All Of The Worlds Will Be Mine

Chapter 12: dear bad luck let's break up

"Fortunately, that dumb woman… never knew what she was doing."

Isshiki Ōtsutsuki chuckled quietly to himself as he stood on the edge of a crumbling cliff, a light breeze tugging at the tattered hem of his robe. He stared off into the horizon, eyes golden and cold, the corners of his mouth curled with dry amusement.

"She even created two Ōtsutsuki using her own power… and they betrayed her."

The memory still brought him satisfaction.

When Isshiki had first heard the news—a whisper carried through time and informants scattered across dimensions—he hadn't been able to contain his glee. He had thrown his head back and shouted to the skies.

"There really is justice in this cursed universe!" he had roared.

The irony still tickled him.

Kaguya, foolish as ever, had stumbled into power and prestige only to be stabbed in the back by her own creations. If she had any intelligence at all, she would have simply remained quiet, trained in secret, and consumed more chakra fruits from Earth—this fertile, ripened planet. If she had done that…

…she might have become invincible.

Isshiki clenched his jaw.

Then I'd already be dead.

Thankfully, she had been just intelligent enough to start, but far too stupid to finish the job. Thanks to that one mistake—thanks to that one betrayal—Isshiki had survived. Barely. Pathetically. But survived.

For a thousand years now, he had been wandering this backwater rock.

Trapped.

Cursed.

With the power he currently possessed, he couldn't even leave the planet, let alone challenge his enemies across the stars. And even if he somehow did escape Earth… he knew what would happen.

They'd descend on him like wolves.

He'd be devoured before he could blink.

No doubt.

No mercy.

No escape.

So he walked.

For a millennium, he had walked this world—hiding, studying, waiting. Searching. Always searching.

And today…

Today, the end of his curse had finally come.

There, in the distance. In the middle of a peaceful, grassy training field—

A red-haired child.

So small. So human. And yet…

His body…

Isshiki's instincts—finely honed over centuries of conquest and survival—screamed at him with unnatural clarity.

That body… is perfect.

He didn't know why. He didn't care why.

His soul practically vibrated with anticipation. There was no doubt in his mind. This child's body wasn't just compatible—it was better. Somehow, impossibly, it was perfect. A vessel not only capable of handling his power, but maybe even enhancing it.

It was unheard of.

In all his travels, in all his battles across galaxies, Isshiki had never encountered a phenomenon like this. Never even heard of it.

The very idea of growing stronger after taking over a lower creature's body was… blasphemy.

Yet here it was.

Right in front of him.

He narrowed his eyes slightly. Though he wasn't proficient in Shinjutsu like the legendary Ten Directions, he had dabbled in it. Enough to trust his own senses when they spoke to him with such certainty.

But logic didn't matter now.

This wasn't about facts.

This was about opportunity.

And he was done waiting.

His chakra reserves were low—painfully so. He had never expected anything significant today. Just another meaningless stroll through another worthless forest. He hadn't even bothered carrying excess energy with him.

But even so…

It doesn't matter.

He would take that body.

Today.

And finally—finally—he would rise again.

He turned his gaze to the side.

A man stood near the child. Red hair, older, battle-worn.

Skilled, Isshiki noted instantly. Probably what this world calls a "Kage" level by people in this planet.

Not a problem.

He'd crushed hundreds of them in this countless years.

One more wouldn't change anything.

And even if the man resisted, what could he possibly do? Over the past thousand years, humanity had developed dozens of tricks, techniques, and sealing arts. Some of them were dangerous. Very dangerous, but everything is child play for being like himself.

But his mind told him to be cautious him, But none of that mattered, because.

His impatience had finally surpassed his caution.

The endless waiting, the wandering, the taste of humiliation and loss—all of it ended now.

With calm, purposeful steps, Isshiki began to walk forward.

Each footstep carried the weight of his past and the hunger for his future.

The wind shifted around him.

He was smiling.

....

On the Other Side of the Field…

"…That guy," Renji muttered, narrowing his eyes.

His senses had been off all morning.

It had started with that strange pulse. That moment of dizziness. That unexplainable surge of dread that had settled deep in his bones earlier. And now—

Now, a man he had never seen before was walking directly toward them.

From the forest's edge.

Calm. Unhurried.

Too calm.

Renji's gut twisted.

The man radiated something that didn't match any chakra signature he'd ever encountered—not in his life. It wasn't just unfamiliar. It was wrong.

Off.

Elric was still laughing, oblivious, jogging in circles and trying to balance a stone on his forehead for no apparent reason.

But Renji's smile had vanished completely.

His eyes locked onto the approaching stranger.

His heart began to pound again.

That feeling was back.

Worse than before.

Something's coming, he thought. Something I'm not ready for.

He didn't know who the man was.

But every cell in his body screamed the same word.

Danger.
