Apocalypse: Transmigrated with Overlord System

Chapter 5: Chapter 05: legendary witchcraft....

Liora instantly felt her body fill with boundless energy. Her body felt as light as a feather. With so much energy, she felt like she could run fast and kill hundreds of zombies.

Liora opened the panel and found her strength had increased from 15 to 315.

[It is advised to kill more zombies and upgrade your level.]

The system dropped another notification and went silent.

Liora nodded to herself. The system was right. She would have to upgrade to survive in this strange world. Just as she resolved to use her newfound strength, she heard various strange sounds coming from a distance.

Her eyes started shining as the opportunity came knocking at her door.

"Wait for me! I am coming!" Liora shouted and made a gesture of clenching her fist. Then she ran in the direction of the strange noise at full speed, her body bursting with full, rigorous strength.

Liora ran for a short period of time and finally arrived in an opening. Her mood brightened as she finally looked at the sky; she almost thought that she was lost in that ruin.

Smack!

"Go away! Filthy creatures...."

Liora snapped from her good mood as she heard a woman's voice and looked in the direction of the smacking.

A woman with long hair was shooing the zombies away with a wooden stick, desperation and anger clearly written on her face.

Her face had almost become pale with so much blood lost, but still, she was gritting her teeth and shooing away the zombies, who were ready to feast on her and the unconscious man beside her.

Liora looked closely and found that a young man was actually lying beside the woman. He was probably unconscious. Liora had not noticed him because he was covered in dust and injuries, and not an inch of skin was visible on his body.

"Rex, you should go! You can escape. Leave us!" the woman shouted with desperation in her voice. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at another young man who was fighting with zombies.

He was the only one in their group with fewer injuries and was still able to fight.

"No! I will not leave you behind! Just wait a little longer; we will get out of this situation," but his voice shook as even he knew that it was impossible to return unscathed from this horde of zombies.

But he did not want to leave his friends alone and run like a coward. He would die with them or leave them. He would never be able to live freely at the cost of their lives.

Liora was speechless at their situation, and she was almost moved to tears as she looked at their affection.

The three of them were surrounded by dozens of zombies from all sides. Liora realized that if she didn't act, these people would soon become zombie food.

"Damn it!" Liora cursed loudly. She clenched her fists as her newfound strength coursed through her body.

The closest zombie lunged toward her, but before it could get close, Liora punched it in the gut. The zombie flew through the air and landed 100 meters away, crashing into others and taking them down in the process.

Liora didn't stop. Another zombie lunged at her, and she kicked it with all her might. It flew backward, knocking over a group of zombies like bowling pins.

The unexpected throw of the zombie shocked the young man and woman to the core. They thought a flying zombie was coming for them. They were scared shitless, and the color drained from their faces as they looked at zombies flying one by one in the same direction.

But wait! Why did it seem so strange? The zombies were actually withering in pain and shrieking.

And all of them landed in the exact same position. In no time, the bodies of the zombies created a small pile.

Finally, the young man and woman spotted a young girl with fiery red hair in the direction from where all the zombies came flying.

"Huh!" Liora stretched her hand and huffed with full energy! "It feels so great to punch these mindless creatures," Liora muttered.

She looked at her own fist, then at the pile of zombies she had just created. A slow grin spread across her face.

"This is insane!" she said, her voice filled with disbelief. Her heart raced with excitement, and she almost felt like whistling at herself. This strength was beyond anything she had ever imagined.

Liora thought to herself in excitement, but she was unaware of the intense gaze of two shocked people.

She charged forward, punching and kicking every zombie in her way. Her strength made quick work of them, each blow sending the undead flying. It was as if she was unstoppable in the world.

The woman fighting with the stick froze in shock. The injured man stopped swinging the hockey stick long ago, his hand trembling with excitement. They both stared at the scene before them as if they had just seen a miracle.

The woman finally found her voice and called out, "Who are you?" Her tone was filled with awe and confusion.

Liora waved her hand dismissively and said, "Eh! Just treat me like the god sent a savior for you."

She continued and pointed at the defeated monsters. "This is what happens when anyone messes with me. These low-level zombies are nothing compared to my strength. If I wanted to, I could wipe out an entire horde in seconds."

The man and the woman exchanged glances. Their lips twitched as they tried to suppress their reactions.

The woman's face twitched as she struggled to hold back a laugh.

The man scratched his head as he looked unsure whether to thank her or hide his embarrassment over her blatant boasting.

Liora was not done yet. She raised her fist dramatically. "This right here," she said as she wiggled her fingers for emphasis. "This is a weapon of mass destruction. Did you see how far that zombie flew? One punch from me and bam. Instant pile of corpses. I am basically unstoppable."

The woman coughed into her hand as she tried to stifle her laugh. "Uh, yes, very impressive," she said in a shaky voice.

The man nodded with his lips pressed tightly together as he fought to keep a straight face. "Y-yeah, unstoppable," he said, though his eyes showed his amusement.

Liora continued to boast, but the man and woman froze. Their expressions shifted from amusement to horror as their eyes widened. They began frantically motioning behind her.

"W-what is with those faces?" Liora asked as she tilted her head. She raised an eyebrow as she noticed their sudden change in behavior.

The woman pointed a trembling finger over Liora's shoulder. "B-behind you," she stammered.

Liora blinked in confusion. She turned around slowly and found herself face-to-face with a horde of zombies. They were all standing up from the pile of zombies and twisting their bodies, dragging themselves toward her.

Their hungry eyes were filled with anger and hunger towards her.

"Garhhh! Ahhhhh…!"

They stretched their twisted hands toward her, trying to claw her skin and devour it.

Her jaw dropped. "Bullshit! You have got to be kidding me," she muttered.

"How did they stand up again? I definitely broke their bodies! But how..."

"Is this fucking legendary witchcraft...."

Suddenly, the system voice rang to answer her question.
