"I was so scared… I almost got caught. They're really not to be underestimated."

---

"Tsk. To think they managed to put all my bodies into dormancy and even severed the link to my main consciousness… Technology truly is terrifying."

---

"...No, not yet. Splitting should be the last resort."

---

"They've handled all my other vessels… all except Mobius. I need to find a way to control this body and slip away unnoticed."

---

"Saria... I contacted you right away, and even invited you to witness the birth of my greatest achievement. I didn't expect you to treat me like this."

---

"I don't get it. Do you really bear no ill intentions toward me? Even so... you're so firm, so relentless."

---

"To hurt in the name of love... I always thought that was just a hollow excuse."

---

"I never thought I'd become the one experiencing it. What a rare, peculiar situation."

---

"Rhine Lab, acting behind my back—the head of the philosophy department—like this..."

---

"I'm not ready to end things in despair, like some stressed salaryman. No... there's no rush. I'll play with her first."

---

Saria... Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?

---

"I want to see what tricks you have left, Rhine Lab. I want to see just how long your heavy-handed kindness toward me will last."

"..."

'Why can't I read her mind?'

---

"In another moment, down went Mobius after it, never once considering how in the world she was to—"

Years ago.

"Hehehe... After a year of effort, this diamond-hearted girl must be falling for me!"

'No one understands love better than I do!'

"With the depth of my memory and experience, getting someone like Saria to fall for me is easy. After all, love is just the result of hormonal secretion."

'Now's the time. I just need to take the initiative and confess. Victory is assured!'

"Then I'll take the slow approach—chipping away at her defenses, 'eroding' Saria—and finally convince her to remove my restraints."

"Heh... Even if I can't read her mind, I—Black Snake—can still easily manipulate hearts."

"They underestimated me. It's just a suppressor—it can be broken at any time!"

"...Still, marrying someone so short-lived… that's a new kind of experience."

"How desperate does one have to be to fall in love, knowing that gap in lifespan?"

'No matter. Just enjoy the game.'

---

Ten years later…

The alarm clock rang, right on time.

A white-haired Vouivre woman rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up in bed.

"...That same dream again?"

Wearing nothing but thin underwear, she stood, opened her closet, and began picking out clothes.

After dressing, she reheated some frozen food in the microwave, checked the clock, then turned on her computer and began work.

As the director of Rhine Lab's Defense Department, her days were always busy—unlike a certain someone in the Philosophy Department, who spent every day on eccentric whims.

A few stray strands of green hair peeked out from under the covers. Their owner remained sound asleep.

Saria quietly lifted a corner of the blanket and checked to see that the collar on the other's neck was still functioning properly.

"Let me sleep a little longer… I stayed up too late last night..."

Mobius mumbled drowsily, then turned over and snuggled deeper into the blanket.

It was always a struggle for Phidian to compete with a Vouivre's body.

"…It's time to get up. We're going to be late for work."

Saria gently shook Mobius.

"Don't wanna! I'm sleeping!"

Mobius wrapped herself tightly in the quilt, curling into a ball, and rolled to the far side of the bed.

"Well…"

Saria sighed, then turned to the closet and took out a white lab coat and a glasses case.

With practiced ease, she walked back and peeled off the blanket from Mobius's naked body using both hands.

She was used to this.

"We're going to be late. Get up already."

"It's your fault for tormenting me yesterday... I'm still mad. When will this poor Phidian finally be able to stand proudly over a Vouivre?"

---

"Good morning, Director Saria. Director Mobius."

In the hallway of the Rhine Lab building, staff members respectfully greeted the two directors as they walked past.

Saria gave them a curt nod. Mobius, meanwhile, cheerfully waved back.

"Hello, hello~ Honestly, Saria, you should smile more often," Mobius teased, giving Saria a nudge with her elbow.

"Cut it out."

Saria responded with a resigned sigh.

The staff who witnessed the scene averted their eyes, pretending not to see anything.

The two directors flirted openly—and that was far beyond what ordinary researchers could dare comment on.

Rhine Lab – Confidential File

[Project Name]: Infinite Mobius Egg (Suppressed)

[Threat Level]: Unknown

[Supervisor]: Director Saria

[Containment Measures]: A neural suppression collar capable of stabilizing divergent thoughts and consciousness. Dr. Mobius must also be administered [Inert Pills] on a routine basis. These pills are composed of seaborn blood, demon fragments, and concentrated sloth essence. Together, they serve to suppress Mobius's inherent madness.

Special Protocol: All personnel interacting with Dr. Mobius are required to wear a psychic-insulation suit.

Note: Given the complex personal relationship between Director Mobius and Director Saria—her nominal "spouse"—Director Saria must carry [Sanity Potions] on her person at all times. These are to prevent Mobius from inadvertently reading her mind, which could destabilize Mobius's condition.

---

[Project Summary]

Infinite Mobius Egg possesses limitless potential.

