Chapter 420: Missy
The cowboy's laughter echoed through the woods as he jumped from branch to branch, evading different projectiles.
"I love this, Missy! You still don't want to spend quality time with me? I'm still down if you feel like it! Especially under these trees, which keep out the chilly wind! They are perfect for making love under!"
Vines grew from the branches, trying to catch Chang's boots, but he was too slippery, and kept dodging Bea's attacks.
She also grew flowers, which shot sharp seeds at the unserious man, but each time he just raised his rifle and shot every single seed out of the sky.
Even while running, dodging, and jumping around, Chang's aim was perfect. Like a true marksman, his shots never missed.
Bea shot another hundred seeds from different angles. Every tree in this forest was under her control. They were her weapons!
The sharp seeds went faster than normal bullets. However, Chang's reflexes and weapon were every stronger.
He jumped away from another branch, evading the vines, then spun around midair, and pulled the trigger of his rifle. Its multi-barrel spun rapidly, while its revolver-like large magazine chamber spun the opposite direction.
The strange weapon was capable of shooting nearly ten thousand bullets a second on max power, but Chang only used it lower, so his aim wouldn't be affected.
This rifle might be extremely powerful, but his bullets caused the true damage. Chang commonly referred to them as 'insta-kill bullets' since, if any living tissue touched them, they withered away.
"Missy, you're really giving me mixed signals here! No need to pretend! We can spend the night together! No need for this courting theatrics!"
No matter how hard she tried, Bea simply couldn't understand why this man still believed she was simply flirting. This takes a special kind of delusion!
As an obvious answer, Bea grew spikes on the branch Chang was about to land on. Sadly, while falling in midair, he took aim and loosen thousands of bullets into the branch, essentially destroying it.
The power of his gatling rifle sent him in the opposite direction. He grabbed hold of another branch, then swung on towards the next, like a monkey.
"That's it Missy! If you continue putting up a fight, I might decide to leave you alive… Well, only if you agree to date! I really think we will make amazing partners!"
Bea started to get more annoyed, but attacking him head on wasn't an option. Those bullets could cause serious damage, and they may even kill her!
Right now, she was only entertaining Chang until her friend managed to get closer without him noticing.
Kathy changed forms since massacring all those enemy combatants. Instead of a venomous snake with lots of appendages, she turned into a strange leopard with chameleon-like skin.
She had six legs, each armed with razor-sharp claws. She also covered herself in metallic fur, which could deflect a bullet or two.
Her movements were slow and meticulous while tracking Chang's unpredictable rush through the woods. The long claws easily caught in the surrounding tree's bark, and her agile body moved with unprecedented coordination.
The leopard creature also had three tails, each with a metallic blade at its tip. The greatly helped in counterbalancing her body, but could also serve as weapons.
Gradually, she was catching up to Chang while the unsuspecting man just continued talking…
"Missy! Why are you hiding? Your body is magnificent, no need to hide such beauty! Especially those voluptuous, perky breasts of yours! I'd love to suckle on those nipples, like a newborn calf from its mother's udder."
A shiver seemed to go through the forest's foliage as Bea nearly vomited from disgust. Those weren't words she ever prepared to hear from anyone.
Bea felt like taking a weeklong shower just from the dirtiness in Chang's gaze. Somehow, he made Bea feel thankful that Otto wasn't this kind of pervert… Otto might've been a villain, but even he wasn't this sickening…
After hearing Chang's disgusting words, Bea redoubled her efforts to destroy him.
He jumped away from a branch, which grew spikes, and while in the air, Bea began shooting him with more sharp seeds. A few managed to do glancing blows, even drawing blood, but not a single one stuck to his skin.
The cowboy just laughed and used his rifle to destroy any approaching danger. However, while he was still in midair, vines grew around him like cobweb.
His legs and one of his arms got stuck, but sadly, his rifle remained unperturbed. With a wide grin, he pulled the trigger and destroyed the vines surrounding him.
It was another failed attempt at killing him. However, at least Kathy finally arrived at the scene too!
Higher in the foliage, her green and brown fur perfectly adapted to the surroundings, making her essentially invisible. She also made sure to match her sent with the forest's, so Chang couldn't sniff her out like last time.
