Chapter 26: Chapter 150 - Escape Plan
Jay-Jay's POV
Shit!
The distance between Keifer's car and his father was so close. For a moment, I really thought he was going to run him over, but he suddenly hit the brakes.
My heart stopped. My soul almost left my body.
What the hell was that?!
Keifer stepped out of his car and immediately glared at his father.
"You're blocking my driveway!" Keifer snapped.
His father didn't answer—he just smiled and walked back toward the house. Weird. There wasn't even a hint of fear in his expression.
Yuri walked toward us, his face serious, especially when he saw Aries and Ella.
"Why did your father pick us up?" Felix asked Keifer.
Keifer didn't answer. He just turned and walked straight into their massive house, disappearing behind its grand, oversized doors.
I looked at Yuri, hoping he'd explain, but he simply followed Keifer inside.
"What's going on?" I asked.
Nobody answered. Silence settled over us.
We must have been standing there for a few minutes when Aries suddenly strode into the house, Ella following close behind.
Wow. Feeling at home, are we?
"What the hell was that?!" Eren muttered.
"Nothing's going to happen to us here! Let's go!" Rory said before marching inside.
Since we had no idea what else to do, we followed.
As soon as we stepped inside, I felt ashamed—the floors were so polished my shoes practically apologized for stepping on them.
And the chandelier? Holy shit.
What did Sia say about the one in Yuri's hotel? This one's even bigger.
This isn't just a house; this is a beautiful palace.
Keifer stood still in the middle of the room, his gaze distant—like he wasn't in a house, but in the presidential palace.
"Good morning," a woman dressed as a maid greeted us.
Wait. Maid?
She was tall, had flawless skin, and her uniform was pristine.
I, on the other hand, looked like my uniform had barely survived a wrestling match with an iron.
"Follow me," she said before turning around.
Eren, of course, immediately obeyed. Chick magnet mode: activated.
As we walked, I kept glancing around. Damn. The paintings on the walls? Masterpieces. My entire bedroom could fit inside one of their frames.
After a few minutes, the maid opened a door and motioned for us to enter.
We lined up and shuffled inside like we were on a school field trip.
Damn, nice!
Two massive sofas greeted us, placed in what was clearly their receiving area. The moment we saw them, some of us immediately sprawled out, making ourselves comfortable. Others were too busy gawking at the mansion.
Someone approached me. I turned—it was Ci-N.
He leaned in and whispered, "Come with me… I need to go to the restroom."
Oh, right! I almost forgot I had to pee too!
I nodded, and we quietly slipped out.
"Where's the restroom?" I asked.
Ci-N didn't answer—he just kept walking.
Uh… what?
Still confused, I followed him.
We passed by four different maids, but Ci-N didn't even glance at them, let alone ask for directions.
Okay, what the hell is going on?
Then, out of nowhere, he started climbing the stairs to the second floor.
What the—?!
Even their staircase screamed "rich people only."
Is this the real Stairway to Heaven?
"Hey, Ci!" I called after him. "Where exactly are we going? Aren't we looking for the restroom?"
No response. He just kept walking.
At this point, I was sure—he wasn't looking for a restroom at all.
We entered a new hallway. I was getting real tired of all this aimless wandering when Ci-N suddenly stopped in front of a door.
He knocked lightly, pausing as if listening for something.
Then he turned to me and motioned for me to come closer.
"Why?" I asked as I walked toward him.
He barely pushed the door open.
"Come in," he said.
I hesitated. Something felt off.
I heard voices inside—familiar voices.
Still, I stepped inside and saw Keifer, Yuri, Keigan, and Keiren deep in conversation.
Wait… Keigan is here?!
"What's going on?" I whispered.
Yuri was the first to notice me.
"Jay..." he said.
I took slow steps toward them.
"W-what's happening?" I asked again.
Keifer met my gaze. "We need your help."
I pointed myself. Me?
"Father never does anything without a reason. He wouldn't have brought us here for nothing." Keigan's voice was firm.
I didn't speak. I waited for them to explain.
"We don't know exactly what he's planning," Yuri added, shifting his gaze to Keiren. "But one thing is certain…"
He took a breath.
"...Keiren is his target, and he can use any of us to get to him."
I looked at Keiren. He seemed weak, exhausted—almost sick.
"I'm asking you, Jay…" Keifer said seriously. "If things go south, I need you to take Keiren and run. Keigan will help you escape."
I stared at him, stunned.
"You want me to just leave you guys behind?"
Yuri looked away. Keifer did the same.