Input the genetic data of a Feline, and a Mobius of the Feline race will be born. Input Ursus genes, and a Mobius of Ursus origin will emerge. Draco genetic code? A Draco Mobius will take form.

Theoretically, it is even possible to deceive Laterano laws and bypass the Sarkaz's ocean of consciousness: by inputting the genetic signature of a Sankta, one can create a Sankta Mobius. With Sarkaz genes, a Sarkaz Mobius.

If a gene fragment is modified—or even artificially fabricated—it will still result in the birth of a new Mobius.

But please note: all entities born from this project are [Mobius].

When the number of Mobius reaches a critical threshold, Dr. Mobius will begin to exhibit signs of insanity.

---

[Supplementary Notes]

① Do not allow Dr. Mobius to be out of Director Saria's line of sight for more than one hour.

P.S. Activities requiring privacy—such as bathing or defecation—should be compressed to within one hour. Otherwise, Director Saria will forcibly enter.

"I protest! Don't I have Terran rights?!" —Mobius

---

② Do not attempt to undermine the stability of the family formed by Mobius and Saria. This includes, but is not limited to:

Spreading rumors

Interfering as a third party (regardless of which individual is targeted)

Using derogatory language to insult Director Saria or Dr. Mobius's sexual orientation

P.S. As reproductive isolation between the two is still unverified, it is recommended they adopt orphans under the age of three months if necessary. Children can help maintain familial stability.

"P.S. Saria, your experience is seriously weird!" —Muelsyse (entry deleted)

---

③ Under no circumstances should anyone attempt to kill Mobius.

This body serves as a cage, a limiter, and a bridge—allowing Her to interact with the outside world.

P.S. We do not know what may happen if this vessel is destroyed. But whether she returns through memory, rises from the sea, or crawls up from the depths of the earth—the result will be catastrophic.

The current state is the best possible outcome in this delicate stalemate.

"I'll do my best to protect Her… I promised Her." —Saria

---

④ There are several unusual entities who appear to have an intense interest in Dr. Mobius.

Direct contact with these entities is strongly discouraged.

P.S. While agreements have been made with some of them, Director Saria is doing everything in her power to avoid any further contact.

—Parvis

---

[Loss of Control and Suppression Procedures]

Minor Loss of Control:

When the fluorescence on Mobius's collar changes from green to red, this indicates that the suppression system has failed.

If Mobius shows any resistance, immediately contact Director Saria—she will personally subdue Her.

P.S. The collar's color corresponds to Mobius's emotional state. The worse Her mood, the faster it turns red.

---

Moderate Loss of Control:

Cracks begin to appear across Mobius's body. Staff not equipped with top-tier tactical visors will begin to perceive hallucinations behind Her. Mobius will also begin actively altering Her own form.

P.S.

Do not look.

Do not listen.

Do not think.

Do not speak.

Just remain still.

If you have [Inert Tablets], simply place one on your open palm.

At this point, it usually means that Dr. Mobius no longer wishes to be observed.

—Dorothy

[High-Level Loss of Control (Hypothetical)]

In accordance with emergency protocols, Rhine Lab must dispatch liaison personnel to the following regions to request external assistance:

Kjerag (Recommended)

Yan Empire

Ursus Empire (Not recommended)

Victoria (Not recommended)

Duchy of Kashchey (Extremely not recommended)

Deep Sea (Deleted)

[First Recorded Suppression Event]

"Saria... Are you really going to do this? Do you truly intend to destroy the culmination of my life's research?"

Inside Rhine Lab's Experimental Base No. 404, a Phidian woman with long green hair and a white coat stood rigid, her expression twisted in anger. A monocle gleamed on her left eye as she glared at a white-haired Vouivre woman, who had just punched a massive hole through the explosion-proof door.

"...You've taken the wrong path."

Saria stepped forward calmly, clad in Rhine Lab's newest Originium-enhanced combat gloves and a multifunctional tactical suit. A filtration mask covered her mouth, and high-spec tactical goggles shielded her eyes.

"Don't be so sanctimonious, Saria... My research has nothing to do with the Balloy Experiment or the Loken Water Tank Case. I haven't harmed anyone."

She said nothing.

Instead, Saria raised one hand and pointed at Mobius—who was slumped against the wall, wearing a security uniform.

In the next moment, Mobius—just about to raise her weapon—suddenly coughed up blood.

From her stomach, head, and limbs, dense white bones violently burst out.

The Mobius in the white coat visibly trembled.

Behind her, the other grotesque Mobius clones adjusted their postures, alert and ready—but did not advance.

"In fact, if this technology succeeds, research institutions everywhere will no longer need to worry about the lack of experimental subjects. These clones—no, I shouldn't even call them that anymore. The diversity of my 'children' is so vast they can meet nearly all experimental needs!"

Mobius reasoned, trying to appeal.

