After Being Reborn, I Refuse To Be The Holy Son Of The Sect Anymore

Chapter 117:

Chapter 117:

Xiao Yang hadn’t expected Jiang Ting and her group to arrive in Tianshui City, but he quickly realized why they were there. Tianshui City was a necessary stop on the way to the Heavenly Medical Sect.

“Senior Brother, who is she? Why was she hugging you? What’s your relationship with her?” Jiang Ting stared intently at Ning Shu, her fists clenched tightly.

“So that’s it! No wonder Senior Brother has been so cold to Junior Sister lately. Turns out he already has someone new!” Qin Fei stepped forward, his tone dripping with mockery. He was always trying to drive a wedge between Xiao Yang and Jiang Ting. If Xiao Yang and Jiang Ting had a complete fallout, it would give Qin Fei the chance to rise to prominence.

Qin Fei had been biding his time in the Azure Sun Sword Sect for ten years, waiting for the right moment. He no longer wanted to wait. With his innate Dao Body and the trust he’d earned from many fellow disciples over the years—especially from Jiang Ting—he believed it was time to strike. That’s why he’d begun framing and slandering Xiao Yang.

But to Xiao Yang, who had lived a second life, Qin Fei was nothing more than a clown.

“Senior Brother, is this why your attitude toward me has changed so much? Is it because of her?” Jiang Ting demanded angrily, pointing at Ning Shu.

“Think whatever you want,” Xiao Yang replied indifferently, not bothering to explain.

Jiang Ting didn’t trust him anyway. If she had given it any thought, she would have realized that he hadn’t left the mountain for the past two or three years. How could he have met Ning Shu, the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Medical Sect?

Her immediate accusations only showed that she didn’t care about him or pay attention to him at all. After all, Jiang Ting’s mind was entirely preoccupied with Qin Fei. When had she ever cared about Xiao Yang?

“Senior Brother, how could you betray Junior Sister like this?” Qin Fei pretended to be outraged, acting as if he were standing up for Jiang Ting.

“Shut your mouth!” Xiao Yang’s sharp glare turned to Qin Fei.

“What are you going to do? Hit Junior Brother again?” Jiang Ting immediately stepped in front of Qin Fei, shouting at Xiao Yang.

Xiao Yang couldn’t help but feel pity for his former self. Back then, he had humbled himself for Jiang Ting, only to be met with disdain, reprimands, and baseless accusations.

“And who is she?” Ning Shu asked, glancing at Jiang Ting. She could feel the hostility directed at her.

“An irrelevant person,” Xiao Yang replied nonchalantly.

“Irrelevant? Senior Brother, how can you say that about me?” Jiang Ting’s voice trembled with hurt.

“Senior Brother, Junior Sister has always been so devoted to you, and you dare say such a thing? Do you even have a heart?” Qin Fei exclaimed indignantly.

“You’re a grown man hiding behind a woman. I feel second-hand embarrassment for you,” Xiao Yang retorted coldly.

“You—!” Qin Fei was at a loss for words.

“Oh, wait. You’re not even a man anymore, are you, Junior Brother?” Xiao Yang sneered.

“You—” Qin Fei nearly choked with rage. If it weren’t for Xiao Yang, he wouldn’t have become a eunuch. He wished he could tear Xiao Yang to pieces, but there was nothing he could do.

Xiao Yang smirked at Qin Fei, thoroughly enjoying his frustration. This time around, there was no way he would let Qin Fei have the upper hand.

“Senior Brother, what exactly is your relationship with her?” Jiang Ting asked again, her eyes brimming with tears. She couldn’t accept the idea of Xiao Yang liking someone else. Xiao Yang understood her mindset all too well—it wasn’t about love but about her dislike of losing what she considered hers.

“Enough. She is the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Medical Sect and has no special relationship with this man,” Tang Chen interjected with a dark expression. Watching Jiang Ting repeatedly target Ning Shu had thoroughly annoyed him.

“What?” Jiang Ting and Qin Fei were taken aback. They hadn’t expected the veiled, ethereal woman to be the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Medical Sect.

“So she’s the Heavenly Medical Sect’s Holy Maiden? Jiang Ting, show some respect!” The Elder responsible for passing on knowledge stepped forward, saluting Ning Shu and chastising Jiang Ting.

