America Tycoon: The Wolf of Showbiz

Chapter 833: Hollywood Star Dream

Standing in front of the television station, Orlina spread her arms and embraced Martin tightly, "Finally, you've come to Kiev."

Martin laughed, "With you and Alexandrovich sincerely inviting me, of course, I had to come and see."

Orlina released her arms and introduced the middle-aged bald man beside her, "This is our collaborator, Lebrov, the head of the 1+1 TV Channel."

Martin shook his hand, "Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Lebrov's English was quite good, "Martin, it's a great honor for our TV station that you could come."

Alexandrovich came from behind and said, "Let's go inside and talk."

The four of them entered the TV station together.

"This way," Alexandrovich led the way ahead.

The group went straight up to the third floor, and as they stepped out of the elevator, the sounds of singing and music greeted them.

Even though it was in Ukrainian, Martin still recognized the tune—it was the classic "Stop Stop Stop."

It was also the song most widely spread by the Saintess Pop Group.

Hearing this song, Martin was reminded of the live performances he often saw in videos from his past life, the performances of the trio in black, white, and red, which were incredibly memorable.

Unfortunately, he couldn't remember which incarnation of the Saintess Pop Group it had been.

According to Alexandrovich, the Saintess Pop Group often changed members and had done so 16 times already.

Under Alexandrovich's lead, Martin entered a huge rehearsal room.

Upon entering, a fragrance wafted through the air, and the stunning scene almost blinded him.

The fifteen contestants who had made it to the finals were all dressed in hot pants and cropped tops, standing side by side opposite them as if waiting for Martin's inspection.

Each had a different face shape, body size, height, and hair color, their beauty so distinctive that they didn't seem like products from an assembly line, almost all cut from the same mold.

"Good morning, everyone," Martin greeted them.

The contestants bowed in unison, "Hello, Martin."

They used English, sounding fairly proficient.

With Martin by his side, Alexandrovich introduced them one by one, "This is Vera, this is Anastasia, this is Nastya, this is Mia, this is Erica..."

Martin shook hands with each contestant in turn, offering words of encouragement, but his hand was discreetly slipped several pieces of paper.

Many of the female contestants seemed to have ulterior motives.

Martin nonchalantly pocketed them.

Alexandrovich then introduced a slightly petite girl, "This is Nicky."

Martin took a moment to study her, a head full of blonde hair, a palm-sized face, not tall, but with an excellent figure, and said, "It seems we've met before, haven't we?"

Nicky, aware that Martin was coming today, was prepared, "Could I speak to you alone for a moment later?"

It seemed like most of the girls here could understand English, and as soon as Nicky spoke, the others all looked over.

As if unperturbed, Martin whispered, "Come find me later."

The looks from the other girls were all fixated on Nicky, their envy and jealousy barely concealed.

As everyone knows, where there are many women and competition, the atmosphere often becomes tense, so much so that you don't want to stay.

Another girl hinted to Martin, "Could I also have a private chat with you?"

The rest of the girls widened their eyes; if glares could kill, Martin would have surely been devoured by them.

Martin handled it with ease, saying, "Nicky and I have known each other for a while, I just wanted to ask her something."

Alexandrovich, as the event's organizer and host, quickly motioned with his hands for calm, "Everyone, please settle down, focus on your training, the finals are starting soon."

After visiting the contestants, Martin temporarily left the rehearsal room and gestured towards Nicky to follow.

He looked at Lebrov, "Is there a private room where I can talk to her alone?"

Lebrov immediately told his assistant, "The meeting room on this floor."

The assistant hurried over to open the door.

Martin and Bruce entered the meeting room, followed by Nicky.

"Have a seat," Martin said, sitting on a single sofa.

Nicky sat opposite Martin and spoke cautiously, "Before Alexandrovich, I didn't expect to run into you in Ukraine."

Martin asked, "How did you end up in Ukraine?"

"I'm Ukrainian," Nicky managed a weak smile, "I couldn't stay in North America anymore, so I came back to Ukraine."

She glanced at Martin with some wariness, "And it's related to you."

Martin expressed surprise, "Related to me? It seems we've only met twice, right? Once on Morgan Freeman's farm, and the other time at the entrance of WMA."

Nicky said, "When Mia, Malena, and I approached you, we had other motives, not just Morgan Freeman's party."

Martin nodded, "I could guess as much."

Back then, he had someone check but the three girls quickly disappeared from Los Angeles.

Finding herself in Ulank, Nicky decided to speak about the matters in North America, "Martin, have you heard of Michel Brian?"

Martin, being in Hollywood, of course, knew the person, "After Heidi Freiss, the most famous madam in Los Angeles, rumored to have been fined by the FBI a few years back."

Nicky continued, "After Michel was released, she kept working in the industry, on a bigger scale, and business was busier because she was only fined a few thousand dollars. There was no enforced residence surveillance, and many people believed her business was reliable and any problems could be easily settled."

Martin asked, "How long did you work with Michel?"
