Three hundred li south of Jiu Chi City,

there lay a place known as Descending Dragon Slope.

When mentioning his father, a complex light flashed across Chi Xing's eyes.

"This name, Descending Dragon Slope, is unpleasant to the ear," Chi Xing stated indifferently, "From now on, it shall be known as Ascending Dragon Slope."

"Yes, Lord Xing," the Chi Family Patriarch of Jiu Chi City replied respectfully.

What the place was called didn't matter.

As long as Lord Xing was happy.

"But I think the name Descending Dragon Slope is quite nice," a voice came from the side.

Chi Xing's expression darkened, and a flash of the unexpected passed through his eyes.

The Chi Family Patriarch was even more furious, looking towards the direction of the voice with a grim expression as if more enraged than Chi Xing himself, "?You cur! Who is it, seeking death?"

"Heh."

From the far end of a hill came a chuckle. A man was squatting atop a tree branch, uncorking a bottle of wine and slowly pouring it onto the ground.

"I've waited for this day for a whole six hundred years, a full six hundred years," the man muttered to himself.

"Finally, at last, you've emerged from that tortoise shell of yours," the man said, lifting his head and grabbing his face, tearing it off to reveal an aged visage with sharp black pupils.

"You are..." Chi Xing narrowed his eyes.

"I am just an inconsequential entry in your book of feats; it's quite normal for you to have forgotten," Gu Yuzhi stood up from the tree. "The two million souls of Iron Rock Pass have reached the day of their vengeance."

"I remember now, you didn't die?" Chi Xing finally found the memory corresponding to the man before him.

He couldn't help but snicker, "And here I thought it was someone of significance. Turned out to be merely an old defeated foe from the past."

"What's so bad about escaping with your life? Yet you had to show up again, seeking another death," Chi Xing's smile carried a hint of ferocity, "There have been innumerable enemies defeated by my hand, you're merely one grain in a sea of sand. Back then, your Beast Taming died by my hand, are you prepared to offer up another life to me now?"

As his words fell, a jet of Dragon Breath blasted forth from the Giant Dragon beneath him.

The scorching Dragon Breath cleaved through everything in its path, turning the earth into a sea of molten lava.

"Boom!"

A colossal figure, akin to a mountainous shield, stood steadfast before Chi Xing, firmly protecting him from behind.

The Dragon Breath hit the tough shield wall, ineffectively scattering in all directions.

It was a Beast Taming resembling an Earth Attribute, but unlike typical Earth Elementals, it stood a full forty meters tall. Its arms extended forward, unfurling into two massive, triangular shields, ancient and weighty, glinting with a dark golden sheen.

Hidden beneath a thick helmet, its eyes were as still as ancient wells, firm as unwavering stones.

"Shield of Bi Mountain," a glint of surprise flashed in the eyes of the Chi Family Patriarch.

"This is the hereditary Beast Taming of Stone City, which was lost three hundred years ago. How did you manage to obtain it?"

As he spoke, the Chi Family Patriarch too summoned his Beast Taming.

It was a Scarlet Patterned Flame Dragon, but in terms of aura, it was far inferior to Chi Xing's own.

"A pinnacle of Transcendence that has grasped a law? Quite impressive," Chi Xing saw through some hints. The aura of this Shield of Bi Mountain was extremely terrifying, even vaguely revealing the aura of laws.

This Shield of Bi Mountain had grasped a law, qualifying as almost an Ascension.

This bat was a Winds Element transcending the Nineth Layers.

Wind fuels the fire; it formed the perfect synergy with the Flame-Patterned Giant Dragon.

The other Beast Taming was a One-Legged Thunder Ox, its back adorned with intricate thunder patterns.

Every move it made emitted rumbling thunder sounds, as if carrying a large drum in its belly.

And the aura emanating from this Beast Taming was no weaker than the Flame-Patterned Giant Dragon's.

It too was a Thunder Element transcending the Tenth Layers!

A flicker of surprise crossed the eyes of the Chi Family Patriarch; before this, no one knew that Chi Xing possessed another pinnacle Transcendence Thunder Element Beast Taming.

Lord Xing had kept it well hidden.

Everyone knew his main Beast Taming was a Fire Element Flame-Patterned Giant Dragon.

And the counter to the Fire Element was the Water Element.

The best method to counter Lord Xing would be Attribute restraint.
