Chapter 53: Chapter 52: ZAGE First and Second Employees

After leaving ZAGE, Yugo and Yuna walked through the bustling city streets, reflecting on their visit. The neon lights of nearby shops flickered as the evening air carried the chatter of pedestrians and the distant hum of cars passing by.

"Wow, that Zaboru Renkonan dude is really something!" Yugo exclaimed, his voice full of excitement. "He already has a gaming company, and he's younger than us! Can you believe that, Yuna?"

Yuna nodded but remained skeptical. "It is impressive, but being that young and running a company could mean one of two things—either his parents are loaded, or he's just incredibly smart. I really hope it's the latter. Though, to be honest, youth often means a lack of experience. That's what worries me."

Yugo waved off her concerns with a grin. "You're overthinking it! We'll be fine. I mean, he created ZAS! And believe me, my gut is never wrong!"

Yuna sighed, rubbing her temple. "I can't believe I'm letting my fate be decided by your gut instinct... But fine, let's hope you're right."

The two hurried home, eager to prepare for their first official day at ZAGE the next morning. Yugo immediately began researching additional electronic assembly techniques, while Yuna meticulously organized her notes on programming and component structures.

Meanwhile, back at ZAGE, Zaboru sat at his desk, drafting employment contracts for his new hires. He wanted to keep things straightforward and fair while ensuring the company's interests were protected. After hours of refining the details, he finalized the contract:

Employees will receive a starting salary of 10,000 yen per week (subject to adjustment in the future).Employees must complete their assigned tasks efficiently and with precision.Employees are prohibited from disclosing company secrets, including proprietary component designs and software structures.Employees will work five days a week, with flexibility depending on workload and deadlines.Overtime pay will be provided for any extra hours worked, calculated at a fair rate.Employees will have opportunities for skill advancement and potential promotions within the company as it grows.

Zaboru leaned back in his chair, satisfied with the structure. "Alright, this should do it. If they agree, I can start training them right away on assembling ZEPS and game cartridges. Finally, some real progress."

The following morning, Yugo and Yuna arrived at ZAGE on time, both looking eager yet slightly nervous. The small office space seemed humble but well-organized. Zaboru greeted them at the door, ushering them inside.

"Welcome back!" he said. "I've prepared your contracts. Take your time reading them, and if everything looks good, you can sign right away."

The twins nodded and carefully examined the contracts, ensuring that everything was clear and fair. Yugo's eyes skimmed through the pages quickly, while Yuna took her time, double-checking the clauses.

After a few minutes, they exchanged glances and nodded in agreement.

"The contract looks good, Renkonan-san," Yuna said. "Where do we sign?"

Zaboru pointed to the designated signature lines, and both siblings signed their names.

"Congratulations!" Zaboru said with a grin as he shook their hands. "You two are now officially the first employees of ZAGE!"

Yugo grinned widely, while Yuna smiled with a mixture of relief and excitement.

"Alright, let's get started!" Zaboru said, leading them to the workspace. He had already set up pre-assembled ZEPS units, leaving only the final component integration and casing to be completed.

"I'll walk you through the assembly process step by step. This is where all the parts come together to form a functioning console. First, we attach the motherboard to the main frame, making sure the connectors align properly…"

Yugo watched closely, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Whoa! This is awesome! What kind of processor does this use? And how did you design the circuit board layout?"

Zaboru chuckled. "One question at a time, Yugo! I'll explain everything, but let's focus on assembly first."

As Zaboru continued to guide them, Yuna followed the instructions carefully, taking note of every detail. She focused on precision and technique, ensuring that each component was securely in place. Yugo, on the other hand, kept bombarding Zaboru with enthusiastic questions about the technology behind ZEPS, clearly fascinated by the engineering side of things.

"Man, I can already tell this is going to be a great job!" Yugo said, still grinning.

Yuna smirked. "Yeah, yeah, just make sure you actually get work done instead of geeking out over the hardware."

Zaboru laughed. "It's good to be curious, but don't worry—I'll make sure you both stay on track."

After an hour of guided assembly, Zaboru decided to test their skills. He handed them a fresh set of components and asked them to assemble a ZEPS unit from scratch while he observed.

Yugo eagerly grabbed the motherboard, examining it with fascination before carefully placing it in the correct position. Yuna, with her methodical approach, ensured all the screws were properly tightened and the connections secure. When they finally finished, Zaboru powered on the console.

The startup screen appeared flawlessly.

"Not bad at all," Zaboru said, nodding in approval. "You two catch on quickly. Keep up this pace, and soon you'll be assembling these in your sleep."

The twins exchanged triumphant looks.

"Alright, take a short break, and then we'll move on to assembling the game cartridges," Zaboru instructed.

As the day continued, the twins grew more comfortable with the assembly process, marking the beginning of their journey with ZAGE. With his first employees officially on board, Zaboru felt a sense of accomplishment.

This was just the start of something big.
