Ancestral Wealth Inheritance System

Chapter 355: It Would Be a Pity Not to Go to Sea

"Who would've thought that I could make women go crazy like this now," Fang Jueyu said as he left the changing room and headed back to the gala event venue.

There was absolutely no way he could say he felt nothing just now, unless he wasn't a man at all. But he wasn't interested in that kind of woman, even if she threw herself at him; he still couldn't muster any interest.

Guo Xinyu and Bianase hadn't returned yet, so Fang Jueyu decided to find a spot by himself to enjoy the fine wine and gourmet food.

During this time, people kept coming over to greet him and get acquainted. Some were wealthy elites from various fields, and some were fellow Grammy Award nominees, though Fang Jueyu didn't recognize most of them. However, with his increasingly rich social skills, Fang Jueyu managed to handle them with ease.

"Wow!" Suddenly, a cry of praise came from the direction of the changing room.

By now, Bianase had changed clothes. This gown wasn't custom-made for anyone; because of its rarity and beauty, it was originally kept as a collector's item by a member of the Lorfis family.

It just so happened Fang Jueyu wanted it for this event, and the gown perfectly fit Bianase's figure, so he brought it over.

Without a doubt, this gown seemed tailor-made for Bianase. At approximately 172 cm tall, wearing this dress turned her into a nighttime enchantress, making any man who looked at her reveal an entranced expression.

"Nice, this gift is rather fitting," Fang Jueyu said, evaluating Bianase and nodding in satisfaction.

"Mr. Fang, you did say this gown is a gift for me, right? You can't take it back now," Bianase said, loving the gown immensely as it was a piece of art.

"I'm not that stingy," Fang Jueyu replied, clearly seeing that Bianase was genuinely getting along with Guo Xinyu. Giving the dress didn't hurt him at all. But thinking about the other dress made him feel it was a loss, as he wouldn't even give a ten-dollar dress to that kind of woman.

"By the way, where's Asher?" they asked. The two had been taking selfies in the changing room long after they changed clothes, so Asher should have come out by now.

"Maybe she ran to the bathroom with diarrhea," Fang Jueyu joked, estimating that after his little stunt, Asher wouldn't want to show her face in front of him anytime soon.

"Hmph! You're making things up again," Guo Xinyu pouted. "Did you do something while Asher sprained her ankle and was changing clothes?"

"I didn't do anything!" Fang Jueyu protested, feeling wronged. He hadn't done anything even when Asher's hand was all over him, and now without Gu Yi to testify, he couldn't prove his innocence.

"Little Yi, did you record anything just now?" Fang Jueyu secretly inquired.

"Host... I turned off the recording system with a certain probability in case something like that happened. Didn't want to see things I shouldn't," came the response.

"Oh come on!" Fang Jueyu cursed internally.

"Oh, it's no big deal," Bianase said, having received a text from Asher. "Asher mentioned her ankle sprain is quite bad and went to the medical room here. We probably won't see her until the day after tomorrow."

"That's too bad, I wanted to see the difference between the 'Angel' and this 'Devil' gown," Guo Xinyu said, shaking her head in regret.

"Never mind, the night is still young. I'll introduce you to some friends," Bianase suggested. Of course, her intention wasn't just introducing Guo Xinyu to some people; she also wanted to satisfy her own vanity.

Guo Xinyu glanced at Fang Jueyu as if seeking his opinion.

"Go ahead, have fun. I'll wander around," Fang Jueyu smiled, giving his approval.

"Let's go, let's go!" Bianase quickly pulled Guo Xinyu away.

After several rounds of drinks, Fang Jueyu felt his bladder starting to swell. Being human comes with these urgent needs, and he wasn't some immortal being.

"Who's so inconsiderate to lock the bathroom door?" Fang Jueyu tugged a few times at the door, but it wouldn't open, seemingly locked from the inside.

"Oh great, I'm really not going to hold it much longer," he groaned, doing a bit of a dance as the urgency increased.

He took a coin from his pocket and used Cosmic Source Power to manipulate the metal atoms to move. This little door was not going to stop a Hidden Elementer from entering.

Fang Jueyu quickly went inside, and as soon as he dropped his pants, the world suddenly felt much better.

"Ah~ relief!" Fang Jueyu said, shaking his body and pulling up the zipper, once again regaining a gentlemanly demeanor.

It was then he noticed an indescribable sound echoing in the large bathroom. In his rush, he hadn't noticed it before.

"Wow, these foreigners really know how to have fun!" It dawned on Fang Jueyu why the bathroom was locked. Someone was indeed busy with something inside.

"Tsk tsk tsk, better not interrupt their fun," he mused. The most inconsiderate act in the world is interrupting someone else's business, so Fang Jueyu moved as quietly as a mouse.

However, just as he was about to leave the bathroom, he heard a very familiar name—Guo Xinyu.

Fang Jueyu immediately stopped. Why would two foreigners mention Guo Xinyu's name?

"Darling, you're amazing!"

"Mr. Hamson, do you have any thoughts on who should win Best Female Singer this time?"

"This year, the strongest contenders are you and that young girl from Huaxia called Guo Xinyu. Though there are many judges, you know that we announce the final result, and the process... well," he trailed off.

"That Guo Xinyu is quite impressive, but I think my song is better. Don't you think so, Mr. Hamson?"

"Hehe, that'll depend on how sweet your 'songs' are tonight."

"Why don't we meet somewhere else after the gala ends?"

"I've been waiting for you to say that, darling!"

"Damn!" Fang Jueyu selectively tuned out the rest of the conversation, but what he already heard was enough to make him furious.

No one knew better than him how much effort Guo Xinyu had put in, and now someone was trying to snatch that honor away from her like this?

If he hadn't coincidentally come to this bathroom today, Guo Xinyu might have unknowingly lost the "Best Female Singer" award.

"Luckily for them, it's me that found out!" Now that Fang Jueyu overheard this, things wouldn't end so simply.

To be honest, more than ninety percent of the Grammy Awards committee's sponsorship came from the Lorfis family. Many key departments were inextricably linked with them. If Guo Xinyu wanted to sweep those three nominated awards, Fang Jueyu could easily arrange it with a word.

Yet he didn't want to do that. If Guo Xinyu learned her awards came this way, she wouldn't be happy. But he absolutely wouldn't allow anyone to take away the honor that rightfully belonged to her in such a way.

Fang Jueyu's eyes turned sly, "Hmm, seems you like exciting games. With such great professional skills, it would be a shame not to venture into film."
