Chapter 67: Guidance, The Middleman (5500)

"Whoosh!"

An arrow was shot from above, embedding itself in Sabretooth's shoulder.

Sabretooth looked up at Hawkeye standing on the sixth-floor Terrace, silently gripping the arrow shaft and pulling the arrow out with brute force.

The barbed arrowhead tore off a large chunk of flesh from Sabretooth's shoulder.

The intense pain made Sabretooth frown involuntarily. He then snapped the arrow shaft in his hand with his thumb.

Beep beep beep...

At the connection point of the arrow's metal arrowhead, a short explosion sound rang out, accompanied by flashing red light.

Boom! With a violent explosion, half of Sabretooth's arm was blown into a bloody mess, and half of his body was almost skeleton-like.

On the sixth-floor Terrace, Hawkeye didn't dare delay. He drew another arrow, nocked it on his bow, and aimed at Sabretooth.

Whoosh! Another arrow shot down, and the explosive arrow engulfed Sabretooth in firelight again.

One, two, three...

After shooting four arrows, Hawkeye reached back to his quiver, his fingers brushing over a few arrows. He hesitated for a moment, glanced at Sabretooth in the firelight, and turned to run quickly back into the Room.

From the smoke, dust, and firelight, Sabretooth, whose charred bones were visible through his burnt figure, strode out.

With every step, Sabretooth's wounds would partially heal. Muscles grew along his bones and fascia, followed by blood vessels and skin. He left a trail of bloody footprints on the Deck. By the time Sabretooth reached the staircase, all the wounds on his body had completely healed.

"Cool!"

The explosion attracted many people to poke their heads out of their Rooms to look.

A four or five-year-old blond boy stood on a chair watching Sabretooth's flesh regrow. He wasn't scared but clapped his hands loudly and shouted as if he had seen a new and interesting toy.

The young woman beside him was startled and quickly covered the boy's mouth, pulling him back into the Room.

Sabretooth strode through the Ship, passing the second and third floors. Just as he reached the staircase on the fourth-floor corridor.

Whoosh! Hawkeye poked his head out from the seventh-floor corridor, nocked an arrow on his bow, and shot it directly through Sabretooth's chest.

The strangely shaped umbrella-shaped arrowhead, the moment it entered Sabretooth's body, several micro-hooks quickly spread outwards, hooking onto the surrounding flesh and skin.

Sabretooth had just gripped the arrow shaft, but before he could pull the arrow out,

At the seventh-floor staircase, Hawkeye used a crowbar to push a huge iron anchor into the Ocean.

The other end of the iron anchor was connected to the tail of the arrow by a black rope.

The iron anchor plummeted towards the Ocean.

The immense force caused Sabretooth to stumble, his body uncontrollably falling towards the outside of the corridor.

Roar! Sabretooth forcefully pushed off a section of the iron railing at the staircase with his feet, wrapped the black rope around his arm with one hand, and relied purely on brute strength to hold back the heavy iron anchor weighing several thousand pounds.

Seeing this, Hawkeye drew another arrow, brushed it against his waist, and attached a special arrowhead to the arrow shaft.

Nocking the arrow, Hawkeye aimed and shot towards the Ship Cabin above. The sharp arrowhead plunged directly into the Metal Cabin Wall, and the arrowhead popped out five metal claws, firmly hooking onto the surrounding Cabin Wall.

Hawkeye took a breath, grabbed the arrow shaft with one hand, and leaped directly down from the seventh floor.

Bang! Using the momentum of his rapid descent, Hawkeye delivered a fierce kick to Sabretooth's waist.

Crash!

Pulled by the heavy iron anchor, combined with Hawkeye's supplementary flying kick, Sabretooth could no longer hold on and fell directly into the Sea.

A considerable splash erupted on the Sea Surface. Sabretooth struggled to swim to the surface, letting out an angry roar at the receding Passenger Ship.

Just as Hawkeye watched the Sea Surface and finally breathed a sigh of relief, Sabretooth flew out of the Sea, standing on a huge iron anchor, and chased after the Passenger Ship through the air.

Hawkeye's face stiffened. He turned his head and looked towards the second floor where the Restaurant was located.

At the entrance of the second-floor Restaurant, there was a protruding Terrace. On the Terrace, several bamboo chairs were arranged. Under a sun umbrella, a tall old man was chatting and laughing with an Asian wearing a white suit.

As if sensing Hawkeye's gaze, the tall old man glanced at him, and that cold look sent a shiver down Hawkeye's spine.

Hawkeye's hand went to the arrows behind him, but facing Magneto, even he, known as Marvel's top marksman, had no confidence whatsoever.

