Chapter 100: Brother Vs Sister
Eliana's threat made an almost palpable tension pierce the space of the training room.
However, Rain only laughed happily.
"Alright, alright, I appreciate your fighting spirit, sister. So I'll even make things easier for you and tell you in advance what my wish for victory will be."
"..."
"Obey me in everything for the next month. That's all."
The grip on her long rapier grew tighter at those words, and her gaze was ready to pierce him.
"Now, if you don't mind, let's get started."
Rain took the first step forward, then abruptly lunged at her.
The training room became the stage for a deadly dance, a brutal waltz dictated by the clang of steel.
Rain, wielding his black, slightly curved sword, moved with a predatory grace that belied his raw power.
Her graceful rapier pierced through the space with lightning-fast mastery. However, his blade easily met her rapier, deflecting it aside. Find more chapters on My Virtual Library Empire
Eliana's eyes twitched.
Her long rapier flickered like lightning in a desperate attempt to intercept the fierce arc of Rain's blade. She danced, stepping back, her every step calculated, her movements efficient.
Eliana soon realized that she could not match his strength, and could not hope to overpower him. Her only chance was to anticipate, to adapt, to become a mirror reflecting his aggression. But the pressure was immense.
However, even when she opened up under his pressure, exposing her vulnerabilities, he was in no hurry to end the match, as if to indicate that he didn't need to.
'If I overpower her by using such randomness, not much will change about her.'
His goal was something else. To show her who she was fighting against.
There was no more beautiful swordsmanship here.
Rain had given up everything: his sword techniques, his ability to control gravity, all the cunning tactics he had, leaving only wild brute strength and honed beast-like instincts.
Each block vibrated up her arm, a stinging reminder of the brute force she was facing.
All it took was one slight movement of his hand, one broad swing of his sword, for her to be hurt and the duel was instantly over.
But he didn't.
It was as if he was only aiming to overwhelm her with his power, unwilling to harm her.
He set the pace, his relentless rhythm of thrusts and parries that forced Eliana onto the defensive. He was a conductor of destruction, and she, his unwilling instrument.
The sounds of colliding steel rippled through the space.
Rain pressed his advantage. He made a feint, deflecting Eliana's rapier, then lunged with his arm, aiming for her legs. She reacted instantly, sidestepping the blow with a grace that surprised even him.
He grinned with a flash of teeth in the harsh light.
She was good, damn good. But good wasn't enough.
He changed his attack, adding even more wild, raw power to them. Each swing of his sword was a thunderclap, each parry a bone-shaking impact.
It was as if he wanted to break her, wear her down, make her yield.
Eliana, her face pale but resolute, continued to parry, to deflect, to survive.
But the effort was taking its toll. Her breathing became ragged, her movements less precise. Rain could see the fatigue in her eyes and the subtle tremor in her grip.
In an instant, she found an opportunity and made a quick lunge in his direction, only to realize to her horror that she could no longer move her rapier a millimeter.
Her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the tip of her rapier clutched in his bare hand.
Before a couple drops of blood fell from his clenched fist, staining the training room floor, his other hand grabbed her by her thin clothing and brought her down, pinning her firmly to the ground.
It was a dominant position, a position in which the winner and loser were clearly defined.
No matter how much she tried to flutter helplessly, the tip of her rapier was still clutched tightly in his hand, and her body was still pressed tightly against his weight, refusing to move.
When someone was in such a vulnerable position, it could be considered their end.
Eliana gradually stopped fluttering. At the same time, a harsh realization of reality slowly began to come to her.
The savage indomitable strength and beast-like instincts she had fully felt during their fight were not something that could be faked.
As if the cruel reality mocked her, from the very beginning of the duel Rain had been leading her and setting the pace, and all she had to do was manage to adjust to him so as not to be crushed by his savage pressure.
She had to admit it.
She... lost.
She was lying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling of the training room.
She had accepted it. And it was… surprisingly easy?
As if seeing the natural difference between them, she acknowledged it.
Martial arts played no role here, and neither did sword fighting.
It wasn't the level of logic, it was the level of the male, the level of animal instincts telling which of them was stronger.
The natural difference between a losing female and a winning male.
Eliana felt broken, helpless… and defeated.
That's a shame.
She felt cold at the realization of how pathetically she had lost.
Soon she gathered herself and stood up.
Her face was pale and her eyes had lost some of their light. Obviously, she had learned a lot about her brother Rain from this duel.
However, even after realizing all this, she didn't apologize.
Eliana just stared at him with her lips tightly pressed together.
Rain smiled. He was genuinely glad she hadn't apologized.
She wouldn't be the Eliana he knew, the one he wanted to subdue, had she done the opposite.
'At the very least, I still have respect for that part of her.'
Part that will only be a fleeting memory in the future.
When her worldview was shaken and her pride was at its most vulnerable, he acted.
"Eliana. Come here."
She obediently approached slowly.
She had already seen what he was capable of. Did she have a choice now?
"Lick it."
He held out his hand to her, along which a trickle of blood from her rapier was still slowly dripping.
Eliana stared at it as if thinking about something. Then she took his hand in hers and quietly licked it.
Feeling her hot tongue on his palm, Rain revealed a satisfied smile.
"Well done, Eliana."
...!
His lips connected with hers, pulling her into a kiss.
Her tongue, usually spewing insults so boldly, was now unexpectedly timid and soft, yielding completely under his pressure.
Churp~
The taste of his salty blood was still in her mouth, not completely dissolved in her saliva. As he kissed her delicate tongue skillfully, he tasted the slightly iron flavor of his own blood.
Eliana reflexively closed her eyes, succumbing to the moment.
But that sweet moment was interrupted when he bit her tongue.
...!
The taste of their blood mingled in their mouths. Her eyes cleared, and with that, her consciousness returned to normal.
"You've become quite the obedient little sister, haven't you?"
...!
After everything she'd said and done, he couldn't let her give up so easily in a moment of momentary weakness. Even if she did now, as soon as she came to her senses, she'd start denying everything around her again.
It wasn't meant to be a moment of weakness, he wanted her to be fully aware of everything that was happening to her and eventually give herself to him of her own free will.
Wiping the blood from his lips, Rain grinned devilishly, looking into her trembling pupils, and spoke in a sinful tone.
"Shall we begin, my sister?"