Saria remained silent.

"Look around you—how many people still suffer from incurable illnesses? How can we further the development of the Terran organ industry? How many scientific breakthroughs have been delayed because there are no proper test subjects, forcing desperate hands to reach for innocent lives?"

"I'm saving them."

Her voice rose with passion.

"Imagine a world where countless, low-cost, diverse 'Mobius' can be endlessly supplied. Whether for science or medicine, there would no longer be a need to harm anyone. I'm offering a future!"

"....."

"Saria... Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is?"

Behind her, the twisted Mobius clones could no longer contain themselves.

They attacked in waves.

And Saria didn't answer.

"Insanity is doing the exact... same damn thing... over and over again expecting... shit to change... That. Is. Crazy."

Saria silently clenched her left fist. With a gleam of white light, she punched clean through a towering, seven-meter-tall centipede-like Mobius with multiple arms and legs that had lunged at her.

From her right, a dagger-wielding Feline-type Mobius attempted a sneak attack.

She seized it effortlessly with her right hand.

Activating her Originium technique, Saria unleashed a storm.

Bone spurs erupted like a rain of white blades, piercing the incoming Mobius entities in all directions.

The deadly rain of bone needles blossomed within their bodies like blood-red flowers.

Each Mobius clone exploded violently—shattered by their own rampaging bone structures.

Blood splashed across the battlefield.

Mobius, the original—still in her unblemished white coat—was now splattered with crimson.

She staggered, bent over, holding her stomach in pain, But still forcing herself.

"everywhere I looked all these damn pricks, everywhere I looked, doing the exact same damn thing... over and over and over and over again thinking 'this time is gonna be different' searching for the cure in meaningless way, it's frustrated me...So, Please..."

Saria tossed the dismembered clone in her hand onto the floor.

"Please, Saria. I don't care if you kill my 'children'—they're just cheap fabrications of protein, sugar, and chemicals. But please, leave the petri dish. With it, you can witness the dawn of a new era!"

"An era of abundant medical supplies... and no shortage of test subjects!"

Dr. Mobius took a step forward, hand outstretched, trying to halt her.

Saria said nothing.

She merely reached out, resting her palm on the glowing petri dish filled with swirling green solution.

Inside the petri dish, a lump of flesh squirmed continuously, releasing streams of bubbles.

"No more children will be forced onto the lab bench because of their physical defects—because the 'Mobius' will soon replace them.

No one will have to participate in Terran experimentation out of desperation for survival—because there will be cheaper, more reliable, and more obedient 'Mobius.'

The powerful and wealthy will no longer need to prey upon the weak in exchange for health—because 'Mobius' are legal, cost-effective commodities...

Do you understand what you're doing?"

Mobius stepped closer to Saria, one deliberate step at a time.

Saria remained where she stood, leaning against the petri dish, silent.

"The horror of Terran experimentation and the madness of organ trafficking—

It will all end with my [Petri Dish]!"

Her voice began to twist and distort, and fine cracks slowly appeared across her face.

"...But you will regret this."

Saria whispered softly.

Mobius froze.

The spreading cracks halted for a moment—

But then resumed, even faster than before.

"How well do you think you know me? You probably don't even—"

Before she could finish, Saria moved.

In a flash, she pulled out a collar inscribed with runes and fastened it around Mobius's neck, knocking her to the ground.

Mobius's knees were pierced outward by the bones bursting from within.

Saria retrieved a small pill and moved to place it in Mobius's mouth—

But Mobius clenched her jaw tightly, resisting.

The cracks across her body accelerated.

"... I'm sorry."

Saria murmured.

Then she placed the pill in her own mouth—

And delivered a powerful punch to Mobius's stomach.

In pain, she gasped.

Taking the opening, Saria kissed her forcefully.

Mobius struggled to resist, but the slender Phidian was no match for a Vouivre's strength.

Her teeth were pried open—

Her tongue pushed the saliva-mixed pill into her mouth—

And she felt as though she couldn't breathe.

She shoved Saria away in a panic, retching violently.

The cracks across her body slowly began to fade.

Eventually, Mobius lost consciousness.

"...You should know this device can't restrain me.

As long as I'm willing to pay a small price, I can escape anytime."

"But pretending to play house like this for the first time... it's actually kind of fun.

So I'm in no hurry."

"After all, Vouivre don't have short lifespans... but they're not that long either."

"Saria, you should know—if we can inject high concentrations of [Laziness] into a pill, then we can also inject [Love] into it."

"...I don't need it."

"Hehe... shouldn't you be aware by now? she's like a child—trying something new for the first time.

she's curious about all of this. Sure, the first time always leaves an impression, but it doesn't mean she feels the same way about you."

"...I know."

"Even your... act of reproduction... might be seen by her as nothing more than playing with a toy."

"...Kristen, let's stop the small talk and begin the experiment."

"...Still as stubborn as ever."
