Almighty Balance Breaker

Chapter 6: Chapter 2: A Good Man's First Pain

After the accident, Yang Tie needed a full three days to recover. Once he was fully healed and discharged, he decided to head home.

As he was walking, he noticed something unusual down a narrow alley. An old man stood pressed against a wall, visibly distressed. Surrounding him were five men holding knives pointed at him. Behind them, a man wearing black sunglasses and smoking a cigarette was leaning casually against a car.

It was clearly an act of extortion.

Yang Tie froze. Panic set in—this was the first time he had ever witnessed such a thing.

Yang Tie was a good man, and he often believed in helping others in times of need is a good thing. so he wanted to help the old man. But he didn't know what to do.

He searched for a nearby police officer or a telephone, but he couldn't find either. How could he? The path he was on was an abandoned shortcut where very few people passed.

"Dammit! What should I do?" he panicked. He wanted to help the old man, but he didn't know how.

He looked around desperately, hoping for a solution to help the old man.

He glanced around anxiously.

"Eh!" After a few minutes of searching, he spotted some sand—likely collected by red ants—and nearby, a broken steel rod. Quietly, he hid the steel rod behind his back with one hand, then scooped a handful of sand into a discarded plastic bag lying by the roadside.

Moving slowly and silently, he crept toward the back of the alley. He planned to ambush the gangsters.

His Electric Eyes were subconsciously active, and he is not proficient in controlling them, he decided to keep them on—they might prove useful without much trying to stop them.

Yang Tie crept closer and hid behind a broken wall silently trying to analyze the situation. He could hear voices.

"You! Old man, don't try our patience!" one of the five gangsters shouted harshly.

"Yeah, or we'll really cut you… heh heh," another gangster sneered, laughing cruelly.

"I… I don't have it… please, leave me alone," the old man stammered, his voice trembling.

It was clear the old man was genuinely terrified.

"How could there be such vicious people in this world?" Yang Tie cursed them inwardly.

"You, old man, our patience is running out!" The thug who had threatened earlier raised his knife, moving to strike the old man's hand.

"Dammit! Now I have no choice." Yang Tie shouted in hear, dashing toward the five gangsters. He decided to not waste anymore time. He held the bag of sand in his right hand, ready to throw, and the broken rod concealed behind his back.

"Who's there?" The man in the car turned sharply to see who had shouted.

As Yang Tie sprinted toward them, his Electric Eyes flared to life. The two streaks of lightning dancing across his eyes grew excited and began to vibrate.

"Eh!" Suddenly Everything before him slowed dramatically, like a frame-by-frame movie.

"Are my eyes now became defective?" He rubbed them to confirm, but the effect remained.

"Eh! It looks like these Electric Eyes can really slow down what i sam seeing."

With his perception slowed, he pushed himself harder, moving faster than ever before—not just fast, but beyond his normal limits.

In the blink of an eye, he reached the gangsters and hurled the sand-filled plastic bag into their faces.

"Ahh!" "Ahh!"

"Ahh!" "Ahh!"

A chorus of horrified shrieks echoed through the alley.

The sand Yang Tie had thrown was gathered from a red ant nest. As the sand hit the gangsters' faces, the ants emerged and began biting their eyes and faces, adding to their agony.

The five gangsters collapsed instantly, overwhelmed by the pain.

Yang Tie turned to the old man.

"Are you okay, old man?" he asked, concern evident in his voice.

"I'm fine, child," the old man replied.

"Let's get out of here..." Yang Tie began, but before he could finish, the old man shouted, "Child, look behind!"

Yang Tie turned sharply at the old man's shout. A rod swung toward his face. Panic surged through him. He tried to dodge, but the rod was nearly upon him. As his Electric Eyes were still active, slowing his perception, He tilted his body, narrowly avoiding a fatal blow. But The rod still struck his shoulder with a sickening bam.

"Ahh!" Yang Tie screamed in pain. This was his first time experiencing such agony; during the earlier accident, he had been knocked unconscious before he could feel the impact. Now, the pain was overwhelming. He fell to the ground.

"Child?!" The old man's voice was filled with panic.

"Ahh! Goddammit!" Yang Tie cursed inwardly. "I came to help the old man, but instead, I got knocked down. Indeed, good deeds come with pain." His thoughts were a mix of frustration and determination.

The one who had struck him was the leader of the five gangsters, the one who had been sitting in the car. He approached Yang Tie withq a cold gaze. "Who are you?" he demanded.

Turning to the old man, the leader's expression hardened. "Time's up, old man." He drew a small, menacing device from his pocket. "Now give me the chip, or both of you die."