"Mr. Erik, you can rest assured about the quality of this batch of automatic cannons. They are genuine Soviet goods, sturdy and durable, with great power. You said you have an island, that's easy to handle. Look at these coastal defense guns. Within twenty nautical miles, no one will be able to approach your territory!"

Tang Song, smoking a carrot-thick Cuban cigar, smiled and interrupted Magneto's gaze.

Tang Song reached out and took some color photos from a Bodyguard beside him, handing them to Magneto.

Magneto flipped through the photos in his hand. Facing these seemingly bulky and crude but clearly powerful cannons, Magneto Erik, who had originally decided not to be fooled again after buying automatic cannons, couldn't help but start spending money again.

Tang Song watched Magneto look through the photos with a smile.

He was secretly pleased. Let Lane say his sales skills were poor again. See, a whole warehouse of goods was sold off just like that.

Mutants are good people! Calculating the profit brought by this business, Tang Song's smile became even brighter.

He certainly wasn't doing it for the money; he was doing it for the mutant liberation cause, for freedom and democracy.

Look, Black people can stand up in the Federation, why can't Mutants?

If Tang Song remembered correctly, those who supported Black independence back then received quite a lot of benefits.

At worst, if Magneto could really lead the Mutants to rise up and resist, wouldn't he have a buyer for arms business every year?

"These, these, plus these, how much in total?"

Magneto picked out a few pictures from the table.

"Two thousand AKs, one million bullets, thirty automatic cannons, six Hinds, twenty coastal defense guns. The total is two hundred seventy-six million US dollars!"

Tang Song picked up a calculator from the side and rapidly tapped on it in front of Magneto.

Two hundred seventy-six million US dollars. Looking at the number displayed on the calculator in Tang Song's hand, Magneto's facial muscles twitched.

He looked at Tang Song, and the more he looked, the more the Asian resembled the vampires he had hanged with iron chains back then.

"I don't have that much money on me?!"

Magneto's words were practically squeezed out through gritted teeth. After saying this, Magneto felt a burning sensation on his face.

No money?! Tang Song looked at Magneto, blinking a few times, seemingly unable to believe it.

Come on, you are one of the two poles of the mutant world, one of the few Level 5 Mutants in the world, the leader of the Brotherhood of Mutants, the famous Magneto, and you don't have money? As if sensing the disbelief in Tang Song's gaze, Magneto turned his head to look at Sabretooth on the Sea Surface.

Uh, Tang Song could even see a blush spreading across Magneto's neck and ears.

Magneto really didn't have money, or rather, he did have money, but all of it was spent on the Brotherhood of Mutants and other Mutants.

Mutants divide their abilities into five levels, from lowest to highest: Epsilon, Delta, Gamma, Beta, Alpha.

Most Mutants' superpowers are the lowest Epsilon level. This first level of Mutants has significant flaws or purely monstrous appearances, making it difficult for them to integrate into society and live normally. Their abilities are also not strong. They account for about twenty percent of the mutant population.

Their abilities are truly hard to describe. For example, one Mutant's mutant ability is to control the temperature of farts. Who knows what use that ability has?

Delta-level Mutants are basically only slightly stronger than Epsilon-level in terms of strength.

As Mutants of the second strength level, Delta-level Mutants account for over fifty percent of the total mutant population. This group is also the most common Mutant group within the mutant race.

However, despite being the most numerous and almost all having normal human appearances,

This level of Mutants is weaker in strength, basically at the level of a Weakling. In combat, they are what we commonly call Cannon Fodder.

Magneto is an extremely conflicted person. As a Jew, he suffered greatly from Fascist persecution in his youth. His family was killed, and his mother was murdered in front of him.

Logically, he should intensely hate Fascists and the theories of the little mustache guy, but perhaps he was brainwashed by the Black King.

The Brotherhood of Mutants that Magneto is currently developing is almost a direct copy of the little mustache guy's ideology, describing Mutants as a noble race, pioneers of humanity's future evolution, and fantasizing about establishing a kingdom ruled by Mutants.

However, it must be said that for those he considers his own kind, Magneto truly treats everyone equally and spends a lot of money helping weaker Mutants.

It's just that the number of Mutants is simply too large.

This is different from Professor X running a school; Magneto genuinely spends money like water, constantly running at a deficit. Otherwise, he wouldn't have thought of relying on betting on soccer games to turn things around.

It's just that the German Team is still not very friendly to him, a Jew, just like the Nazis back then.

Uh, you mention robbery. For someone like Magneto, who is almost a moral purist, he is skilled at opposing the government, kidnapping the president, or killing a Councillor. But robbery is something he just can't bring himself to do.

