After a long drum battle Bongo won and Death granted him his request. That answer satisfied everybody and they formed a band called the Scream Queens and became a huge hit throughout the land, which was now being called Ooo.

There were a few misshapes in the Candy Kingdom. First Bubblegum tried to create an army of Candy People called Banana Guards to protect her kingdom, but they proved to be incredibly incompetent. Later Bubblegum created an army of gumball machine like robots to police her kingdom, the robots were good protectors, however they proved to be a little to violent, so Bubblegum had them dismantled, however one robot named Rattleballs escaped into a junkyard and dedicated his life to becoming a great sword fighter and a better protector for the Candy Kingdom.

Another incident involve Bubblegum trying to create an heir for her kingdom using lemons. She created a creature called Lemongrab. The new creature proved to be violent, unfriendly, and obnoxious. Bubblegum had a castle built for Lemongrab and had him moved faraway with a few well paid servants to raise him and keep him company.

The land of Ooo was threatened by the Lich at one point, who attempted to spread his corruption through the Candy Kingdom. This time however a great hero named Billy stood in the Lich's way. Billy armed with a magic item know as the Gauntlet of the Hero attacked the Lich's tower along with a troop of Candy People. A fierce battle was waged. In the battle the tower was destroyed, and the Lich lost a horn and was imprisoned in a sphere of Amber and locked away in dark chamber in the Candy Kingdom palace.

From the shadows Crimson and Alister the Vampire King watched the battle. Alister adjusted a white mask that covered the right side of his face.

"Your so called master is weak. Already he has been bested by the people of this world and he's been imprisoned. How can he claim to have a plan to conquer the universe, if he can't conquer this world? I should go get my revenge and conquer this world, while that foolish master spends his time frozen in amber." Said Alister.

"Patients Vampire King. There is more to this then meets the eye. The Lich can not be killed, he's just biding his time and waiting for the opportunity to strike, when they less suspect it. Trust me the master has a plan. It may not look like it, but his been planning something big for centuries. It will pay off and the universe will be ours and we will rule like kings." Said Crimson.

"Very well I'll wait a little more, but you had better be right, for if you have lied to me I will drain every drop of life out of you." Said Alister.

"Oh trust me the wait will be worth it." Said Crimson.

The two villains retreated to a hidden underground lair.

All over Ooo new creatures and lifeforms were being born and began creating cities. Two particular societies were a race of intelligent dogs and a race of unicorn creatures with rainbow patterns of colors down their body called Rainicorns who spoke Korean and several other languages.

Little did the inhabitants of Ooo know that the dogs and Rainicorns would wage a Great War with one another.

It started with a mistake and a argument. A dog was walking through a forest, when he spotted something long and white sticking out of a bush. Curious to what it was the dog sniffed it and then to begin chewing on it. There was a scream and a Rainicorn stuck it's head out of the bush, revealing that the thing the dog of chewing was it's horn!

"Whoa sorry!" Cried the dog.

The Rainicorn shouted angrily in Korean. The dog only knew a little Korean, but he knew he was being insulted.

"Hey calm down you rainbow butt freak! I said I was sorry! Sheesh!" Shouted the dog.

The Rainicorn poked the dog in the shoulder with it's horn cutting him a little. The dog yelped in pain and glared at the Rainicorn and jumped on him and wrestled him to the ground. The two animals tossed and turned on the ground trying to get on the other, finally the dog ended up on top and he grabbed the Rainicorn's horn and gave a big yank.

CRACK!

The horn snapped clean off and ended up in the dog's hands. The dog stared at the horn in shock. The Rainicorn had a mix look of anger and pain on his face.

"Um...sorry." Said the dog as he handed the horn back to the Rainicorn.

The Rainicorn lifted his head up and let out a loud bellow. A few seconds later over a dozen Rainicorns showed up and gave the dog death glares. The dog gulped in fear and ran screaming for his life, with the angry Rainicorns chasing after him firing colorful beams of energy at him. The dog managed to make it to his home and his friends and family quickly came to his aid.

