Another Demon Lord In Tensura

Chapter 18: The Wrath Of Milim

The grand banquet hall was alive with celebration, the air filled with laughter, music, and the clinking of glasses. The alliance between Eryndor and Soma had been sealed, and the future seemed brighter than ever. Kali stood at the center of it all, her draconic form glowing softly in the candlelight. She exchanged pleasantries with the king of Soma and his advisors, her mind already racing with plans for the future.

But then, without warning, the ground shook violently. A deafening explosion echoed through the palace, shattering windows and sending debris flying. The once joyous atmosphere turned to chaos as screams filled the air.

*"Warning: Detecting an overwhelming concentration of magicules,"* **Chrysalis** announced, its voice calm but urgent. *"Source identified: Milim Nava, the Destroyer."*

Kali's flames flickered intensely as she processed the information. Milim Nava—the daughter of Veldanava, a being of unimaginable power—was here. And she was furious.

Kali rushed to a balcony, her draconic eyes narrowing as she surveyed the scene. The city of Soma was in flames, its once elegant streets now a battlefield. In the distance, a small figure hovered in the air, her pink hair flowing like a banner of destruction. It was Milim, her eyes glowing with rage as she unleashed devastating blasts of energy.

"Soma will pay for what they've done!" Milim's voice echoed across the city, her words filled with grief and fury. "They killed my pet dragon! They will suffer!"

Kali's mind raced. She had to act quickly. "Grommash, Lunara, Sylvara—we need to get you out of here. Now."

Using the last of her magicules, Kali activated a teleportation spell, her flames flickering intensely as she channeled her energy. "This will take you back to Eryndor. Stay safe."

Grommash protested, his voice filled with concern. "Leader, we can't leave you here!"

Kali's draconic eyes glowed with determination. "I'll be fine. But I need you to protect Eryndor. Go!"

With a flash of light, Grommash, Lunara, and Sylvara vanished, leaving Kali alone in the chaos. She took a deep breath, her flames flickering softly as she prepared to face the situation.

Kali moved quickly, her draconic form blending into the shadows as she made her way to a vantage point outside the palace. She needed to assess the situation without drawing Milim's attention. From her position, she could see the extent of the destruction—entire blocks of the city were reduced to rubble, and the air was thick with smoke and the cries of the wounded.

*"Analysis: Milim Nava's magicule output is beyond measurable limits,"* **Chrysalis** reported. *"Engaging her directly would be suicidal. Recommend observation and strategic retreat."*

Kali nodded, her flames flickering softly. "Agreed. But we need to understand why she's here. What happened to her pet dragon?"

As she watched, Milim continued her rampage, her attacks growing more intense. The soldiers of Soma tried to fight back, but their efforts were futile. Milim's power was on a completely different level.

Kali's sharp eyes caught a group of Soma's royal advisors fleeing the palace, their faces filled with fear. She moved silently, her **Mimicry** skill allowing her to blend into the shadows. As she approached, she overheard their panicked conversation.

"This is all because of that dragon!" one advisor hissed. "I told the king it was a bad idea to hunt it down, but he wouldn't listen!"

Another advisor groaned. "And now Milim Nava is here to destroy us. We're doomed!"

Kali's flames flickered with anger. So, Soma had killed Milim's pet dragon. No wonder she was enraged. But this level of destruction was unacceptable. Kali knew she had to find a way to stop Milim before the entire kingdom was wiped out.

Kali retreated to a safer location, her mind racing. She couldn't fight Milim directly—her power was beyond anything Kali had ever encountered. But perhaps she could reason with her. Milim was grieving, and her anger was clouding her judgment. If Kali could appeal to her emotions, she might be able to de-escalate the situation.

*"Warning: Approaching Milim Nava carries extreme risk,"* **Chrysalis** cautioned. *"Recommend alternative strategies."*

Kali's draconic eyes glowed with determination. "I don't have a choice. If I don't try, Soma will be destroyed. And if Milim turns her attention to Eryndor next, we won't stand a chance."
