Chapter 58: Chapter 58: Auction (Part Six)

Chapter 58: Auction (Part Six)

Magneto calmly glanced at the Security Guard blocking his way, then raised his hand and waved.

With a screech, the iron support frame of a nearby seat was directly torn from the Ground by an immense invisible force.

One by one, iron pipes were pulled by an invisible force, suspended in mid-air before Magneto, aimed directly at the Security Guard in front of him!

"Gulp!"

The Security Guard looked at the row of iron pipes suspended and aimed at him. The broken end of each iron pipe was like a sharp spearhead, glinting with cold light, pointed right at him.

If he were impaled by these, it wouldn't just be simple bloody holes.

Imagining the horrific sight of being pierced by these iron pipes, the Security Guard felt his legs turn to jelly. He couldn't help but swallow and shuffled his feet sideways.

Whoosh! The Crowd in the Venue instantly erupted in an uproar at the sight before them.

Those qualified to be invited to this Auction were either rich or noble; at the very least, they had passed the financial verification, with net worth in the billions.

Supernatural power was no secret among these upper echelons of society. Precisely because of this, they knew the terror of these superhumans that the Government had concealed.

They couldn't guarantee that the conflict between these Thugs with superpowers wouldn't spread to them.

Seeing Magneto's actions, some tycoons closer to the Entrance quietly got up and slipped towards the Entrance.

The Red-haired man looked at Magneto and subconsciously got up and reached for the compound bow on his back.

Only then, as he reached for it, did he realize that to avoid the security check, his bow and arrow had been left On the Ship Outside.

"Hill?"

The Red-haired man looked at Magneto, who was walking towards the auction platform, and couldn't help but look at his colleague beside him, itching for action.

"Hold on, Hawkeye. The Director wants us to closely monitor Erik Lehnsherr's movements, not provoke him!"

Agent Hill pressed the micro-headset near his ear and quietly reported the situation at the scene.

"Mutant experimental data, experiments on transforming Ordinary Persons into Mutants!..."

On the other end of the micro-communicator.

In the top floor office of the Triskelion, a spacious room. Sunlight streamed through the bright floor-to-ceiling window, falling upon the office desk.

An orange cat lay in the sunlight, lazily yawning.

"Hill, how certain are we of getting our hands on this experiment data!?"

Nick Fury, wearing his unchanging black windbreaker, sat at the office desk. The computer screen before him was displaying a latitude and longitude coordinate satellite map. In the center of the coordinate map, a red dot was continuously flashing and moving.

"No certainty, Officer. This is Magneto. Unless you authorize the use of Weapon A17, Hawkeye and I alone cannot complete this mission!"

Agent Hill calmly denied Nick Fury's idea through the micro-communicator.

Magneto, Erik Lehnsherr, regardless of the rating in any Organization's Database, was in the most dangerous tier.

Possessing magnetic field manipulation ability, in the concrete jungle of cities today, it could be said that he alone could match a fully-formed military division.

What's more, he wasn't alone. The Brotherhood of Mutants assembled by Magneto was a significant supernatural force, even in the Supernatural World.

"Weapon A17!" Nick Fury repeated, rejecting Hill's suggestion.

It wasn't that Nick Fury was soft-hearted, but in Nick Fury's eyes, Magneto, as one of the two poles of the Mutants, served his greatest purpose by counterbalancing another even more terrifying fellow.

He didn't want to directly face someone who could easily read his thoughts. In the eyes of a seasoned agent, it was like walking naked down the street, with no sense of security or privacy to speak of. If he had a choice, Nick Fury would rather streak down the street than face The Professor.

"You and Hawkeye act according to circumstances. If you can't get your hands on it, find an opportunity to destroy this batch of research data! This batch of research data cannot fall into Magneto's hands!

Hill, Erik Lehnsherr is an out-and-out racist. If he obtains the method to transform Ordinary Persons into Mutants, the consequences are unimaginable. Stop him!"

"Understood!" Hill gently tapped his earlobe twice, turned off the micro-communicator, and then conveyed Nick Fury's order to Hawkeye.

"Destroy this data?"

Hawkeye gestured towards the platform with his mouth, indicating for Hill to look. "My bow and arrow aren't with me. Do you have any good ideas?"

At this moment, Magneto had already passed the Security Guard and arrived at the auction stage.

The Beautiful auctioneer forced herself to remain calm as she looked at Magneto, but when she saw the sharp hollow iron pipes surrounding Magneto, her legs couldn't help but start to tremble.

Magneto didn't pay attention to the Auctioneer. He walked directly to the safe, extended his arm, and opened his Palm towards the safe door.

Screech! A sound of heavy metal grinding against each other rang out.

As Magneto heavily clenched his fist, the thick metal safe seemed to be entirely crushed by an immense invisible force. Immediately after, the safe door was directly ripped off and flew out, revealing rows of transparent test tubes inside. These test tubes were all labeled, with number, gender, age, and ability printed on them.

Clearly, this safe contained the gene samples of those 156 Mutants.

Magneto picked up one test tube. Just as he was about to examine the information on the label, behind him, Sabretooth suddenly let out a roar.

Sabretooth had been following behind Magneto the entire time. Besides his tall and muscular build and disheveled hair, he was silent, like an invisible being.

Just as Magneto picked up the test tube, Sabretooth suddenly twitched his nostrils, suddenly lunged out, and swung his claws, pouncing towards the area diagonally behind Magneto.

Ten sharp claws slashed across the air, like a hunting large feline. After Sabretooth pounced, the air seemed to wrinkle. By the time he landed, nearly half of the fingernails on his Right Hand were stained bright red.

Blood kept dripping down along his fingers.

A figure wearing a camouflage uniform appeared out of thin air behind Magneto.

With a thud, he fell to his knees on the Ground, struggling to cover his neck with both hands. From his mouth, a continuous gurgling sound emerged. Between his fingers, blood gushed outwards as if from a fountain.

"Invisibility, is that your ability?"

Magneto turned his head to look at the camouflage uniform man kneeling on the ground, smiled, extended his hand, lifted it upwards, and then swung it downwards.

The dozen or so iron pipes surrounding his entire body changed direction. The sharp openings flew rapidly upwards, and then, upon approaching the ceiling of the cabin, like a group of agile fish, rapidly dove down.

In the process of falling, the dozen or so iron pipes continuously split. The metal objects around them, as if encountering a powerful magnet, converged into them one after another.

Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh...

Dozens of iron pipes, sharpened at one end, pierced through the air around Magneto in all directions!

"Ah!" "Ah!"

Piercing screams rang out one after another. The hollow iron pipes shot out streams of blood.
