Chapter 90: “The War Erupts – Heroes Rise, and Shen Descends
Arcane Drifters – Chapter 89: "The War Erupts – Heroes Rise, and Shen Descends!"
The sky was no longer blue.
The world was drowning in fire, thunder, darkness, and fear. Arcane Generals had emerged in every corner of the planet — thousands of them. Cities fell, mountains broke, and screams filled the air.
Eliz Betham stood alone atop a broken wall, her staff crackling with cursed black magic. Around her, over forty Arcane Generals circled like vultures. Their leader, AR-8, sneered.
"You're the little sister of Kenya, aren't you?" he hissed. "You'll be the first to die."
"I don't die," Eliz muttered, eyes glowing violet. "I erase."
She slammed her staff into the ground. A black cyclone erupted from beneath her feet, ripping apart the air and tearing into the generals. AR-9 to AR-13 screamed as the wind crushed them into smoke. But more came — teleporting, laughing, attacking.
Eliz coughed, blood on her lips, her arms shaking. But she didn't stop. She gritted her teeth and kept chanting.
Far from her, Ruke faced a field of lightning and death. Nearly a hundred Arcane Generals surrounded him — AR-4 among them.
"You're just a boy," AR-4 taunted.
"I'm the thunder that tears the sky," Ruke answered.
He clapped his palms together, then punched the earth. Thunder cracked in every direction, and beams of dragon energy exploded outward. Generals fell left and right. But their numbers didn't shrink fast enough.
Ruke was panting, his jacket in tatters, electricity running wild across his arms. He growled as his fists bled, still fighting.
And elsewhere, Kenya Naro stood in the center of a ruined battlefield.
Ten of the top Arcane Generals — from AR-1 to AR-10 — floated around him like black flames.
"I see why your sister fights," AR-2 said. "You both inherited that fire."
"I didn't inherit anything," Kenya said as fire exploded around his body. "I earned this rage."
He slammed both fists together.
Fire Demon Evolution Mode burst open, summoning a colossal phoenix behind him. Kenya charged, sending flames across the battlefield that lit up the sky. He clashed with AR-1, fist to claw, their shockwaves collapsing mountains.
But even with all their strength…
They were surrounded. Exhausted. Wounded.
In the heavens above, Zaniel stood on a floating spire, quietly watching. His arms were crossed, and his glowing white eyes scanned the entire battlefield.
He didn't speak.
He simply observed, waiting for something — or someone.
Far away at Drifter Academy, Nolan suddenly stood up, his book falling to the floor. He looked through the walls of the building as if he could see across the planet.
"That energy…" he whispered. "He's coming."
In the west, Commander Ryulga was cutting through Arcane armies, twin crescent blades flashing like whirlwinds. One swing destroyed twenty at once. A roar escaped him as he fought, refusing to back down.
Around the world, legendary warriors, officials, and old captains of the Drifting Force fought with everything they had.
But it wasn't enough.
Kenya dropped to one knee.
Ruke stumbled, coughing blood.
Eliz collapsed to the ground, eyes still burning with magic.
They were surrounded.
The Arcane Generals moved in.
And then…
Everything stopped.
The wind froze. The Arcane Generals all paused, turning their heads to the sky.
The clouds above twisted into a spiral of golden-black light.
A streak of blazing cosmic energy tore through the sky like a falling star.
And then—
BOOOOOM!!!
The sky shattered.
A figure dropped from the heavens and landed in the center of the battlefield with such force that the earth cracked for miles.
The light faded.
There he stood.
Shen Karguro.
Pure Identity Form – Two Awakened.
Hair glowing white and blue, eyes like infinite galaxies, and aura burning like a second sun. He wasn't smiling. He wasn't playing.
He was here.
The Arcane Generals across the battlefield… took one step back in fear.
Kenya looked up, wide-eyed. "Shen…?"
Eliz gasped. "He really came…"
Ruke tried to laugh, but tears filled his eyes. "Took you long enough."
Shen's eyes moved across the field. He saw the wounded, the broken cities, the burning skies.
And then, he finally spoke.
His voice was low… calm… and godlike.
"I sensed the world crying," he said.
"I sensed my friends fighting."
He raised his hand.
The Arcane Generals trembled.
"I'm here now," Shen said, his aura exploding outward like a universe.
"This war… ends with me."
