Chapter 32: Duet and a Harmony of Powers

The breach to Earth-1 was less disorienting this time, a familiar shimmer that deposited Adam, Kara, and Mon-El into the bustling, slightly grittier landscape of Central City. The air here felt different, charged with a nervous energy that was distinctly Flash-esque. Barry and Kara were still trapped in the musical dream world, and it was up to the rest of the team to get them out. Adam, now surrounded by the full complement of Earth-1 heroes, felt a familiar surge of meta-knowledge. "Alright, team. Time for some inter-dimensional problem-solving. And probably some more singing. Send help."

He found Cisco, looking stressed, surrounded by monitors displaying Kara and Barry's dream-state vital signs. "They're still in there," Cisco groaned, running a hand through his hair. "The Meister's got them good. We can't wake them up."

Adam leaned over the console. "Yeah, well, that's the thing about dream worlds. They're pretty convincing. But I'm telling you, it's about emotional resonance. They need a catalyst. Something that reminds them of their real lives. Their real feelings. Their real loves. It's like, the villain makes you sing, but the only way out is to feel something real. Something that breaks the illusion."

Mon-El, looking bewildered by the sheer number of Earth-1 heroes, chimed in. "But what could break it? They are trapped in a song!"

"Exactly!" Adam said, snapping his fingers. "It's not about a physical force. It's about a heartfelt plea. A declaration. A moment of true emotional honesty. Think about it. Barry's got Iris. Kara's got… well, she's got a lot of people who care about her. Someone needs to remind them of that. And maybe, if you're feeling particularly brave, sing them out of it. I'm not volunteering, by the way. My singing voice sounds like a dying badger."

Cisco's eyes widened. "Emotional honesty… you think their true loves could wake them up?"

"It's a classic trope for a reason, buddy," Adam said with a shrug. "Sometimes, the most powerful force in the universe isn't a speed force or a heat vision. It's love. Or, you know, a really good hug. Whichever comes first."

He helped coordinate efforts with the Earth-1 heroes, subtly guiding them with his meta-knowledge. He'd "accidentally" suggest that Iris West might be the key to waking Barry, or that a heartfelt message from Alex could reach Kara. He even managed to crack a few jokes about the musical numbers, critiquing their choreography or song choices.

"Okay, so the villain makes you sing?" Adam quipped to a bewildered Oliver Queen, who was looking utterly out of his element in the brightly lit D.E.O. "That's just cruel and unusual punishment. Especially if you're tone-deaf like me. I'd rather face a dozen Dominators than sing 'Greased Lightning' in public."

Oliver just stared at him, then at Barry, then back at Adam, a flicker of confusion in his eyes. "You're… certainly something."

"It's a gift," Adam said with a grin. "Or a curse. Depends on the day."

As the team worked tirelessly, Adam's concern for Kara was palpable. He kept glancing at her unconscious form, a quiet worry etched on his face. His bond with Cisco and Mon-El strengthened, as they worked together towards a common goal. His unspoken romantic connection to Kara was further emphasized to the Earth-1 heroes, who observed his deep concern and the way he spoke about her.

Finally, the breakthrough came. Iris's heartfelt confession to Barry, and Mon-El's desperate plea to Kara, broke the Music Meister's hold. Kara and Barry woke up, disoriented but alive.

Later, as they prepared to return to Earth-38, Kara found Adam. "You were right," she said, her voice soft. "About the emotional connection. It worked."

Adam just offered a small, tired smile. "I told you. I'm full of surprisingly useful information. And bad jokes. It's a package deal." He looked at her, and the silent understanding passed between them. He was always there. Always.
