Arriving in the Naruto world by filling out a form

Chapter 13: An arm less but experience is whole

Ren wandered through the streets of Konoha, taking in the atmosphere of the village festival. It was the last day of the year, and with the Academy set to open tomorrow, the village was buzzing with activity.

Compared to previous years, the festival was quieter, as people were still recovering from the Nine-Tails attack. Even so, the villagers were trying to move forward, celebrating in a subdued yet determined manner.

For the first time since arriving in this world, Ren decided to take a proper break.

He allowed himself to sleep in past sunrise, skipping his usual early-morning training. Although he didn't train, he still did some light stretches to keep his body loose and in shape.

Ren spent the day roaming around Konoha, visiting many of its iconic locations. The Hokage Tower, Hokage Monument, The Academy and even the 44th training ground although that one was only from afar.

Walking through the village, Ren truly appreciated its beauty.

"Konoha is massive, but beyond that… it's just beautiful. The colors, the energy, the air—this world surpasses my old one by far."

By noon, his tour was complete, and he decided it was time to fill his stomach.

Ren headed to Ichiraku Ramen, where he was greeted by Teuchi.

"Oh, welcome back! Haven't seen you in a while," Teuchi said with a smile.

Ren blinked in mild surprise. "You remember me?"

Considering how many customers Ichiraku must get daily, Ren found it a bit absurd that Teuchi still recognized him. However, he didn't dwell on it for long.

After enjoying his meal, Ren paid and left, feeling satisfied—but his peaceful day was about to take an interesting turn.

The moment Ren stepped outside, a kid suddenly collided with him.

Although Ren called him a kid, the boy was actually nearly a head taller than him, despite Ren already standing at 4 feet.

The boy quickly muttered, "Sorry!" before rushing away.

Ren immediately checked his pouch—his money was missing.

"Tch. A pickpocket?"

Without wasting time, Ren sprinted after the boy.

The thief noticed he was being chased and increased his speed, weaving through the crowd to escape.

However, Ren's Agility was far too high, and he was closing the gap with ease.

Seeing this, the boy began moving erratically, attempting to throw Ren off.

Soon, they reached a less crowded area, and the boy, realizing he couldn't escape, turned around and threw a punch at Ren.

Ren didn't flinch.

With minimal effort, he caught the punch, feeling the strength behind it.

"Not bad."

The kid's eyes narrowed slightly before he quickly backed away, freeing himself.

Knowing he had no escape, the boy took a different approach.

"Would you let me go if I return your bag… along with an extra?" he asked, offering a deal.

Ren raised an eyebrow. The thief was clever—rather than risk a fight, he was trying to negotiate.

After a brief pause, Ren nodded. "Alright, deal."

The kid tossed two money pouches to the ground before sprinting away.

Ren picked up both bags and checked the money inside.

Seeing the amount was decent, he smirked.

"Not bad. Extra cash and a light workout? I'll take it."

Humming a tune, he turned back toward home, feeling satisfied with his unexpected bonus.

As Ren walked through the festival, lost in his thoughts about the day, he noticed Juichi approaching. His father had promised they would spend the festival together, and sure enough, he had kept his word. Greeting him casually, they started touring the festival, exploring the various stalls.

They had wanted to try some festival games, but most of them were for civilian children, and they couldn't find anything specifically for shinobi. Instead, they strolled around, sampling different foods, laughing over weird flavors, and enjoying the warm festival atmosphere.

Eventually, they came across a food competition organized by the Akimichi clan, where participants could enter in teams and challenge an Akimichi clan member to an eating contest. The moment Ren saw it, he knew it was going to be funny. Sure enough, after signing up, he and Juichi were put against a middle-aged Akimichi, who was exactly what you'd expect from the clan—large, cheerful, and confident in his eating skills.

The dish for the challenge was dumplings. Ren and Juichi gave it their best effort, stuffing their mouths as quickly as they could, but despite their determination, they only managed to finish 10 plates combined. Meanwhile, their opponent had cleared 20 plates alone, barely breaking a sweat.

