As Ex-Machina In No Game No Life: Zero

Chapter 13: Chapter 12: Bondage!

"Query: May we begin to fulfill our agreement?"

"Fine, fine! Prepare yourself to witness our true power!" Kaguya declared, a wild grin on her face.

"Affirmation. We will not hold back," Yuzuru added, her tone flat but firm.

As they spoke, my energy sensors flared. A maelstrom of violent wind erupted around the sisters, lifting them into the sky.

Within the swirling vortex, their casual clothes were torn away, replaced by their Spirit astral dresses.

I stood my ground, my long hair whipping wildly in the gale, but my body remained unmoved. I calmly dismissed my human disguise.

"—Endo Armament: Activate—"

"—Pseudo-Endo: Sandalphon—"

The counterfeit greatsword appeared in my hand. It had become my go-to weapon, not for any particular reason other than it felt comfortable and familiar.

High above, the transformation was complete. The sisters hovered in their revealing, bondage-themed, each adorned with a single, mechanical-looking wing that gave them an uncanny, asymmetrical beauty.

A dark chain tipped with a diamond-shaped blade appeared by Yuzuru's side: her Angel, Raphael—El Re'em, the Binder.

In opposition, Kaguya summoned her own Angel, Raphael—El Kanaph, the Piercer: a colossal lance that dwarfed her own body.

The stage was set. As they revealed their Angels, my systems were already hard at work, analyzing every particle of data.

Kaguya attacked first.

She pointed her massive lance at me and dove, the winds propelling her at breathtaking speed. A direct hit would be... unpleasant.

I could have dodged. In terms of pure velocity, I was confident I could outpace even these wind spirits. With my energy constraints removed, my Velocity Override could be pushed to its absolute limits.

But I needed data. I needed to feel the raw power of their Angels up close.

"—Aeterna Defensio—"

As my shield flared to life, my sensors detected a new threat. A black chain, moving even faster than Kaguya, was streaking towards my back—my blind spot, for a human. An excellent pincer attack, born of the twins' innate synergy.

For an Ex-Machina, however, there are no blind spots.

BOOM!

The tip of Kaguya's lance slammed into my shield. The thin, translucent barrier, which looked as though it would shatter with a touch, held firm against the immense kinetic force of her charge.

Her momentum was completely absorbed. She didn't push me back a single millimeter.

Kaguya's eyes widened in shock. The sheer defensive power of the shield was beyond her comprehension. Yuzuru's chain, its surprise attack foiled by the impact, was deflected and recalled.

They now had a baseline for my power. They understood they were not dealing with an ordinary foe.

As Yuzuru circled above, looking for an opening, Kaguya engaged me on the ground, a whirlwind of close-quarters combat.

Minutes passed. Yuzuru's probing attacks from every conceivable angle were useless.

Every feint, every coordinated strike was effortlessly parried or dodged. I was not just defending; I was counter-attacking, forcing Kaguya to remain on the defensive despite her aggressive style.

The pressure mounted. She was fighting a tireless, flawless machine that was adapting to her moves faster than she could make them.

I'm going to lose! The thought shocked Kaguya. In her surprise, her focus wavered for a fraction of a second.

It was all I needed.

I funneled more power into Sandalphon and unleashed a wave of golden energy. It smashed through Kaguya's hasty defense, sending her staggering back.

In the same motion, I raised my left hand and snatched Yuzuru's chain out of the air.

As it wrapped around my arm, I clamped down, my grip like a vise. Yuzuru, realizing my intent, immediately released her Angel.

With one opponent repelled and the other disarmed, I pressed my advantage.

"—Endo Armament: Activate—"

"—Pseudo-Endo: El Re'em—"

A golden chain, a perfect replica of Yuzuru's, appeared in my left hand. It shot forward, binding the stunned Kaguya before she could react. I yanked the chain, pulling her towards me, and activated Velocity Override.

I closed the distance in an instant. Kaguya could only watch as the blade of Sandalphon grew larger and larger in her vision.

….

"Guwaah!"

The flat of the blade slammed into Kaguya's stomach. Her astral dress protected her from being bisected, but the sheer force of the impact doubled her over.

I spun, using her body as the head of a massive flail, and launched her like a baseball into the distant treeline.

She managed to arrest her flight, digging two deep furrows in the ground as she skidded to a halt. Before she could catch her breath, I was on her. I hooked my arm around her neck.

In the next moment, Kaguya was airborne again, this time being dragged backward into a high arc. She struggled, but my grip was like iron. I had her head.

Then...

BOOM!

I drove her headfirst into the ground, creating a massive crater.

With Kaguya temporarily incapacitated, I turned my attention to Yuzuru, still hovering in the sky.

She knew she was outmatched in close combat. Her Angel was built for speed and control, not direct confrontation.

With her front-line fighter taken out, victory was impossible.

But there was one last option. One that required Kaguya.

In a move I immediately recognized as a feint, Yuzuru turned and fled. She's trying to lure me away. I glanced at the crater where Kaguya lay. I see. She's buying time.

A flicker of genuine excitement passed through my circuits. Show me. Show me your true, complete Angel.

I played along, giving chase, firing a few token energy blasts from Sandalphon to keep up the pretense.

Yuzuru flew in a wide, looping arc, feigning a desperate escape while secretly circling back towards her sister. She didn't think I'd fall for it, but to her surprise, I followed without hesitation.

...

"Oww... ow, ow, ow..." Kaguya finally pulled her head out of the dirt and collapsed onto the ground. "What happened?" she mumbled, looking around. The scary robot was gone. So was Yuzuru.

Just as she was pondering her abandonment, a pair of feet appeared in her vision. It was Yuzuru.

"I didn't think you'd get out on your own," Yuzuru said, pulling her sister to her feet. "No time to explain. We have to do it now. She's right behind me!"

"What?! You mean... that?" Kaguya's eyes widened. It was their last resort, the only thing that might stand a chance. "Here? Now?!"

Yuzuru simply nodded, her expression grim.

Understanding passed between them without another word. They closed their eyes, clasped their hands, and pressed their bodies together.