"Don't worry, Jay... They won't hurt your friends or classmates. But I can't promise they won't hurt Keifer brother," Keigan said.
Oh, great! That really makes me feel better, Keigan. Sure, I'll just leave them when there's trouble. That doesn't seem wrong at all.
"Please, just do as I said. Don't think about anything else," Keifer commanded, his voice firm.
I didn't want to. I really didn't want to do that. That's not my job.
I glanced at Keiren. He looked miserable.
"A-alright... I'll do it."
"Great! You know what to do, Keigan!" Keifer said, turning to his brother.
Keigan nodded, and without another word, they started walking toward the door, signaling that the meeting was over.
As Keifer passed in front of me, I instinctively grabbed the hem of his polo shirt.
He stopped and looked down at me.
"W-where's your restroom?" I asked.
He glanced at Keigan and Yuri, signaling for them to continue without him. Then he pointed to the door behind me.
I immediately ran inside. I couldn't hold it any longer! My bladder was on the verge of bursting.
The moment I entered, I hesitated—my reflection in their spotless, shiny toilet seat made me pause. Damn. Their bathroom was pristine!
But there was no time to admire the cleanliness. Sorry to the housekeeper, but they're gonna need extra disinfectant after this.
I couldn't help but be impressed, though. Their bathroom had everything—even alcohol!
When I finally came out, the room was empty.
Keifer must have gotten bored waiting.
I sighed and was about to head for the door when, out of nowhere, someone suddenly hugged me from behind. ❤️
What the—?!
Still! Still!
"Ssshhh…" A deep voice whispered near my ear. "...I f*cking miss you."
Huh?!
Come again?!
"...I've been busy. But after this, I swear I'll make it up to you."
W-what is this?! J-just what is happening right now?!
"...Say something," he murmured.
Why should I say anything?! I was frozen in place, completely stunned.
He was still hugging me, his warmth completely surrounding me. Wow.
"K-Keifer..."
I finally managed to whisper.
He rested his head on my shoulder, staying silent, but I felt his grip on me tighten.
And I understood.
This wasn't just about missing me. He needed comfort. Support.!
Even if he wasn't saying it, I could feel it.
I reached up and held his arm.
"Ssshhh…" I whispered softly. "...I missed you too."
I felt him lift his head slightly.
"Don't think too much. There's still plenty of time to fix things. Just focus on what you need to do first," I reassured him, gently patting his head.
He rested his chin on my shoulder.
"Thank you..." he whispered. "...Thank you for being here."
I couldn't help but smile at his words. This… feels nice.
After a moment, he finally pulled away.
"Let's go," he said before heading toward the door.
…No kiss?
Pffft. And here I was, actually missing him. What a letdown.
I sighed and followed him. He had just grabbed the doorknob when he suddenly stopped.
"Before we go…" he muttered.
Then, without warning—he kissed me. ❤️
Just for a moment.
But long enough to make my heart stop.
Ahhh…
Before I could react, he opened the door and walked out.
I stepped out after him and immediately spotted Ci-N leaning against the wall, casually playing on his phone.
"Hey!" I called out. "...Let's go!"
Ci-N looked up and smirked.
"What were you two talking about?" he asked.
"Nothing..." I answered quickly, walking ahead.
He immediately followed me.
"No, seriously. What was that about?" he asked again, annoyingly persistent.
"I told you—it's nothing."
"Are you gonna tell me, or should I tell Keifer that his 'girlfriend' has a boyfriend?" he threatened, grinning.
I suddenly laughed. If only you knew…
But my laughter died when I spotted Yuri standing nearby.
Shit! Did he hear what Ci-N just said?!
"What are you two talking about?" Yuri asked, raising an eyebrow.
"A-ah… uh…" Think, Jay, think!
"There's no hope for you and Keifer! Jay-Jay has a boyfriend!" Ci-N blurted out.
YOU LITTLE—!!
"Boyfriend?" Yuri repeated, turning his gaze to me.
I quickly signaled him, 'It's fine! Don't react!' before Ci-N could make things worse.
"Yeah! So—hhmmm! Hhhmmm!"
Before he could say anything more, I slapped my hand over his mouth.
"Ahahaha… This idiot just loves messing around!" I said awkwardly, trying to laugh it off.
Yuri just smiled knowingly and nodded before walking away.
I immediately let go of Ci-N and shot him a glare.
"Your hand stinks!" he complained.
Oh, you little—!
I sniffed my hand. It smelled just fine. Probably because of the alcohol I used earlier.
"Come on! Let's eat!" Ci-N suddenly said, quickly walking ahead.
Nice! Food time!
