Just as she sent the message, the glass window in front of her suddenly shattered. Kasumigaoka Utaha, flames burning around her, dashed straight for the school gate.

Eriri paused, then followed Aizen's direction with her eyes. There she saw a familiar figure with black hair, sneaking toward the school building, crouched low.

Amegakure Village's Angel: Is that Tomoya Aki? Is he trying to come back to the school?

Curly-haired Guy: Are you crazy? You want to go back to school now?

Machete Girl: Crap, those bugs noticed him.

Aki Tomoya thought he was being sneaky, but to the swarm, he was glowing like a spotlight.

The only reason he hadn't been attacked before was because the balance hadn't been broken. But now, the bugs—completely out of control—weren't going to let him go.

The buzzing of wings filled the air as several bugs flew at him from all directions.

Dark red flames burst out, and the bugs, now burnt to a crisp, scattered in all directions.

"Kasumigaoka-senpai?" Aki Tomoya stared blankly at the long-haired girl standing in flames, clearly shocked.

"Did you come back just to die, Tomoya-kun?" Utaha Kasumigaoka glanced at him, sending streams of fire from her hands toward the bugs. "Stay close and don't run off!"

Tomoya, now fully alert, didn't listen. He turned and sprinted madly toward the school building.

Curly-haired Guy: Uh, yeah, he's gone. He ran off real fast.

Scarlet Lotus Fairy: What an idiot. This guy really is a fool, huh?

Amegakure Village's Angel: What is he even thinking? Maybe he suddenly remembered someone important is still trapped inside?

Shark-Faced Guy: Could it be Eriri?

Skirt-Flipping Maniac: Or maybe it's Megumi Kato?

As everyone in the group was guessing why Tomoya ran back to school, Kasumigaoka managed to block his path again. "Tomoya-kun, are you not hearing a word I'm saying?"

"Kasumigaoka-senpai, please move," Tomoya said with a deep breath. "I have something really important I need to do. It's about my future!"

"If you're worried about Eriri, then stay close to me!" Kasumigaoka's tone had a bit of jealousy in it, but her voice softened anyway.

If Tomoya was truly worried about Eriri, Utaha would definitely feel jealous. But it would also prove he was a man who cared deeply for others. That she didn't choose the wrong guy.

But what surprised both Kasumigaoka and everyone watching the stream was what Tomoya said next. He paused, clearly confused. "Eriri? She probably already went home, right?"

"If you're not worried about Eriri, then why run back here?" Kasumigaoka's expression turned cold again. Was he secretly seeing someone else?

"My laptop," Tomoya adjusted his glasses. "I left it in the media room. It has a ton of game data on it! I have to go get it back!"

This is an Actor: For someone who's super into ACG games, a game they made themselves is basically their future. It kind of makes sense.

Curly-haired Guy: I mean, I get it, but it still doesn't change the fact that he's a dumbass. A total dumbass!