He is buying firearms from Tang Song with the intention of arming a group of low-level Mutants.

Originally, the members of the Brotherhood of Mutants were powerful Mutants of Gamma level or higher.

It's just that Gamma-level Mutants are not numerous to begin with, and there's Professor X who has been opposing him.

After all, Professor X's ability to find newly awakened Mutants is simply too convenient.

Lack of manpower has always been the shackles restricting the development of the Brotherhood of Mutants. However, Tang Song's words opened a new door for Magneto.

A group of Epsilon Mutants armed with AKs might not be less lethal than Gamma-level Mutants.

It's just this money... Controlling the iron anchor and carrying Sabretooth back to the Deck, Magneto's eyes were somewhat unfocused. "Uh, installments are possible!"

Looking at Magneto, who had turned his face away and was looking at the Sea, Tang Song suddenly had the illusion that he was bullying an old man. He thought for a moment and blurted out a sentence.

Hearing this, Magneto turned back and looked at Tang Song.

"How about this, I trust Mr. Erik's credit. Tell me an address, and I'll have someone deliver the goods first! Mr. Erik can just transfer the money to my account whenever you have it!"

Tang Song smoked his cigar, looking at Magneto, somewhat puzzled as to why someone with the ability to control metal would be short on money.

He couldn't help but remind him, "Mr. Erik, have you heard of Golden Demon Valley?"

Magneto was stunned for a moment. Seeing the confusion on his face, he clearly hadn't heard of this place.

Tang Song rested the carrot-thick cigar on the ashtray and explained to Magneto:

"Golden Demon Valley, in British Columbia, is the world's largest river gold deposit.

Every year, many gold prospectors go to this Valley to pan for gold. Although the environment there is very harsh, many people find gold and get rich every year!

Not just Golden Demon Valley, every year in the Bering Strait, gold dredgers go out to mine gold. They can collect dozens of pounds of gold in one cycle!"

When Tang Song finished speaking, Magneto also understood what Tang Song was trying to convey. Magneto's eyes lit up. His ability to control metal made controlling metal as easy as turning his hand.

In his youth, he could rely on his ability to pull out an entire underground metal vein, but he had never thought about gold.

"I also have two medium-short range missile launchers here, carrying six warheads. If Mr. Erik is interested, I also support gold payment here!"

Tang Song looked at Magneto's eyes as if looking at a big sucker, no, a big customer. He reached out and took a few more pictures from the Bodyguard beside him.

......

Roar! After Sabretooth returned to the Deck on the iron anchor, he roared and charged at Hawkeye without a word.

Clearly, being soaked in the sea water was too unpleasant. Sabretooth's rage had reached its peak, chasing Hawkeye all the way from the bottom of the Ship Cabin to the top floor.

Hawkeye used his rope arrow to swing down from the top of the nine-story Passenger Ship, and Sabretooth leaped down directly.

Falling from a height of dozens of meters, Sabretooth was only dizzy for about ten seconds before getting up full of vigor and continuing to chase Hawkeye.

A marksman and a Blood Cow. The two chased and fled. Soon, Hawkeye ran out of arrows in his quiver. He could only rely on the terrain to evade Sabretooth's pursuit.

In terms of close combat and killing ability, Hawkeye considered himself not inferior to Sabretooth, but Sabretooth's undying body was simply too disgusting, perfectly illustrating what one force overcomes ten skills meant.

Sabretooth could let Hawkeye stab him ten or twenty times, but Hawkeye didn't dare let Sabretooth grab him even once.

Sabretooth jumped from the top floor, and half of his body was almost cut in half by the trap Hawkeye had set.

But even with such injuries, it only delayed Sabretooth for about ten minutes.

Tang Song watched Sabretooth's super healing mutant ability, took a deep puff of his cigar, looked at Sabretooth, and his eyes flickered.

"Mr. Erik, look at him?"

Tang Song pointed at Hawkeye with his cigar, then pointed at his mobile phone.

Magneto frowned, waved his large hand, and two idle goose-egg thick iron chains on the Ship suddenly seemed to come alive, moving like two metal snakes, rapidly darting towards Hawkeye.

As Hawkeye was jumping from the sixth floor to the fifth floor, two iron chains suddenly shot out from beneath his feet, binding his ankles and lifting him upside down into the air.

Hawkeye, hanging head down, watched helplessly as Sabretooth pounced towards him.

......

A small boat was lowered from the Passenger Ship. On the Lifeboat, Hawkeye was grimacing as he treated his wounds. Although he didn't know why Magneto had let him go, he was just grateful to have saved his life and didn't ask for anything else.