Bea continued attacking, so Chang wouldn't notice Kathy. However, a new problem arose, since while she attacked, Kathy could never get close enough without chancing getting caught in the crossfire.
It was a gamble, but Bea tried it anyway. She began only shooting the seeds from one direction, so Chang's back was towards Kathy.
The Shapeshifter didn't hesitate. Immediately, after the opportunity presented itself, she leapt towards the cowboy.
Her large feline body fell through the air silently, the constant gunfire drowning out any other noise. The claws in her paws snapped out, while her tails also prepared to strike.
She moved perfectly, nevertheless, in the last moment, Chang glanced up at her in surprise. He felt something was wrong, because of the strange change in Bea's attacks, but the Shapeshifter's appearance wasn't something he expected.
Just before Kathy's paws met with his body, Chang raised his weapon sideways, so instead of flesh, they struck the metal weapon.
An angry growl escaped the leopard's mouth as Kathy pushed the man to the ground. Her mouth closed in and nearly bit off Chang's face. However, in the last moment, he pulled the gatling rifle's trigger.
The sudden sideways force sent both the Shapeshifter and cowboy stumbling.
Kathy recovered quicker, so she barely had time to duck behind cover. Soon, Chang's insane laughter echoed through the woods as he glanced around for his new prey.
"Now, this is an interesting development! Sorry Shapeshifter, but my heart is already Missy's, and I'm an old-fashioned man who only does monogamy! If you're so desperate, I can introduce you to other men who you can throw yourself on!"
Suddenly, the foliage above Chang moved. He took aim and shot without even looking up, but instead of a dead leopard, only a large branch landed near him.
He blinked in confusion, and soon a piercing pain attacked his mind. Kathy's metal tail easily went through the man's thigh, leaving him motionless and in agony.
Chang whipped around with an angry expression and began shooting at the Shapeshifter. Her tail's end piece detached, and she ran behind a tree for cover.
"You know, I had enough of this forest, Missy! I give you five seconds to surrender, then I'll go all out!… Five!… Four!…"
As he began counting loudly, the gatling rifle glowed in his hand, rapidly growing in size.
"Three!… Two!… One!… Times up, Missy!"
The glow quickly dispersed, leaving behind a monstrosity. The gatling rifle nearly quadrupled in size. The barrel grew the length of an average human, and instead of one rotating barrel, there were six!
Metal straps went from the weapon to Chang's back, stabilizing it completely. As he pulled the trigger, the barrels began spinning rapidly.
Just their sound was nearly as loud as gunfire, however, it didn't compare to when the first bullet left the weapon…
One extremely loud explosion resounded after another. The spinning barrels shot bullets much faster and with much more power than any railgun possibly could.
Each bullet went through multiple trees, cutting them down near instantly. After one second, a large part of Bea's forest disappeared under the constant barrage.
From the outside, it seemed Chang's new weapon shot out flames, since every second more than ten thousand bullets left the six barrels.
They quickly heated up until the entire barrels glowed red. Heavy smoke filled the air, which only increased when the icy winds blew through the destroyed forest.
It took about twenty seconds of constant fire from Chang's weapon to cut down every single tree.
However, as the smoke settled and disappeared, he noticed that both Missy and the Shapeshifter were missing.
"Did I actually kill them? Wasn't I supposed to capture them?"
While whispering to himself, Chang began looking over the destroyed forest, but found no signs of the corpses. Eventually, he gave up the search and headed back to their base without care.
"I either killed them or they somehow managed to escape… Huh, I hope Missy survived! It would be a real shame if the world lost those perfect breasts!"
Chang continued grinning as he imagined holding and playing with them. He was so absorbed in his fantasies that he never noticed the tiny bug fly towards him.
The strange bug also carried a small seed and, with it, she landed inside the cowboy's pocket.
The man happily whistled and pulled his weapon apart. He blew the smoke off the barrels and put his two revolvers back into their holster.
He then began typing on his communicator, and a few moments later, Xinya opened a portal. Chang stepped through it carelessly, unaware of the foreign items in his pocket!