“She’s really the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Medical Sect?” Jiang Ting and Qin Fei were left speechless. They had come to the Heavenly Medical Sect seeking medical treatment, yet they had just offended its Holy Maiden.

Jiang Ting let out a sigh of relief but quickly grew worried about Qin Fei. If the Holy Maiden refused to treat Qin Fei and Han Bin because of this, what would they do? Han Bin, injured by remnants of the Demonic Sect in Blackwind City, had all his meridians severed. Without timely treatment, he would become a cripple.

“Tang Chen, hand over the Heaven-Mending Pill!” Xiao Yang suddenly spoke, breaking the awkward silence.

“…” Tang Chen looked utterly dejected.

“A bet is a bet. What? Are you planning to renege?” Xiao Yang sneered.

“Fine,” Tang Chen hesitated. Losing the bet would ruin his reputation within the Heavenly Medical Sect, especially in front of Ning Shu, whom he admired. But handing over the pill was a heavy loss.

“If you’re unwilling to give up the Heaven-Mending Pill, I have an alternative,” Xiao Yang said with a smirk.

“What is it?” Tang Chen’s eyes lit up, eager for a way out.

Xiao Yang spread his legs and gestured mockingly. “Crawl between my legs, and I’ll let you keep it.”

“You—!” Tang Chen’s face flushed with fury.

“How dare you insult a disciple of the Heavenly Medical Sect!”
“Unforgivable!”

The other disciples erupted in outrage.

“Holy Son, what are you doing?” the Elder from the Azure Sun Sword Sect scolded Xiao Yang gravely. They needed the Heavenly Medical Sect’s help; offending them now would only make things worse.

“This was a fair bet. If I saved the city, Tang Chen agreed to give me the Heaven-Mending Pill. I fulfilled my part of the deal, so why shouldn’t he honor his?” Xiao Yang replied calmly.

“Is this true?” The Elder turned to Tang Chen, shocked. Xiao Yang had saved the entire city? Was he secretly skilled in medicine?

Jiang Ting, too, was in disbelief. She knew Xiao Yang better than anyone—or so she thought. How could someone with no medical training cure an entire city?

When the Elder and the others entered Tianshui City, they noticed a large formation preventing anyone from leaving. Reluctantly, they proceeded, only to stumble upon the shocking scene of Xiao Yang and a veiled woman embracing. From their perspective, it had been an intimate moment, and Jiang Ting had reacted explosively.

Now, learning that the woman was the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Medical Sect, Jiang Ting had calmed down. After all, there was no precedent for a Holy Maiden marrying.

“Reluctant to part with the Heaven-Mending Pill? Then crawl!” Xiao Yang taunted, gesturing again.

Tang Chen’s face twisted in humiliation. Ultimately, he pulled out the jade bottle containing the Heaven-Mending Pill and tossed it to Xiao Yang with visible reluctance. Crawling under Xiao Yang’s legs would have been worse than death.

Xiao Yang caught the bottle and smirked. The Heaven-Mending Pill was his now.

“Senior Brother, can you give me that Heaven-Mending Pill?” Jiang Ting suddenly stepped forward, her gaze fixed on the jade bottle in Xiao Yang’s hand.

“For you?” Xiao Yang asked, glancing at her, then at Qin Fei, whose eyes gleamed with expectation.

Xiao Yang’s lips curled into a cold smile.

Jiang Ting wanted the pill for Qin Fei, of course. In his past life, anything he gave Jiang Ting would eventually end up with Qin Fei.

“No,” Xiao Yang said bluntly.

“Senior Brother, I truly need this pill,” Jiang Ting pleaded.

“Do you need it, or does Qin Fei need it?” Xiao Yang sneered.

“Senior Brother, Junior Brother was injured. Don’t you think you should compensate him?” Jiang Ting accused.

“Not this nonsense again…” Xiao Yang’s patience wore thin.

“Senior Brother, don’t trouble yourself for me. Don’t let me burden you,” Qin Fei interjected, feigning pain and concern.

“Cut the act,” Xiao Yang snapped. “Even if I were to give this Heaven-Mending Pill to a dog, I wouldn’t give it to either of you.”

With that, Xiao Yang turned and began walking away.

“Senior Brother! If you don’t give me that pill, I—” Jiang Ting called after him, trying to threaten him.

Xiao Yang spun around and fixed her with a cold glare. “Junior Sister, what can you possibly threaten me with this time?”
