Apocalypse: Transmigrated with Overlord System

Liora heard continuous ding in her mind back to back. Her eyes widened as she looked around herself and wondered who had spoken.

But she did not find anyone else aside from the disgusting creature in front of her. The creature was the only one capable of making such strange noises.

Grrrraaagh… Mmmmoooan...

The strange creature attacked her again when it noticed she was distracted. Hunger filled its eyes as it smelled the flesh of a human.

It lunged at her with its claws, wanting to tear her apart.

"You filthy thing!" Liora screamed as she stared at the lunging figure. Disgust was evident in her eyes.

She ripped the glass shard from the jagged scrap of metal, feeling the sharp edges dig into her palm as she gripped it tightly. Without hesitation, she lunged forward and drove the shard straight into the creature's glaring eye.

The sound of it piercing through the flesh was sickening, and she twisted the shard viciously, savoring the pain it caused. The creature's screech echoed in her ears, a distorted sound that only fueled her anger.

Eeeeaaahhh! Aaaaarghhh!

A smirk appeared on her face as the zombie screamed in pain. It seems its eyes were the weakest part of its body.

"Bloody hell! How dare you try to eat this princess? I will show you the consequence of attacking a noble princess," Liora declared with a smirk and an air of haughtiness.

Screech. Liora pulled the glass shard and twisted it back into the middle of its forehead. She delivered a powerful kick to its abdomen, sending the zombie flying two meters away from her.

Arghhhhhhhh!!

The zombie fell with a thud on the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

It twitched several times and screeched in intense agony before falling completely silent after a few seconds.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Liora heard the familiar ding and the barrage of notifications at the same time. She clutched the glass shard in her hand.

"Hey! Come to the front, you cowards! Why are you only speaking..."

Liora shouted as she looked around herself while clutching the glass shard tightly. She was ready to strike whoever appeared in front of her.

[Princess Liora! I cannot come in front of you.]

[I am a virtual robot.]

"Fuck you!" Liora shouted again when she heard the mechanical voice in her head. "Come out or be prepared to be hacked to death by me!"

[Do not be angry, Princess Liora. You cannot kill me...]

The system responded with disdain but continued.

[You are dead in your world, Princess, and now you have appeared in another world that is facing an apocalypse.]

"What? Dead... You bullshit... What did you say? How can I be dead? I am perfectly fine, alive, and kicking! You dare to curse me, you short-lived ghost!"

Princess Liora cursed the system in one breath. Her anger reached its peak, but her voice died down when she looked at her hands. Her gaze fell on the strange clothes she was wearing.

"Wow! What is with this?" she muttered, stretching the skinny jeans on her legs. "Why is it sticking to my leg? How ungraceful!"

But she could not deny that it felt comfortable to wear.

The system remained silent.

Liora looked around herself again at the dead body of the strange creature, the peculiar buildings, and the scrapyard of metal. Everything was unfamiliar. She had never seen such things in her entire world.

"Are you telling the truth? Did I really die in my original world?" Liora asked with hesitation, still unable to accept the truth.

[Yes, Princess. You died from overdrinking. You poisoned yourself with liquor.]

Liora's eyes widened in disbelief. "What? I died because of overdrinking?" she shouted. Embarrassment crept over her at the thought of dying such a shameful death.

"What do I do now?" Liora thought to herself. Sadness filled her eyes as she missed her home, her parents, and her brothers.

She had died. Her heart ached as her thoughts turned to her parents, the loving Emperor and Empress, who had always doted on her despite her flaws. 

How devastated they must be, mourning the loss of their only daughter. Tears welled up in her eyes as she wondered if they would ever forget her. 

Would the palace grow quiet without her loud complaints and laughter? Would her brothers, who always teased her, move on as if she had never existed? 

The thought pierced her chest like a dagger. She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms as grief surged through her.

How could this have happened? How could she have been so careless, drinking herself into oblivion and leaving her family to bear such sorrow?

Ding. The system initialized a virtual screen.

She heard another notification and watched as a green screen loaded in front of her with a button labeled "Dashboard."

The system spoke again. Princess Liora was astonished to see the screen floating before her. Her large eyes shone with amazement.

"What kind of magic is this?"

[It is not magic. It is an advanced system from the fifty-first century, designed to help people in an apocalypse.]

The system's tone carried pride, as though it took joy in being one of the few successful AI systems created by top scientists.

Liora rolled her eyes at the system's proud tone but clicked on the dashboard button. The screen changed to display another page filled with her image and numerous details.