When the match ended, they both scurried away from the area, defeated but laughing at their loss. Eventually, they reached a quieter part of the village, where people were gathered with their families, lovers, and friends, sitting together and enjoying the festival. Ren and Juichi found a large tree, climbed onto its sturdy branches, and sat there, watching the celebration from above.

For a while, they simply enjoyed the view, the festival lights flickering below them, before Juichi suddenly broke the silence.

"Listen up, kid. You'll be starting the Academy tomorrow, and that will be your first step on the path of a shinobi." His tone was calm, but there was an unmistakable seriousness behind it. "I know you're strong, but that's only compared to kids your age. Never get complacent about your strength. You wouldn't even know how you got killed if you started getting comfortable with what little power you have now. There are people out there who could kill you with a flick of their finger."

Ren listened quietly, surprised that his father was talking so much at once.

"You remember that fox, right? Even that thing was defeated. So even though I've said this before, I'll say it again—always be cautious."

Ren looked at his father, taking in his serious expression, and something clicked inside him. He's worried.

Of course, he would be.

Feeling a strange sense of warmth, Ren nodded firmly, his usual smirk replaced with genuine understanding.

They sat there in silence, the unspoken bond between them stronger than ever.

Soon, the fireworks began, painting the sky with bursts of color, and the village was filled with cheers and laughter.

After watching for a while, they climbed down from the tree and headed home, the festival slowly coming to an end.

As Ren finished his nighttime stretches and lay down on his bed, his mind replayed his father's words.

"I'm happy he cares so much for me… it really feels good."

For the first time in a long while, he truly appreciated having someone looking out for him.

But Juichi didn't know the full truth. He didn't know that Kurama's attack was merely the beginning—far greater dangers were looming on the horizon.

"The danger of the Nine-Tails was nothing compared to what's coming. The Uchiha Massacre, Orochimaru, Akatsuki… and that's not even mentioning the Fourth Great Ninja War."

Right now, he had time to grow. Time to get stronger before the chaos began.

"I can't afford to waste a single moment."

But at the same time, he knew that constant training without rest would only make him burn out.

"Still… I should make time for Dad occasionally. Spending time with him will help me relax, and more importantly, it'll keep him from worrying too much about me."

Before falling asleep, Ren decided to check his stats to see just how much he had grown over the past two months of intense training.

"System."

A familiar panel rolled out, displaying his details.

[SYSTEM PANEL:]

[Level: 16]

[Strength: 16] (Significant improvement—his strikes now carried real power.)

[Agility: 20] (His greatest improvement—almost at Chūnin-level speed.)

[Intelligence: 19] (Slightly slower growth due to less time spent reading, but still high.)

[Vitality: 18] (Steadily improving thanks to proper training and a perfect diet.)

[Chakra: 16] (Grown steadily as his physical energy in growing.)

[Chakra Control Mastery: 52% (Intermediate)]

Over the past two months, his Strength and Agility had increased the most. Agility, in particular, had skyrocketed due to his intense training and constant movement drills.

"I'm just one step away from Chunin-level speed."

Using [Observe Panel] on shinobi running around Konoha, he had estimated that the Chunin-level range started at Level 20 and likely extended up to around 40.

His Vitality increase was thanks to a proper diet—plenty of meat and vegetables, ensuring his body kept up with his training demands.

His Chakra Control had also reached Intermediate level, but progress slowed down significantly at this stage.

"The higher I go, the harder it is to improve."

Despite that, Ren was happy with his overall progress. He had reached Genin level before joining the Academy, and if he kept this up, he would be able to achieve even greater heights.

Satisfied with his growth, he closed his eyes, letting sleep take over.

Tomorrow, the Academy would begin.

His shinobi journey was about to officially start.

A/N: Finally the set up is done and the academy arc starts, tell me how you liked the interactions between Ren and his father. His growth may seem fast but it was actually not if you see his training and this was without any points but still if you think it was too fast tell me in the comments. New characters would be introduced from the next arc but not to many either, the academy arc is 15 chapters I think, right now I just started writing the genin arc, don't want to go too much farther than the current upload so I can incorporate any changes easily. Please comment and leave reviews no matter good or bad I want to know what you think.