Only Hill... Hawkeye pressed the handheld positioning device beside him with some worry.

After the Passenger Ship gradually moved away, a submarine appeared near the Lifeboat.

"Agent Barton! You've worked hard! The Director sent me to pick you up!"

The submarine surfaced, the submarine hatch opened, and a middle-aged man in a suit with a kind face walked out.

"What price did you pay? Where's Hill? Is she still on the Ship?"

Phil Coulson reached out and pulled Hawkeye onto the submarine.

"Agent Hill wasn't exposed. She'll disembark in Italy and return to headquarters from there!"

Phil Coulson explained to Hawkeye.

As for the price, Phil Coulson didn't explain!

......

A chair, a sea rod, Tang Song sat on the Passenger Ship's fishing Terrace wearing beach shorts, leisurely fishing.

The fishing line hung into the Sea, but there was no hook tied to the line. Xiao Hei was pitifully tied by its tail with the fishing line, swimming in the sea water.

Occasionally, a big fish would swim by, and Xiao Hei's head would strike like lightning. A big fish many times larger than it would instantly turn into a pool of blood, which Xiao Hei would suck into its belly along with the sea water.

A big grouper quickly swam past Xiao Hei. Xiao Hei chased after it like lightning.

The reel on Tang Song's fishing rod whirred loudly as it was pulled.

"Buzz buzz buzz..."

The mobile phone placed on the small table beside him vibrated. Tang Song answered it.

"Hello, Mr. Coulson, you've picked up the person, that's good. You're welcome!"

Tang Song hung up the phone, reached out, and the Bodyguard beside him handed him a lit cigar.

Tang Song smoked his cigar. He really hadn't expected S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to call him and ask him to be a peacemaker.

For this, they were willing to provide detailed information on various gangs in New York, including Kingpin's information file in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s information.

After testing Magneto's attitude, Tang Song confirmed that S.H.I.E.L.D. and Magneto were like two ends of a pole fighting a wolf – both were afraid of each other. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents didn't want to provoke Magneto and the Brotherhood of Mutants.

And Magneto didn't want to offend the powerful S.H.I.E.L.D.

Tang Song was happy to be this peacemaker, this mediator.

Tang Song slightly lifted his fishing rod. At the other end of the fishing line, Xiao Hei felt the vibration on its tail. Looking at the shark close at hand, its body suddenly darted forward. Its entire upper snake body suddenly became huge, like a water vat thick snake head, biting a dogfish shark at once and swallowing it into its belly.

Tang Song reeled in the fishing line. Xiao Hei lazily lay on Tang Song's palm, moving to crawl onto his thumb, transforming back into the black jade thumb ring.

...

Pushing open the Ship Cabin door, Tang Song entered the Room. On the large bed, Skye, wearing a white bathrobe, leaned against the headboard, her legs propping up a notebook computer.

The computer was playing a video, which was the transmitted video footage from the Skeleton Demon.

After taking screenshots of the scattered footage of the monster fish in the video, Skye opened a website, posted the pictures online, and offered a high bounty.

Because of the six-figure bounty, Skye's post quickly appeared at the forefront of this intelligence dark web.

"Leviathan!"

After eliminating much false information, Skye quickly locked onto an answer.

Leviathan, possessing hard scales, sharp teeth, and spikes on its belly.

Sleeping at Project Monarch Outpost No. 49 in Loch Ness, Scotland!

Looking at the replies, Skye quickly typed on the keyboard, asking for information about Leviathan.

Soon, a matching result appeared on her computer.

"Leviathan is currently not in Loch Ness, it's in the Atlantic Ocean!"

The person on the other end of the computer clearly knew a lot of inside information.

Skye was about to continue asking when she saw Tang Song return. She threw the computer aside, let out a cheer, and threw herself into Tang Song's arms.

Tang Song caught Skye, letting her legs wrap around his waist...

Tang Song walked towards the large bed holding Skye like this. Skye was just about to accompany her Boss in practicing the Great Yin-Yang Joyous Union Scripture.

However, Tang Song's eyes turned cold. He grabbed backhand, and the air rippled.

Fox vigorously shook Tang Song's iron-like hand, her entire body held by the neck and lifted into the air by Tang Song.

"Since you want to watch, then feel it yourself!"

Tang Song exerted force in his palm. Fox Fox felt as if her neck could be twisted off at any moment. She couldn't help but show a pleading look towards Tang Song.

"Hmph!"

Tang Song exerted force and directly threw Fox onto the bed.

"Strip!"