The Rainicorns demanded that the dog be handed over to them for punishment. The leader of the dogs, who happened to be the accused dog's father refused. This made the Rainicorns angry and they began to attack the dogs. The dogs retaliated and managed to chase the Rainicorns off. It seemed like the fight was over, but a war was brewing around the corner.

A few years later both the dogs and the Rainicorns had their eyes set on some territory in a another dimension know as the Crystal Dimension. When they found out the other side wanted it they grew angry and started to attack one another in Ooo. The conflicts grew so bad that it became a full fledged war that was know as Rainicorn-Dog Wars.

At first the Rainicorns had the advantage because they could fly, but then the dogs got their hands on some flying saucers and the fight was evenly matched. The war went on for a few years both sides taking heavy casualties. Word of the war spread like wildfire all over Ooo. It eventually reached the ears of Simon, who decided to step in and put an end to the war.

Both dogs and Rainicorn gathered their forces for a finally charge. They raced towards one another, but before they could clash with one another a giant snows storm came in and forced both sides to stop in their tracks and land on the ground.

"That's enough fighting." Said a voice.

Everybody looked up to see Simon floating above them. Both sides stared in awe at the powerful being descended to the ground between them.

"My name is Simon Petrikov and I have come to stop this senseless violence. I know of your races past and I know your grievances with one another, but war is not the answer to your problems. I've witness war firsthand and trust me it wasn't pretty! I saw men, women, and children perish horrible before me because of war. I was there when the humans exterminated one another with their deadly weapons and create mushroom clouds of death! You want to know how it happened? It happened when the humans declared war upon one another! War only leads to death and destruction." Said Simon.

The dogs and Rainicorns took Simon's words in and they looked at each other.

"You are both intelligent creatures, heed my warning and don't go to war with one another. This a brand new world that's just now slowly begun to heal itself from the foolishness of one war. Do you want to risk putting everything back into ruin. It would be unfair to all the other creatures and people if you continued to fight and wreck the land. You need to make peace with one another not war." Said Simon.

Both dogs and Rainicorns looked at Simon then at the ground in shame. Finally the leader of the dogs and the leader of the Rainicorns stepped forward and shook paw and hoof. Simon smiled and nodded with approval. A day later a peace conference was held between the dogs and Rainicorns and a peace treaty overseen by Simon was written up. Marceline and the Scream Queens provided entertainment for the two armies. There was still some tension and uneasiness between some of the dogs and Rainicorns, but both majorities were at peace with one another.

News of Simon ending a the Rainicorn-Dog Wars spread throughout Ooo. Simon was considered and hero and wise sage. Simon was also regarded as being the strongest and most powerful wizard in Ooo. Word of Simon exploits eventually reached the ears of the current Flame King and Queen.

The current Flame King was a monstrous and powerful being, who wore a copper armor suit, carved with rhombus-shaped red gems in the collar with a pentagon-shaped one in the chest. The limb pieces of his armor had horizontal stripes with copper and brown colors, he had hand-shaped flames for hands. The Flame King's head resembled a giant fireball inside the armor, and three holes in the flames that form the eyes and the mouth. He had a crown with five tips and a red gem in the middle.

The current Flame Queen was more humanoid then her husband. She has light yellow skin, with red flames for hair. She was dressed in a long red dress with a high red color that that had a foam pattern. Around her neck was a neckless with a red gem and on top of her head was a gold tiara with a flame patter and a rhombus red jewel in it.

The Flame King was board and he wanted to destroy something and show the superiority and might of the Fire Kingdom. When he got word of Simon's exploits and heard that he was considered one of the strongest wizards in Ooo, the Flame King got an idea.

"My Queen let us gather our forces and march to the Ice Kingdom and conquer it! I shall show the might of the Fire Kingdom by defeating this Simon! Then all throughout the land shall tremble at our names!" Declared Flame King.

"At once my King." Said Flame Queen.

Soon the Flame King and Queen marched out of their kingdom leading a small army of Fire People as they headed towards the Ice Kingdom to do battle.
