After Being Reborn, I Refuse To Be The Holy Son Of The Sect Anymore

Chapter 119:

Chapter 119:

Li Kuang suddenly launched an attack, catching Xiao Yang completely off guard. The terrifying killing intent engulfed Xiao Yang and his companions, Lin Wangchuan and Song Qiang, who were both struck with fear.

“Get out of the way!” Xiao Yang wasted no time, pushing Lin Wangchuan and Song Qiang aside with force. They flew toward the sides of the street, crashing into walls and tumbling into the rubble, unconscious from the impact.

At the same time, Xiao Yang spun around. A violent gust of wind surged toward him, carrying the overwhelming force of a mountainous punch aimed directly at his face. Without hesitation, Xiao Yang clenched his right fist, channeling the power of the Fire Qilin Arm. Flames erupted from his arm as he swung a punch to meet the attack head-on.

“BOOM!”
The clash of fists created a deafening explosion. The surrounding air rippled, sending transparent waves through space. The intense energy erupted outward, shaking the surroundings. The sheer force sent Lin Wangchuan and Song Qiang flying even farther, crashing through several buildings before collapsing into silence among the ruins.

Xiao Yang was forced several feet back. His feet carved deep trenches into the stone-paved street as he struggled to regain his balance.

“The power of the Fire Qilin… it’s you,” Li Kuang muttered, staring at Xiao Yang in shock. He finally realized the truth—the mysterious Sword Saint he had feared was none other than Xiao Yang himself.

Li Kuang couldn’t believe it. How could this young man possibly be the legendary Sword Saint? The notion was preposterous. To achieve the Saint Martial Realm at such a young age was unheard of, even across the vast Yuanwu Continent. Not even the most gifted prodigies from the Central Lands could claim such an accomplishment. The Saint Martial Realm was the pinnacle, a realm where those beneath it were mere ants. The difficulty of reaching such a level was unimaginable.

“Impossible…” Li Kuang growled in disbelief.

“And why not?” Xiao Yang smiled faintly. He reached into his robe and retrieved the golden dragon-patterned mask. Before Li Kuang’s eyes, he donned the mask. The moment it was in place, his aura transformed, exuding an undeniable majesty.

“You…” Li Kuang was utterly stunned.

Xiao Yang raised his right fist, and flames surged from his arm. Within the fire, the shadow of a fierce beast loomed. Utilizing the ancient beast-taming art, Xiao Yang could easily channel the power of the Fire Qilin housed in his arm. The air around him grew intensely hot, causing the temperature to skyrocket.

“Excellent. The Lunar Dragon Pearl must be on you. Fate truly favors me. If I kill you, the pearl will be mine!” Li Kuang sneered, preparing to strike again.

But before he could move, a shadow descended from the sky, attacking him with a chilling frost. A terrifying cold aura swept across the ground, instantly freezing it over with a layer of ice. Li Kuang leaped back in retreat.

“BOOM!”
A massive silver python landed where Li Kuang had just stood. The Ice Phantom Python’s presence sent frost spreading rapidly in all directions, covering nearby buildings in ice within moments.

At the same time, Xiao Yang’s right arm trembled as a beastly roar echoed. A flaming shadow burst from his arm, landing beside him. The fiery beast was none other than the Fire Qilin.

The oppressive auras of the two ninth-tier spirit beasts rippled through the city, drawing everyone’s attention. The Transmission Elder, Jiang Ting, Qin Fei, and the others raced toward the commotion. Ning Shu and her disciples from the Heavenly Medical Sect appeared on a nearby rooftop.

“The Fire Qilin… and the Ice Phantom Python…” The onlookers were stunned by the sight of the two mighty beasts.

When the Transmission Elder and the Azure Sun Sword Sect disciples caught sight of the demon standing on the street, they were filled with rage. This was the same demonic cultist who had tormented Qin Fei.

“It’s Li Kuang,” the Transmission Elder said gravely.

“Everyone, do not act rashly!” he commanded, fearing the younger disciples like Jiang Ting or Lei Ranjie might charge recklessly at the dangerous foe. Li Kuang wasn’t an ordinary demon. Even the Transmission Elder was no match for him.

Meanwhile, Qin Fei was both anxious and excited. Li Kuang was his uncle, the man who had saved him from his jealous half-brothers and given him the chance to infiltrate the northern sects.

Seeing his uncle alive filled him with relief. But when he looked at the two spirit beasts and the masked figure standing before them, his hope dimmed. He mistook Xiao Yang, now wearing the dragon-patterned mask, as the true Sword Saint. How could his uncle stand a chance against the Sword Saint?

Xiao Yang raised his hand, signaling the two spirit beasts to attack. With ferocious growls, the Fire Qilin and Ice Phantom Python charged at Li Kuang.

“Insolent beasts, you court death!” Li Kuang roared. Blood-red sword energy appeared around him, radiating deadly intent. Nine blood-colored blade shadows materialized in the air and slashed at the oncoming beasts.

The Fire Qilin retaliated with a massive fireball. The blazing heat distorted the air, and the fireball clashed with the blade shadows, exploding in a burst of flames and scattering the attack. The Ice Phantom Python unleashed a chilling breath, freezing the remaining blade shadows and shattering them upon impact.

“What?!” Li Kuang was stunned. He hadn’t anticipated the beasts to be this powerful.

The Fire Qilin lunged at him, flames roaring. Li Kuang retreated hastily as the beast’s fiery aura scorched the ground he had just stood on.

Meanwhile, Xiao Yang focused his sword intent, locking onto Li Kuang. Twelve layers of sword intent radiated from him, gathered at his brow, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

Li Kuang felt a chilling premonition of death. He tried to flee, only to find his path blocked by the two spirit beasts. Trapped in the narrow street, with Xiao Yang’s overwhelming presence bearing down on him and the city sealed by the Heaven-Locking Divine Fire Formation, Li Kuang was cornered.

The spirit beasts and Li Kuang clashed violently, their battle leaving destruction in its wake. Xiao Yang approached, his presence imposing and undeniable. Everyone watching believed he was the legendary Sword Saint.

Qin Fei’s heart pounded. If the Sword Saint struck, his uncle would be doomed.

“BOOM!”
Li Kuang managed to repel the Fire Qilin with a powerful blow, using the momentum to launch himself skyward in an attempt to escape.

“Buzz!”
A sharp sword hum resonated through the heavens. Xiao Yang made his move.

“With one sword, I defy the heavens and subdue the world…” Xiao Yang’s voice echoed as he ascended into the sky. He raised his hand, forming a sword with his fingers, and slashed.

The world seemed to freeze. Time, space, and all things stood still. The onlookers couldn’t find the words to describe the majesty of this strike. The sword seemed effortless, yet it carried profound power. In that moment, it became the sole existence in the universe, and Xiao Yang stood as its master.
